And then there's the story and the interactions with NPCs which already feels richer. I'm only about 20 hours into it, but I'm enjoying it more and more as I play.
Same here. I'm quiet amazed how Nintendo can pull of making a game so familiar yet so different, new and refreshing. I'm only about 10h in and the more I see the more I like. The only thing I wish we had a different solution for is the reuse of shrines. But it feels like they make more sense this time even as I have come to appreciate how they teach you about Zonai devices and the new abilities. Just gonna be annoying for replays. But that's the only thing bothering me
I like the game… but I find that its overall structure felt too similar to the first title… and the content is great… but a bit overwhelming that it can feel exhausting to play, especially with three layers of the map where two of them have practically nothing outside of a few optional shrines and maybe some loot. The game’s good… but a bit lackluster and a little disappointing as a “sequel”. Kinda like how God of War Ragnarok had a fantastic story… but felt a bit lackluster in terms of its gameplay.

"What other games have you ever seen be successful that has building other than Fornite? I'll tell you, nobody." The sheer audacity and stupidity of that statement is astounding. I could write an entire essay on that statement alone but I'll leave it at that for my own sanity.
Meanwhile I thought BoTW was good, but not AMAZING, and that is because the world felt empty. The roaming merchants, the NPC outposts, etc mixed with enemies patrolling has made this straight up a 10/10 in my eyes, they fixed what I didnt like, and I have LoZ ink, so you KNOW i enjoy it lmao.
I did not spend $70 on this game, because I spent $210. one copy for the wife, one copy for me, and one copy for my 8 year old. Absolutely love this game. My wife is actually farther than me, because she is addicted. Totally worth it!
Well, the game was leaked early, so he could have played it. FYI this game is dope, the sandbox is so unbelievably flexible with these new ability's insane. I'm playing it at 1440p with added FXAA, and it looks far better for it. Edit - Also it never drops below 30fps on my PC others can even lock it to 60fps (I can't though).
I can do it to around 80 FPS but need to hotkey to 30 FPS lock whenever there's a cutscene to stop it from going super speed.. So just playing on v1 switch for battery life, portability and no visual issues - I do miss juicy anti aliasing and Res from downscaling from 1440p+ to my native monitor res. Vs native switch. I have to agree, altho I beat botw, tears just seems so unique.. if magnesis is equivalent to ultrahand, stasis to recall, cryonis to ascend (kinda).. fuse simply offers much more creative freedom to be offensive in combat Vs the mundane ass bombs. Not to mention how totk's 3 abilities prior are subjectively much more fun and complex than botw i.e. different ways to go through ledges and ceilings and constant trial n error for a challenge Vs place block and run/glide/climb repeat etc.
Yeah but he claimed he has 100 hours in it which is impossible at the time he uploaded the video unless you are a reviewer who got a copy early which this guy isn't.

The game is different from Fortnite in many ways. Fortnite is a battle royale game that requires players to fight against each other until only one player remains. Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, on the other hand, is an adventure game that focuses on exploration and puzzle-solving. The game has a large open world that players can explore at their own pace. Players can interact with various characters and solve puzzles to progress through the game. Fortnite, on the other hand, is a battle royale game that requires players to fight against each other until only one player remains. The game has a large map where players can find weapons and resources to help them survive. Players must avoid being killed by other players while trying to be the last player standing."
Neckbeard manchilds seem to automatically hate TotK. Also, he likely illegally pirated the game. 6:58 also here’s proof he’s a troll, he probably didn’t play the game at all, and probably is just guessing through the trailers. If he had 100hrs in the game, he would know that the building mechanic is mostly optional and is not necessary to beat the game.
His inability to list any specific examples of what he doesn't like - beyond citing the general stuff we already know - tells me he likely didn't play the game, at the time. Buuuut, let's pretend he did. So he's mad about the game being like its predecessor, but with some fresh paint, and new stuff added... Like ummm, every sequel ever? Very senseless rant.
im not saying the guy played 100 hours of totk , howevcr it is possible that he played the game before launch , people on pc have been playing a leaked version for 2 weeks , i played it .
Press ZL to level an object if you want something “flat” automatically as opposed to like 45° angles. Also you’ll have a way less frustrating time lining things up if you position yourself *where* you wanna actually attach something, and *then* starting to rotate / align it (eg, attaching a wheel? Pick it up with ultrahand and walk to the side you’re putting it on so you’re facing it head-on, then stay planted & rotate as needed, fine tune position by side-stepping). A bit counterintuitive but hope this helps you a bit, because once you’ve got a handle on manipulating the objects it really does allow you to start thinking a lot more creatively about what you can put together.
Does he not understand that tears of the Kingdom takes place right after breath of the wild? Like damn it's like he just wants to complain because he knew he shouldn't have spent money on a game period especially preorders when your money is TIGHT

You could technically play the game a week before release on Yuzu. Not sure if that’s what this guy is talking about how he “played 100hrs before release” or not. Probably not.
I mean a lot of game companies do dumb down games because the casual players might not be used to game play mechanics. I mean Bethesda did come out and say that's a reason why skyrim's game mechanics were simple is because they wanted everybody that plays that game to be able to pick it up easily
Honestly, I think BOTW is one of, if not THE most overrated game of all time. TOTK is an obvious step-up, but it’s still nothing special at all. I don’t think it’s bad, but it’s not the best or anywhere near the best in any aspect. Not the best open-world, not the best Nintendo game, not the best Switch game, not even the best Zelda game. It’s just there. I would never pay $70 for it, I pirated it and I’m 100% okay with it lol. If this wasn’t a Zelda game, it would not be as successful and highly rated as it is, GUARANTEED. Edit: He probably pirated as well, I was playing over a week early. I also disagree with most of his points, they’re almost blatant trolling… but I do agree that TOTK is not worth $70.
Guess he has never played a sequel to a game before... The same assests were used in Majora's Mask, art style was the same... Yes different location... New Mechanic's
My money's tight but I don't regret buying totk whatsoever it has been an incredible experience I haven't been able to put it down. Also the same enemies? Really my guy there is so so so many new enemies in this that botw didn't even have.
Shit If he's even near a first grade math problem his head would explode If he's complaining about puzzles in the modern Zelda game being too hard. He has a more problems to worry about than that like learning the difference between a $1 bill and a $10 bill or learning one plus one equals two. That probably called them to have a brain aneurysm.
I'm an Xbox guy. But using my kid's switch for Zelda. I totally press the wrong buttons. The building is kinda annoying so far. I die so often. The amount of content is overwhelming. But I want to see what happens. Lol I might be getting old. Been playing Zelda since ocarina of time.
I used the new building mechanic to skip most of the puzzles and I used the 2nd stamina wheel to skip the rest. I’m exaggerating I didn’t skip all of the puzzles. Maybe 75% of the puzzles give or take? Lol
As far as educational games go I want a fun game that tricks you into learning science and engineering while also having a fun sandbox and or adventure story. Like kerbal space program. I count that as a educational game. It teaches rocket science. And rocket science is easier than what rocket scientists make it out to be. (Unless it just comes naturally to me. Lol)
Ever since God of War 2018 people have this strange conception that a sequel should just be completely different from the previous game. Nobody expects the next doom game to go from FPS to an RPS. Sequels are meant to take what the previous things of the last game did and add on to it, maybe improve on some things that the previous game struggled with
I’m probably going to get torn up for this, but aren’t most Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty games EXTREMELY similar? I haven’t played much of both, but from fist impressions, CoD’s multiplayer pretty much boils down to shoot people and level up to get better weapons. Assassin’s Creed is pretty much the basic open world format of get lots of collectibles and complete a linear story. Again, I haven’t played much of either franchise, so correct me if I’m wrong, but they’re all pretty much the same. TotK is extremely similar, but the similarities are really only just surface level, there are new mechanics, a chemistry engine, an amazing physics engine, a new story, a new quest structure, new recipes and ingredients, and the list goes on.
Correction: He COULD have played this early on pc, but I HIGHLY doubt he figured out how to do that since he referred to Link as Zelda.

Also the cost of optimizing such things is too high just to please the minority... Imho the only issue with the camera is the turn speed can be a bit slow but that is also tied to performance optimization...

why are you tryna get a good look at link though?

I almost died when he called Link Zelda.
The only way you could make that mistake is I'd you didn't play the damn game

ya I'm going to take any advice from a guy who is atleast 35 years old and can't afford to spend $70. I spend that a day on food.
Only a few seconds in and the guy says “they’re all the same enemies” …. There’s literally mostly new enemies in this game😭😭
In the starting area I wasn‘t too happy, I struggled withe the ultrahand and get on the things I build.
But now that I have nost of the toys and got of the starting area, I love it
It was worth every single cent 😂❤
I swear to god this is parody, I mean how can it not be
i had to stop the video when he started talking about GTA. holy crap and i thought i was cringe and a walking L
That is Crapgamer, and he said he loves Redfall, and is mad because Zelda got a 97; Wow.
Sounds like his trolling or is being a contrarion to get views at that point
Don’t feed the troll my dude. It’s so obvious. Why even react? Laugh at it and don’t take it seriously.
"What other games have you ever seen be successful that has building other than Fornite? I'll tell you, nobody."
The sheer audacity and stupidity of that statement is astounding.
How does no one understand that this is satirical. Its very funny!
You clearly don't understand people. There are people that goddamn idiotic
With the fact that in todays world the onion is becoming more real than actual news? you never know
It is obvious
I did not spend $70 on this game, because I spent $210. one copy for the wife, one copy for me, and one copy for my 8 year old. Absolutely love this game. My wife is actually farther than me, because she is addicted. Totally worth it!
Imagine a clear non-fan thinking he speaks for true Zelda fans.🤦
Harmen Smith had found a new challenger. Hell could be his long lost brother even
Why did this guy even buy this game if he didn’t like the first one? Like bruh it’s a sequel what did you expect?
At first I thought my closed captions was turned on. 🤣
@@teamofone1219 it was leaked over a week prior to release date but yeah, he’d have to be playing it like 15 hours a day to play 100 hours before his video
He has a point. How am i suppose to know if i put fire near wood, it spreads?! Im not a genius
The game was leaked over a week before official release, fully playable at 30fps/60fps on ryujinx emulator.
Seen a lot of people completing the game before release
Even Bing gets it:
"Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is a game that is part of the Legend of Zelda series. It is an adventure game that allows players to explore at their own pace.
10:39 subtitle got me like
"window switch"
"tinder switch"
"piano switch"
I've been playing the game for 3 days and it's a COMPLETELY different game than BOTW. That guy is a damn liar lol
The guy is delusional.
TotK obviously copied Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
His inability to list any specific examples of what he doesn't like - beyond citing the general stuff we already know - tells me he likely didn't play the game, at the time. Buuuut, let's pretend he did.
So he's mad about the game being like its predecessor, but with some fresh paint, and new stuff added...
Like ummm, every sequel ever? Very senseless rant.
When he called link "zelda", I already was wanting to slap some sense into him like super saiyan goku slapped frieza a bunch of times
"Now zelda is copying fortnite"
....after hearing that i have lost all braincells and the will to live.
im not saying the guy played 100 hours of totk , howevcr it is possible that he played the game before launch , people on pc have been playing a leaked version for 2 weeks , i played it .
True. Which makes me think is he lying about spending 70 dollars on the game for attention?
@@butteradult good question , thats probably what happened
I kinda feel his pain about the building. I find the rotating function incredibly frustrating.
Botw came out in 2017 and Fortnight came out in 2020 with the glider thing. And windwaker in 2002 which also let you glide
What about the Batman Arkham games?
-Doom
-Gears
-Mortal Kombat
-Devil May cry
-Any FromSoft
Are the only games I’d pre order on announcement
Does he not understand that tears of the Kingdom takes place right after breath of the wild? Like damn it's like he just wants to complain because he knew he shouldn't have spent money on a game period especially preorders when your money is TIGHT
OMFG 😂😂😂, this dude talks about playing a real grown up game, and at the same time acts like child. Every thing he just said made me loose some of my brain cells and question reality.
"there are no other games that are just like fortnite like building"
Hey my dude besiege crashtastic and kerbal space program would like a word with you
Also does homeboy realize that zelda games also have puzzles and the one complaint abou botw was the lack there of
You could technically play the game a week before release on Yuzu. Not sure if that’s what this guy is talking about how he “played 100hrs before release” or not. Probably not.
Not buying Redfall just save myself $70
sick? you & me both. my immune system chooses the right moments to become unstable
Well Klutzy you must have a field day with this guy.
Thank god that dude doesn't know gmod. His mind would melt.
Harmon Smith about to become insufferable lol😅
Oh, I’d genuinely love to see what Harmon has to say. He’d probably go after furries after that.
He’s gonna be so full of himself
Just say you emulate TOTK at a higher framerate and resolution and watch the inevitable meltdown he has

I'm an Xbox guy. But using my kid's switch for Zelda. I totally press the wrong buttons. The building is kinda annoying so far. I die so often. The amount of content is overwhelming. But I want to see what happens. Lol I might be getting old. Been playing Zelda since ocarina of time.
ok this guy has not played a zelda game because zelda is the princess and link is the hero
Lol)
Zelda used a glider back in 2003/04, when wind waker came out lmaoo Fortnite wasnt even a thought in the devs head
telling by the tone of his voice he is being serious
I thought the original video was satire, this person must not have a clue of what Zelda games are.
I just started to play BOTW on my PC and i love it. So much fun with 4K and 120fps 😊
How do you do that though ? I have a 4080 and couldn't get it to run properly...
@@badtothebone93 4090 helps. Drops to 70 in big fights. Cemu emulator and looked some optimization guides.
Ever since God of War 2018 people have this strange conception that a sequel should just be completely different from the previous game. Nobody expects the next doom game to go from FPS to an RPS. Sequels are meant to take what the previous things of the last game did and add on to it, maybe improve on some things that the previous game struggled with
_How to expose yourself_
1. Game has only been out for 48hrs
2. Say you've put in over 100hrs and it's trash 😂😂
*Exposed*
I’m probably going to get torn up for this, but aren’t most Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty games EXTREMELY similar? I haven’t played much of both, but from fist impressions, CoD’s multiplayer pretty much boils down to shoot people and level up to get better weapons. Assassin’s Creed is pretty much the basic open world format of get lots of collectibles and complete a linear story. Again, I haven’t played much of either franchise, so correct me if I’m wrong, but they’re all pretty much the same. TotK is extremely similar, but the similarities are really only just surface level, there are new mechanics, a chemistry engine, an amazing physics engine, a new story, a new quest structure, new recipes and ingredients, and the list goes on.
dude this video was too educational im not on youtube to be educated
Dude really went from Zelda to tic Tok to nobody wants him around.
