Farilanes death broke me. The only other time i ever cried like that from a book was when Dobby died. Not only is it heartbreaking that she dies, but the fact that she is Turins true soul mate and knowing he is denying his own only shot at happiness for the sake of the world just adds more layers to the sorrow

And thank you for making me tear up all over again, reliving these tragic deaths. MJS is so good at making you feel so deeply, especially because his characters seem so real. 😢❤

yeah raithe and farilaine i agree entirely. farilaine especially cause that was peak Turin as well imo. The character was nowhere near as realized in any of the earlier books as he was by Farilaine. It was also so poetic, in the way that Uberlin killed Trilos so that his immortal daughter could never see him again, and now fate is commanding him to do the same thing to his own love, knowing that he'll never be able to see her again because he himself cannot die.

i used the story of trilos as a sort of inspiration in my own book as well. a god among a pantheon of gods, whose brethren were going to force him to commit a world-shattering atrocity. what does he do? he goes to the one place immortals could never follow him. he goes to death.

Raithe, Farilane and Tesh messed me up. Tesh did not return to the world of the living and that made it tragic.
I had forgotten about Hilfred. Thanks for bringing up that trauma again. Lol.

Of course! A couple different ways to ask questions to me or the community:
      - You could join our Riyria Discord. We discuss on there and a lot of questions get answered (Sullivan himself is even on there and can answer questions!): discord.gg/kYMdhRF
      - You can ask questions of the Reddit Riyria Community: www.reddit.com/r/riyria/
      - You could email me at RiyriaExplained@gmail.com. I don't check that email that often as I don't get many emails, but I do occasionally.
