Maddy first time knowing of you, long time follower of Lucy her, Thanks for the react to the best singer out there today, Lucy is a pure technical singer she has skill and quality, and power and does not need all the vocal or set gymnastics to distract from her singing, she can flat out sing !!! Lucy was 16 when she recorded this song and has covered ALL the major big name divas of music and crushed them all. Some of her recent 60 recordings are EVERGREEN BRAND NEW DAY, an original she was asked to sing for a new un announced TV series theme song, GREATEST LOVE OF ALL, and MEMORIES, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, AT LAST. Lucy was on the UK's kids talent show when she was 13 sang MOON RIVER and re recorded it at 18 and was signed to a record deal at 14 by Cavendish Records and Chris Broom and Lucy are co producing a Musical to be put on in West London, ROSIE in which Lucy sings the leading role. she has released several dress rehearsal video's, BROKEN DREAMS at 18 and at 15 STARLIGHT SUDDENLY, GENTLE BREEZE. and a choir scene WE THANK YOU LORD. Lucy Thomas is God's gift of musical expression to humanity. She gathers the music to her and redefines it anew. Frankly, in my humble opinion the likes of her comes only once in a generation or so Lucy should be cherished and enjoyed for what she is, a true spirit of music
Thank you for a great reaction to dear sweet Lucy, who was 16 in this video! Indeed, she does have a beautiful, pure spirit, as beautiful in heart as she is stunning outwardly. She also has a younger sister Martha who has done several amazing duets with her, and has a wonderful voice as well. It's obvious that they have had a tremendously wholesome and well-rounded upbringing. Lucy is currently 19 and was born/raised in England. At 14, Chris Broom of Cavendish Records signed her to his record label. For the past four years, they have been co-writing, co-producing a musical play called "Rosie," based on the true story of Rosie Boote, a poor Irish girl who became one of the "Gaiety Girl" chorus singers in London at the turn of the 20th century and eventually married into English royalty. She died in 1957. The musical was put on hold a while due to the stupid Covid lockdown, but is due to finally open at the famous London West End Theater sometime in 2024. Lucy will be the star of the show and singing several of the show's originals (which I hope you'll also react to) written by Chris Broom.

When Lucy sings, she is like water, she becomes the song, she sings the song with all her heart and soul, she sings with clarity, smooth control, a beautiful softness, and breath control, she checks all the boxes. So Lucy 'be water my friend'.
One more Maddy, at the end of the bridge where she pushed all the power she brought us back down to earth with softness up to the end. She does that a lot. And sometimes those final are so pure, delicate, and warm that I get a very deep gut reaction at that cherry on top of the rendition. Her voice destroys me.

I'm so glad you encountered this. And I love your reactions. This was from 3 years ago when she was 16 and she's 19 now, the damn man for such an iconic song, she knocked it out of the park.
Check out something she did with her sister Martha who is about 6 years younger leading into the Christmas season just a couple months ago. It's a modern Christmas song from around 1990, which I had never heard before but man as sisters they absolutely kill it. And Lucy is just mind-blowing.

Hi first time here This is Lucy´s most viewed video it has over 60million views on RUclips It was selected for the movie on a wing and a prayer starring Dennis Quade .She was 16 when she sang this she is now 19 and even better. she has many more songs on her Channel" Lucy Thomas Music" both Covers of all the Divas and Originals. Lucy has been singing since she was 7 years old. She was a semi finalist on the Voice kids UK. Award winning song writer and owner of Cavendish records the label Lucy is under Chris Brom met Lucy when she was 13 He said she had the potential to become the greatest female vocalist of all times. After voice kids Chris offered Lucy a record contract She is still with Chris today ,Chris is writing a musical for Lucy to star in called "Rosie" which is due to open in London´s West end " next year. Hi ‘Maddy’ that was my Mother’s name. I am glad to see that you have found the Lucy Thomas and company rabbit hole. Lucy is now 19yrs old she was 16 when she recorded this song. She has a younger sister that is 5 years younger ‘Martha’ that has done 5 or 6 duets with Lucy. Lucy has recorded some 60 covers and original songs. Lucy is from the UK. Let me tell you her latest release it is a masterpiece. It is a cover of a Barbra Streisand song. From the movie ‘A Star Is Born’. (Evergreen). Barbra is an extremely talented person for sure. Maddy, you didn't mention her killer vibrato. At the end of each verse that vibrato trails of the last note and just keeps going and going and going. Also, another reactor (quite a while ago) said that some people sing a song and some perform it. Lucy performs this one.

Very nice reaction Maddy. There are a lot of great songs from Lucy to listen to over on her channel including some duets with her younger sister Martha who is also a very good singer. Can I suggest Eltasya Natasha from Indonesia performing a cover of 'The One That Got Away'. She is an amazing singer. She has more popular songs on RUclips but I like this one best and unlike some of the others it is live.

I don't mean to be too critical - she has a pleasant voice. With that said, her performance is not at all a standout from the dozens of other interpretations of this brilliant Leonard Cohen song. Frankly, it would be nearly impossible to surpass Cohen's live performance from his final tour! But if you require an alternate version I suggest you look to KD Lang. Hers is stunning...and not bland like Thomas'.
Please, listen to ..The Prayer ....with her 12 year bold sister Martha..You will be be stunned..
