The fashion industry really has become the nepotism kids' playground where they get even richer and more famous and no hate cuz I'd probably do the same.
Most, if not all people would use nepotism if they had access to it. And that’s just a fact

Everyone is so focused on the fact Lila has a famous parent but can we celebrate the fact there is a diabetic model rocking her insulin pump on the runway. Do you know how many young people who have Type 1 diabetes will feel so included in mainstream media because someone is talking about Type 1 diabetes, celebrating the LIFE SAVING equipment and not hiding it?

You’re totally right, it’ll go over a lot of peoples heads but representation like this does matter. I love that she’s so open about it but also treats it as if it’s a normal thing that’s just part of her life. It can be hard but small things like this remind people they aren’t going through it alone.
Yes she probably is making some headway in the area of inclusion - but shouldn’t she still be model material ? I’m sure there are tall, beautiful, type 1 diabetics out there who rock the catwalk

@@mummamdb I don’t personally know anyone, but there are many as yet undiscovered models, perhaps some of them are diabetic. My point is, although Lila is very sweet and it’s great the way she is open about her condition, her success as a model is obviously down to whose daughter she is.
I like that she mentioned diabeties! My 14 year old daughter is recently diagnosed and its nice to her how other people cope!

Lila has type 1 which was extremely rare until recently; its still rare but more have it now.

I’ve been type 1 for over 20 years and I know THREE others.
The point is that no one cares about type 1. Diabetes is an endless joke to so many. And Lila being a model and openly showing her pump and not hiding it, opens conversations to be had around this disease.
When this went viral I had so many people I work with ask me about what I go through. They never cared before.
@@melanie7068 thank you for your condescension! Yes I know plenty of type 1 diabetics because of the work I do. Representation is important, but it should not substitute qualification. Lila being diabetic doesn’t make her any more qualified to be a world class fashion model. That’s like saying, hey we need this physician to be the medical director of surgery because he suffers from diabetes and diabetics need more representation and advancement in the field. No! We first and foremost need the most qualified candidates for their jobs. Qualification comes first or else you will have shoddy surgeons or models. Identity does not substitute qualification in any field!

see my problem with nepotism is that people can get away with being less than mediocre just because of their name, when lilas mom herself is an amazing model and she has access and money to have the best training she could possibly have, so she doesn’t have an excuse to be bad. no non-nepotism actor would have people saying “their walk will get better” because they wouldn’t have gotten any jobs in the first place.

I actually don't see anything wrong when a kid of famous parents gets job easier (obviously because of connections) IF the kid has real talent, charisma etc. Lila, no matter how sweet and nice, has nothing interesting. Her face, no charisma, even voice and the way she talks...Not even close to her mother.

I agree that the nepotism in the entertainment and fashion industry is beyond ridiculous but Lila is a lovely young woman with really good features. I can see her making it on her own as a model even if she wasn't Kate Moss' daughter.
I think it is crazy that she has a vogue cover but isn't very well known. She hasn't been in any fashion shows or been around much but all of a sudden he has a vogue cover. There are models out there who have been working for a long time hoping to reach a high level in their careers and they will never get there because of nepotism. Just sad.

She seems like a really sweet person, and her bag is lovely. I appreciate that she used this video to highlight her medical equipment and things she uses to keep track of it. So many of these can feel like ads, so I'm glad that she kept things grounded and didn't try to hide this common struggle she herself lives with.

At least with many children of famous actors who join that industry, they can prove themselves as worthy through their abilities, like Maude Apatow in Euphoria. This girl seems perfectly nice but under no circumstance would have ever booked a single one of the jobs she has already done without her mother.
Maude definitely isn't as talented (yet) as Sydney Sweeney tho...that girl had no connections in the industry but still made it and outshone everyone in the second season of Euphoria. Same for Jacob, I think he also comes from a non-industry background and he did very well here, his best work till date. Z is a child actor so obviously she's more polished, she did so good too. Hunter did amazing for a first time actor (abd director!!)...Alexa was average in terms of acting but she is very charismatic so she made that work very well for her...so if we're talking about Maude, she hasn't proved anything here lol. She's good but was definitely outshone by others (with the exception of Kat probably)
Ok but tbh Maude has been acting since she was little.. Lila has only recently started modelling. Also kids like willow and Jaden smith have been in the limelight since they were babies but Lilas only just making her ‘debut’

What do you worship the rich no matter what and take whatever they throw at you? This is a clear example of how greedy and rigged the system is. Probably why most grandkids of wealthy families end up loosing all their wealth. It’s never a good thing to spoil your kids. They already had an advantage growing up in a wealthy environment and getting the best education, the parents should of told them to make their own paths like most families so the kids can learn and experience life. They just end up raising spoiled entitled clueless weak generation who will have low self esteem because they know they got handed everything by their parents.

I do have too much time on my hands so am interested in what they carry in their bags or pretend to, there are actresses doing these vids that pretend to carry red peppers in their bags, not funny. I can forgive someone as young as Lila for carrying crystals but over 30 and …..I don’t envy any of them. I look out for flashes of authenticity and these are very rare.

There are lots of beautiful models out there from all over the world who have been working so hard for a very long time hoping to reach a high level in their modeling careers but we all know they will never get there because of these people who have famous surnames like Moss, Gerber, Jenner .. etc ..
