Wrong step in the video. To avoid any accidentally power on the phone, you should install all i/o flat cable first. The last step should be to connect battery power cable.

dont do that. You can damage battery, unlikely but possible, in my case could be unavoidable since my battery was already ripped a bit... scary crap. You want to remove the board near those 2 pull tabs, take them out and put them on small screwdriver and then start rotating winding those pull tabs on screwdriver. Or you can pull but you have to pull inline with how those adhesive strips lay down, when you wind them on screwdriver the battery will release on itself, no need for prying at all.
also, when installing adhesive strips put yhem a bit out so you can wrap them around the battery like in original, it will make removal of the battery later on easier.
well, while its not completely hassle freee changing battery in this phone is 10 million times easier than with samsung or iphone flagship. still better than most lol
its glued down, if you start pulling on battery you are going to damage something. I wonder why xiaomi make the battery glued, there is more than enought space there to make it removable battery
