Billy Connolly is one of the greatest human beings to have ever graced this planet.
Legend
Indeed he is.
Couldn't agree more.
true words
He says making us laugh makes him happy - if he know how much his making us laugh made us love him he'd...? Reflect it back to us in a painting that made us love him even more I guess! One day there will be a hall full of his works in a gallery i can reach!- I will be there! Love you Billy!
The best Scottish Icon everyone in Scotland will be upset when this man sadly passes but we need to be grateful at his age we still have him
It's a priviledge for us to still have this man with us. And a joy he is getting to live the long life he deserves. All the words overused are truly applicable to him. Unique, icon, legend.
Comic genius x
@@markfox7764 A term that is greatly overused for comics (and many others) but also one that genuinely applies to Billy.
A big hairy madman
I have a perfect word for you, but I'm not allowed to use it.
My absolute hero, the funniest person to ever exist. Love you Billy.
First time I saw Billy on Parky, many moons ago, I was smitten. His observations and demeanor on stage and tv, superb. Looking good and managing his condition well by the looks of it. RIP Parky.
You always make me smile Billy. such a wonderful fella.
One of those rare people that just hearing his voice fills your soul. Thank you for making me laugh until I hurt.
You are looking great Billy and I'm so glad that you are continuing with yet another one of your creative gifts, as like you, your art is unique. Keep on keeping on mate. Sheila from Australia (No that is my real name) 😂
An incredible, amazing, funny man. I adore him.🇨🇦
absolute legend of a man.
Hi Billy. I'm originally from the Riviera on the west coast : Gourock. Now residing in British Columbia, Canada. I think Scottish humour is the finest on the planet, and you have given me many moments of pleasure, usually accompanied by extreme abdominal pain. I actually wanted you to stop! For years I have wanted to tell you one of the best true stories I've ever experienced. I wanted to make you laugh instead of the reverse. I missed you by about five minutes at the Troller pub in Horseshoe Bay. West Vancouver, many years ago, so I missed that opportunity. It would give me great pleasure to give you pleasure by relaying that tale about "Bobby Reakie". Many regards Jim Lindsay
"When I was a comedian" No Billy you always have been and always will be the most natural comedian, you are what makes people smile and it's something nobody can take away from you.
Funniest comedian to ever grace a stage in my opinion 👌
@@Mark-lj1dj just talking with what looks like a script, there not many can do that, and billy is one of them?
@@Mark-lj1dj Of course you've seen every comedian to ever grace a stage. No, I didn't think so.
No Billy is right he was a comedian. Now he's retired and unwell. Leave the poor man alone for crying out loud.
Billy looks amazing for an 80 year old with Parkinson's. For years he's hardly had a line on his face. Long live the big yin! 🥰
My wife and I are huge fans of Billy. We bought our first house in 2007 (which we could barely afford) around the same time Billy was playing a local town. Tickets to the gig were not an option on our wages at the time and the venue sold out almost instantly anyway, but in a moment of madness, I paid triple the price online for a pair of tickets so we could go. We struggled over the following couple of months as a result of my spontaneity but it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
My oldest son did this for his nearest sibling. First concert for my younger son. It spoiled them both for other concerts, even their fav pop bands.
We remember life by these memories, it's wonderful and a beautiful thing when we get to make those moments in life happen ❤
‘It’s not important who you don’t like, It’s important who you like’ - so many people need to learn this lesson in all areas of life!
@JoelWende - I like this message, too ☮️
This is a step in the direction of true wisdom. Not focusing on hate but positivity. Another is listening instead of talking. You know what you know you only learn from what others tell you and reading I guess but that's a bit boring.
Beautiful.
"When I WAS a comedian".
Still has no idea of his talent.
It's your humanity Billy.
You humble us all.
We love you Bill.
100% agree
I didnt get that for a sec. He will always be a comedian, and one of the all time greats!
So you know better than he does. How arrogant is that.
That was lovely to watch. Seeing the true Billy pushing through. To those behind the scenes who made this happen. Thank you.
Billy makes me happy, just hearing his voice makes me smile 😁
Billy makes me cry! He is beautifully innapropriate and so full of life. His stories are the best. He is an amazingly talented tour de force. The world is a better place for Billy. 😊
Billy is the sweetest, funniest, most gracious soul. I love his artwork.
I don't have a question for Billy. I just want him to know his humour and craziness got me through many sad and unhappy times in my life. I have loved him like a very best friend for many years and to see him today answering questions brought the smile back to my face. it was because of Billy's humour that I learned to laugh out loud. Before I would just smile. Thank you so much Billy, I will love you always. 💖💖💖🦘🦘🦘
That is incredibly sad.
Used to listen to Billy’s cassettes when I was too young to do so as a kid in the 70’s.
Always got caught giggling under the covers, when I should have been sleeping.
Got in trouble at school for singing The Shitkickers Waltz in early Primary School.
My life/sense of humour, would not have been the same without this man.
BS story there United again
Why would I lie about something like that?
Muppet….
@@ItsUnitedAgain Don't say that, you're being offensive to Muppets by associating a sewer dweller with them.
Billy is one of the greatest storytellers of the modern age, our generation's Mark Twain. We are lucky to have him.
Just thanks Billy. Cheers - you have made me/us smile for 40 or 50 or 60 years. Your humanity is humbling and inspiring and everyone knows it. God Bless you and thanks again.
Billy looks well , glad to see ! Great idea answering people’s questions on computer! He looks happy talking to them about his life adventures good on yeh billy all the best

@@louisecoles6568Billy seems to have recovered from whatever condition he pretended to have for a but of attention and money. last I saw him he was pretending to be dribbling into a bib - glad he's not faking it anymore
Billy Connolly has NEVER had Parkinson's disease.
He was simply retired by his shadow handlers just like Lee Evans was.
The entertainment industry is controlled by shadow handlers who actually decide
who can perform, where they can perform, and for how long.
He was retired to.make way for new talent.
The world is a stage.
Matthew 10 v 26
"For there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed"
Billy, you aren't a 'past' comedian, you are a 'current' comedian. I regale some of your best sketches to none the wiser (but always give credit to you) foreign friends. No-one will ever have the delivery you have though, or do justice to it! Sorry for the loss of your Brother Parkie. Live long and prosper big yin.
Billy might have missed the mark about his jokes becoming air. I'm sure everyone here has quite a few of his jokes burnt into their memories. They stay with you for a lifetime.
Wire brush and Dettol
"Wee wobby"
The theatrical jokes….do you remember watching him walk on stage wearing the Banana Boots? I wouldn’t have been old enough to enjoy the first moment he introduced the bananas but I do know, when I discovered a video recording, I was broken by laughter 😂 Big Yin nonsense! 😂
'It's not important who you don't like... it's important who you like.' - This is perfect. He is a bard.
You still are a comedian Billy. The greatest
I have been privileged enough to have seen Billy live 3 times when he has visited New Zealand and each time, to borrow a quote from him, I thought I would need an ambulance. No one has made me laugh to the point of stomach cramps, like he has. Love ya Bill.
Love the bum on the face image 😂 too adorable. I’ve loved catching up with you Billy, you’re looking fabulous btw. I think you may be inspiring me to start drawing or painting a little again. Thank You ❤x
One of the truly funniest comedian I have witnessed live. Good to see him looking so well. A true British treasure. God bless, Billy.
I saw him a few years ago. He was doing great, but stopped the show early.
So happy to see Billy❤ I love that he's continued to be creative and still spreading joy in his inimitable way❤❤❤
Who doesn’t love Billy? He inspires me to be positive always. Especially when you’re surrounded by negativity. Positivity will save the world. ❤
@@B.A.Pilgrim He has got Parkinson's.
@@B.A.Pilgrimwth are you on about?? He didn’t pretend anything.
There are quite a few people actually. There are people who are on Billy's message boards who say they prefer other comedians. They are usually roundly insulted for daring to prefer other comedians. As Billy himself said "it doesn't matter who you don't like, it's who you do like that's important.
I love you Mr. Connolly, I am going to pray that you live forever and when you do leave this world, I hope that I meet up with you! ❤️🇨🇦From Nova Scotia referred to as New Scotland. Happy drawing, keep keeping it real! 🌍😂 16:50
My hero. This was a joy to watch. I hope he does more of these.
In the land of laughter, where humor takes its throne,
There's a man named Billy, whose wit has brightly shone.
With a twinkle in his eye and a Scottish heart so true,
He's brought joy to millions, in everything he'd do.
From the stages of the world to the screens both big and small,
Billy Connolly's presence would capture one and all.
His tales of life's adventures, so vivid and so bold,
Would leave us in stitches, our spirits uncontrolled.
With a beard and banter, a motorcycle's roar,
He'd take us on a journey, to lands both near and far.
From Glasgow's streets to the highlands' mystic lore,
Billy Connolly's humor, an unforgettable star.
He'd share his views on life, with humor razor-sharp,
And touch on every topic, from the mundane to the harp.
Through comedy and storytelling, he'd make us see,
The beauty in the world, in his own unique decree.
In the world of stand-up, where laughter knows no end,
Billy Connolly's legacy, as a comic, transcends.
A true comedic legend, with charisma to defend,
He's left an indelible mark, a cherished, lifelong friend.
So here's to Billy Connolly, the funny man so dear,
Whose laughter and whose wisdom, we'll forever hold near.
In the realm of humor, he's a pioneer,
A comic genius, whom we revere and revere.
You're insane, clinically insane.
I've so much love for the Big Yin. Billy deserves every last ounce of adulation that comes his way. He has been a part of my families life since the 70's. I can remember many nights spent with my parents watching Billy on tv making us all laugh. It was my happy place! It's great to see him looking and doing so well still. The world is a much better place because Billy Connolly exists.
I totally agree 😊😊
Ahh Billy, for 40 years I have always cheered me up with every you have done, from standup to your tours. Your stories are captivating, amazing and so hilarious.
Bless you my friend, go well. ❤
"I would like to come to your house.................and steal things" 😛 Made me chuckle. Thanks Billy.
I also liked "I wouldn't come to your house". Its just the bluntness that makes me lol but thats why we all love Billy
Billy taught me to swear properly and for that I will forever be grateful ❤
Hes such a great guy. You can tell he has warmth in his heart. You're a comedian always Billy :)
He has a highly developed sense of Justice that comes from childhood trauma. It's roundabouts and swings...I know because I have it too...
Poor you.
Stay strong my friend! ❤❤❤
Me too
"I'm glad you live in Kangaroo's Pickpocket. I love Australia" That bit cracked me up.
Good to see ya Billy, all the best and thanks :)
I was invited by my parents to a Billy Connolly show at The Forum Theatre, Waterford, Ireland, maybe 25 years ago & my parents took exception to the penis jokes (the woolly trousers) & left with my sister - I stayed until the end, laughed my arse off. In one moment I thought to myself, when will I ever get to see the Big Yin again? I was given the silent treatment after, we were supposed to all go out to dinner together - they dropped me home and pealed out and went for dinner without me. F√¢k 'em 😂 So glad I stayed to this day, thank God I did. All the great TV series, the appearances on Parky's TV show, the appearances on Late Late Show with Gay Byrne. You're the best to ever do it. Thanks for the laughs! Love ya Billy!!!💕
Its sad that you were ditched but not sure what they expected when seeing Billy Connelly..... Good for you for staying.
Billy ya kidding yourself you'll be drawing cats before you know it. Power of suggestion
Nice to see you Billy, as sharp as ever. Im pleased that the creative part fo you is still going in another form. We could see you when you were on the stage , and now we can hang you in our homes where you continue to make us smile.
It's a joy to see Billy chatting and laughing. Long may it continue!
The saddest thing here “when I was a comedian”……. You, Sir Billy, will ALWAYS be my favourite comedian. Absolute legend
He's right, he was a comedian. He's now retired, leave him alone.
@@irbennett Troll angry, Troll don’t like people, Troll want others to be angry.
A wonderful man!! His wilderbeast joke is still my favourite 😂😂 xx
Some of my happiest memories are my entire family in the sitting room laughing uproariously at Billy's stand up on VHS. We were truly blessed to have him in our home.
The joke I’d like Billy to draw is the incontinence trousers on the night out dancing and asking his dance partner what her star sign is - it still cracks me up today 😂
What's your sign ? Oh Sagittarius half-man half- horse licenced to shit in the street ha ha 😂 🤣.
'Saddle up and ride your pony.' Cares not a jot! Billy will be sad today because his dear friend, Sir Michael Parkinson, has passed away. R.I.P. Parky.
@@22Phantasm yeah, RIP Parky
The interviews with Parky were brilliant - and probably helped to launch Billy into the big time - he’s still one of the funniest ever comedians to grace a stage! Incontinence pants still makes me cry with laughter!
His scone shoes sketch, which for some reason is no longer available on RUclips is utter genius 😂😂😂😂😂
That was brilliant. Billy is as entertaining as ever. Thanks for the many many laughs Billy.
The bare bum story made my mouth go small for a second and then I realised- it’s Billy, behave. Absolute legend I’ve adored since the 80s. This was wonderful to watch ❤
Typical Billy.. even with his illness and disabilities he can still go on some mad tangent with his storys. Absolute legend of a man. ❤
Such wonderful wise words of wisdom how brilliant is Billy 🤗. You are a true treasure Billy and so generous with your time with others. Bless you xx
As a former 80's and 90's kid, there was only one man allowed to swear in the house and it was you Billy.
If I could give you a mere chuckled in return, could always buy a Giraffe and paint it brown, Now that's a high horse to be on!
I hope he does a cat for me! It's true what the guy after me says. His art just makes me smile.
He's defo kept you dangling on a string there Ian on the Cat drawing 😂, at least you got an interaction with the Big Yin.
You've definitely sown a seed in that brain of Billy's. Keep us posted!😊
He did a cat!
From a big fan to the Big Yin, stay well. Much love to you❤🥰
Billy is a special soul, just like Robin Williams. The world will be a darker, colder place when he's gone.
They were good friends ❤
Hello Sir Billy, you're looking great & wish you are feeling well. I am a Glass Artist. I fuse, blow, cast & do stained glass. Some self taught. My question is, how do you find inspiration for you Art, which I love by the way! I start something so complicated & then realise, I've given myself a larger expectation than expected. Your art work can be so complicated & do you one at a time or doing several at a time? Bought your new 'Tome' & signed portrait! It's for my Husband's birthday & I've had a quick flip & it is just magic! Hoping in the near future to purchase more from Castle Galleries. They are brilliant & so lovely to deal with. Thank you
Warmth, positivity and laughter at a time when the world is seemingly collapsing around us. The world needs more Billies and fewer Tories.
OHMYGOD!! I've wondered about the Highland Cow as well--i never dreamed someone else would ask that!! :)
That being said, Sir Connolly is right: there's already some fabulous Heeland Coo art out there. I bought a lovely set of prints from a local artist in Forfar this summer as gifts for family. If anybody else loves cow art, I'm happy to pass her name on, i'd just need to go look it up and don't want to appear rude discussing the art of another ;)
Billy's jokes join the aether as permanent monuments to his genius. His line, 'The desire to become a politician should automatically exclude you from ever becoming one' has stayed with me for decades! And a mate of mine just announced he is standing for his local council! Did I have to bite my tongue to not have the Big Yin's words flying out!
Miss you Billy. Would love some of your art! Keep keeping funny! 😍
Big Yin. Absolute legend.
there's not enough words to describe the joy Billy brings to people who love him. Thank you Billy for everything you have done over the many years. I have laughed until it hurt......
Parkinsons vs the Big Yin.....There's only going to be one winner.....He used to work in a shipyard.
I adored Billy’s USA trip videos, in fact all of his travel videos. He’s a wonderful man
Which character you have come across on ur travels or have introduced too in comedy sums up a Scotsman to you big man.please tell me what is the most beautiful place you would bring to mind if asked for just one z
And there it was. The message for right now. He says. It's not important who you don't like, it's important who you llike. The glass which has been half filled steadfastly by this man for decades, was filled once again. Absolutely on purpose. Cheers Billy. I drink from that glass every time I see you. And guess what. There are enough servings from that glass for all of us to share yet the level never wavers.
He’s certainly a treasure… so very upbeat and silly… windswept and interesting!
a great video. so good to see him.
Those look like cats on your shirt! 😂🇨🇦❤️ 3:27
😂 come on Billy draw an Aberdeen Angus coo!!!! 😊
Have you started drawing that Angus coo yet big yin? Ha ha 😂 🤣 .
I was less than ten years old and my sister even younger when my parents took us to see Billy (the first time) at the Adelaide Festival Theatre. He was wearing banana boots and walked out on stage in a leotard and said can ye see it? Well even as children that was just hysterical! I just love you "Big un"!
Great guy Billy, he looks great and so happy xxx
Such a lovely guy . I am 59 & have admired his humour since my teens. Will definitely look up his artwork now - such a talented man.
I love Sir Billy. How do I get to ask him a question? 😊❤😊❤😊

Love Billy. Loved this. I really like what he said about not disliking any artists - that's our Billy! xxx
I’d love for the camera to pan out and find out that Billy is sitting there in his 🍌 Wellies!
7:13 Omg, I nearly choked. Especially remembering a special Billy did over 10 years ago where he was naked on his trike at the end of it. 😂 Billy is a global treasure!
From one lone Scotsman in south Australia, I've been a fan of your's for near on 40 years.
WE ALL LOVE YOU BILLY CONNOLLY!!! God bless, huge hugs Biguin.
I grew up on Billy and Victoria Wood doing ITV's an audience with... "whats your star sign? Sagittarius... Half man, half horse ... License to s#&t in the street" God bless you Big Yin ☀️🌼
Absolutely loved to hear about Agnes. I had no idea it was a one off. When I was around 14/15 I got taken to see him in the Kings where he did it live. I remember roaring with laughter until I was sore. Billy is just incredible. He's beyond a national hero.
What a legend Billy is. An excellent stand up comedian and a great person.
