I'm always proud to know I served in our country's military, and sometimes I forget how great we really are. A video like this reminds me how great my country really is and how proud I am of all my fellow active duty and veteran Sailors, Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Coasties.
Awesome. This is a very well done remake. I remember loving the original as a teen when it came out back in '86. Later, when I had little kids, I used to play the video for them on a regular basis and they would all dance around the living room. To this day my four adult children refer to this as "The Airplane Song."
F-18 my husband favorite Navy and Marine Corps plane. They will be missed. My husband served in the U.S Marines and was able to see the Blue Angels a few times. Yes this song will always be apart of the Blue Angels. God Bless all that serve.
Absolutely Love this, Plus my Dad was a "Blue", he was with the Maintenace crew, he was in charge of making sure these planes stayed in the air & ran correctly. That was the late 50's- 60's. He still says That was the Best Time in his Life!! My brother & I were Blessed to see them perform & get together for reunions! So Proud of Him!!

Best video of the Blues I've seen in a long time, if not ever. Especially with them in the Super Hornets. The slow motion and vapor add so much. Always loved the original but this is definitely an improvement. Navy vet here.

Rad! My grandfather was in the Navy from WW2 through Korea. He was stationed near the Blue Angels base. My grandma said she had great memories of watching the Blue Angels practice back in like 1948. She couldn't remember what planes they flew back them.

Eagles Fly is what gets me going, the video featuring the F-15 and the ground/flight crews here on YT, reminds me of my time spent in the USAF crewing jets, an experience I am glad I did and do not regret.

Enjoyed this, thanks! Though I love the Super Hornet, and it's beautiful here, count me as one who thinks the A4 version is still the best. Can't put a finger on it with certainty, but I think part of it is that the short/stubby A4 airframe looks better in close formations and interactions in this role than the long/skinny Hornet and Super Hornet. But I have to say- that formation break starting at 3:43 may just be the most breathtaking thing I've ever seen any aircraft or demo team do. I thought so when I watched the original film, and seeing it here just confirms it.

Great video! This NEVER gets old! The promotions person that came up w/ the idea of using Dreams in the 50th Anniversary salute and subsequently making it the Blue Angels unofficial theme song was a stroke of absolute marketing genius! For anyone who hasn't seen the latest documentary on Amazon Prime it's well worth the time! Excellently produced and I'm just sorry I didn't get a chance to see it in an IMAX theater. Still a treat on a HD / 4K tv though. Oddly enough they don't use this song in the movie? Not sure if it was b/c they couldn't get the rights or they just wanted to produce something completely new, but it's a great watch regardless!

Saw the Blue Angels in Sanford FL this past April ...absolutely amazing show and so much pride welled up in me. The AF solo F-35 demo was pretty impressive as well.
people can try to talk sh!t about this all they want, but I have been a life long Van Halen fan. My father served in the NAVY. Having an updated version of this iconic song's video is an amazing thing and the cinematography from the iMax cameras is incredible. only now do we have the ability with the visuals to match what the original video gave people. I'd just hope the members of the band get to see this at some point. I think they'd love it.
The original Blue Angels video of Dreams was, by far, my favorite video growing up. I've seen remakes with more current aircraft, but they all seemed to be missing something intangible. They just didn't feel "right." That being said, this video is AWESOME! Watching it, I felt just like I did when I was a kid watching the original. Big ups and a huge Thank You to whoever created and edited this video. It was an absolute joy to watch!
You're very welcome. This clip feels right because it's an actual attempt at a music video as opposed to just laying down longform airshow footage over the song, which previous others have done. This song is an old favourite of mine and lives in my veins. The footage was sequenced purposely to match the feels.

My uncle lives in calf he use to designs flight patterns for the blue angels he’s retired now but those pilots are all over his house on the walls and signed but as much as he respects their ability they also put their life’s in his hands when they fly those shows,, but always liked looking at those pics and the admiration they had for eachother!!!! The jets are getting insane now,,.
Luv this video, very patriotic, God bless these young men, don't know how they do it but it's a good feeling knowing these flyboys are around just in case.
