Can relate. My dad was a revert when he was 5. My grandma converted but during japanese occupation things were not as good as now. Support is better. We were marganilised cos amongst the malay muslims were not so welcoming. Alhamdulillah i had to search the pure islam without the influence of cultural n traditions ingrained in the malay society. It’s like swimming in a big ocean with great waves engulfing us. It’s a struggles.
It's not missing it's Muslims aren't doing correct Dawah.... Dawah isn't just having someone convert to Islam you give them a Quran and few pamphlets and move on... Dawah is about introducing Islam the person takes their shahada and the Muslim who gave them Dawah has to teach them every aspect of Islam until the converts knowledge exceeds the one who gave him/her Dawah...that is true Dawah. If I give Joe Dawah and Joe accepts Islam...I have to teach Joe everything I know after that Joe on his own.
