  • G-d begins to put His plan to redeem Israel from Egyptian bondage into motion in this week’s Torah portion of parashat Va’era, which features the first seven of the ten plagues that were visited upon Pharaoh and all of Egypt. The unique plague of fiery hail encapsulates the profound and powerful life lessons of this process of redemption: revealing absolute knowledge of G-d’s unity in a world of illusion and doubt.
    The Torah portion of Va’era (Exodus 6 : 2 - 9 : 35) is read on Shabbat, Tevet 28, 5783 - January 21, 2023

This week Torah Parshat is especially close to my heart.
It took Hashem's miracle to make communist Gorbachev let the Jews out of the slavery of the former USSR.
    Praised be HE. 🙏💗🔯

    Shabbat Shalom dearest Moreh Richman.
Glorious Torah Portion here again this Yom.
It made my Heart Sing, and drew me up to Heavenly Fields.
If Yah has found Favour again to us all, this Yom, May we all grow up as the Soft Malleable Plants of Wheat, bowing our Growing fruits before Ha Shem Adoni Alohiym of Yash'ar'al.
    Hallaluyah

I'm sure there were some Egyptians that believed in Hasham and didn't experience the hail and there may have been some Hebrews that rebelled despite the wonders. Hashem is merciful and wants everyone to be His people.

    Aish - fire + mayim - water = firmament - shamayim.
The burning fire of desire + the freezing ice of hatred = HAIL/hell.

It's a thought that our planet is positioned in the "goldilocks" zone, between the freezing and vaporizing of water, a perfect position for life.

It seems to me this is the exact sequence of events that occur in a methane hydrate ice outburst that would have preceded the supervolcanic eruption on Thera circa 1600 to 1592bce. If that is what it was that Hashem used to create this miracle, it must have been absolutely remarkable, and it would have indeed affected the entire planet.

a yellow haze would be likely if the region was affected and rapid climate disturbances. I can see how the supervolcano at Thera (fear in English) would have caused darkness and pillars of fire and smoke, tsunamis and extraordinary phenomenon. It would be incredible if science and the exodus were examined side by side, because there should be deposits and burn areas that can be dated using thermolumenescence

A low frequency resonance and massive explosive force would be necessary for a sound that would be felt in the body to the heart, and if that is similar to what happened I can only imagine in astonishment and wonder how our ancestors and Moses walked out of that.

half frozen, and half consumed by fire is exactly what methane hydrate "ice" causes. If that is the future punishment of the wicked, then we could map where it will come from on the high pressure areas where methane hydrates concentrate on the sea floors. Is there a sea floor area with excess methane hydrate concretions near an underwater supervolcano?
