Really don't understand why board games are unpopular among computer game developers. there are so many mechanics that could work even better on a computer. This is a treasure trove of replay value. computer games are divided mainly into games with a plot, which are played once or twice, and online games (dota etc., shooters, survival, that's all). There's a lot more variety in board games

thats is a hard, kind of ignorant, oversimplification, like saying board games are divided into card games and dice games only. Or into family games and expert games, there are many different types of genres of videogames.
Also there is a market for digital board games and it is used by some companies BUT the market for regular video games is much higher, because just making a digital board game also comes with a lot of limitations that regular video games dont have. @@Tanja-k1x
