- Handrè Pollard The Springbok Fly-Half ( Number 10 ) Or Centre ( Number 12 & 13 )
Handrè Pollard Is One Of The Greatest Kickers Of All Time. He's Insane Strength Mixed With Crazy Speed Makes Him A Very Feared Opponent To Play Against!
He Plays For The Rugby Club Leicester Tigers In England. But He Plays Fly-Half For The Springboks ( South Africa )
He was Born In South Africa!
Handré Pollard. The statistics speak for themselves... 1. 2015, he makes his RWC debut. With 93 points, he ends up being the top points scorer. And earns the bronze medal ( SA ended 3rd during the 2015 RWC ). 2. He wins the 2019 RWC, scoring 22 points in the Final. 3. He wins the 2023 RWC, scoring all 12 points for SA in the Final. His kicking during the 2023 RWC is impeccable : 13/13. 4. The most incredible statistic : he is a bronze medallist, and double ( back-to-back nogal ) gold medallist at only the age of 29. Legend.
He certianly plays and kicks better than Libbok
Pollard is the best fly half of his generation, we have had Morne’ Steyn and Naas Botha who could kick a drop goal from anywhere. All these Fly halves were the best of their generation.
POLLARD great admiration to him, the very best rugby player, an Icon.
His contribution, the best kicker and player contributed highly in winning the World cup. Such a nice well mannered guy.
Love you Pollard.
Remember Naas Botha? Absolute Rugby Genius. Naas used to say “If a team won the Currie Cup once - they were not champions - a team must carry on winning year after year - then you are a Champion Team eg Northern Transvaal.” The Springboks - under Rassie - are true WCC - 8 attempts - 4 Gold Medals and 2 Bronze Medals. Now that is outstanding. 75% (Let us not forget all the political interference from the ANC and quota players etc from that idiot Fikile - Minister of Sport - it surely could have been better?)
@@johnlamb3101He was only a good kicker, could not do lots of other things, like defend, attack. He was a a.....
The 86/87 backline with Botha and Gerber, were in my opinion a better backline than the 2023 backline. Had they played in the RWC87, they would have won....pity they were barred from playing!
yawn....they where good but time has moved on.
not even a debate and the best thing he's still young enough to feature for the boks in 2027
Pollard made in 52 in the quarter final against France and 48 meters against England
Sure Handre is a great 10. Three WC medals at 29 is a remarkable feature. At 1 stage the highest earner - but earlier in time, a player called Naas Botha - referred to as a rugby genius by Dr Danie Craven was better. Handre must concentrate on slotting drop goals as Naas did from all kickable positions - just as Handre is a WC winner - Naas was a Test Match winner. Modern and vintage day genuises for the Springboks. Well done boys. I respect you both greatly.
Handre = BMT! 👏🏆🥇
If im not mistaken he ddnt miss a single kick in this years World Cup....or maybe in that first game
14/14 for 2023 RWC. 100% success rate
It was 13 from 13. HP was the main reason why we won the world cup and should have been player of the tournament.
Yes he didn’t miss a shot he is cracked
Yes
@@mtnstrand2819 he would have probs been the best springboks players of the tournament but the player of the tournament has to be bundee aki from Ireland
Proper baller
Frans Steyn has entered the chat
Incredible player!
Say what you want, what other flyhalf won us 2 world cups....each generation will have their heroes and good for them, but he is the best period.
I'm not old enough to have seen Naas play and appreciate what made him special, all I know is that in watching old clips it's very hard to respect the bright white shorts he always seemed able to maintain.
Definitely not something that Polard has a problem with, seems like a more complete player by far, even if he isn't quite as good at controlling a game.
Excellent all-rounder! Difficult to compare against Naas Botha, Piet Visage or Gerald Bosch eras.
Netso!!! En ek LIKE Pollard! Maar vergelyk met Naas???....😅😅😅😅
Butch??????
Jannie???????
Naas would be good in any era and Polard very good
Not even in one of Naas Botha's old socks, bro.... Times are a changing...
You can't even compare apples with apples nowadays, because apples ain't apples anymore...
Very good kicker forr post. That is about it. No where near naas botha or Hanibol
And let's not forget a man like Henry Honiball. After Naas he is the best...There might have been better before I was born but for the last 60 years they are the best with Morne a close third.
Honiball could not kick for posts.
Ask yourself. The flyhalf not responsible for the goalkicking. Dry field loftes Versveld. Who do you play Pollard or Damian Willemse
Definitely the best 👊🏆
Sorry gentlemen
I disliked Naas Botha while he dominated WP and the domestic rugby scene. Since growing up and less biased and watching a program of his career highlights recently, I must admit no fly half comes near him. Doc Craven was right, he truly was a rugby genius. Kicked left and right footed. Used a leather ball, no kicking T. He was a freak. Finnish and klaar
Not even close to Naas Botha!!!
far better
Best ever is an overused statement. But yes he is talented
Wait, is the quality of fly half determined by their kicking or the way they play and manage the game?
Was just about to ask that myself.
Beautiful ❤ But not the Best Ever!!!
Naas Botha is the greatest ever springbok flyhalf
a grat kicker of the ball under pressure . the best flyhalf ? not even close.naas botha saw space a lot better and an even better kucker of the ball. take pollards goal kicking away.. and he does not measure up tp players like Honibol .butch James. and espesially anaas botha
Dr Danie Craven said that you see such a player once in a generation. The same level as
Naas Botha. Cobus🐳
He surely is the best Springbok fly-half of his generation and the best in the world at a the moment IMO. He cross kicks are genius!
But... Best Springbok fly-half ever? I don't think so.
Based on games I watched from 1980 to present, here are my top 5:
1. Naas Botha
2. Handre Pollard
3. Morne Steyn
4. Henry Honibal
5. Errol Tobias
And if you go dig into the Springbok annals, he moves to no. 4 IMO
1. Naas Botha
2. Bennie Osler
3. Piet Visagie
4. Handre Pollard
5. Morne Steyn
6. Hansie Brewis
7. Henry Honibal
8. Errol Tobias
He is good but not carter
Don't worry he will past Carter with three world cups next time around
Goodday reader. Can you believe they want to replace him with a local yahoo. Makes me sick right
into my stomach. We sit with double world cup winners worth only the colour of their skin. Cobus 🐳
