The first farm house ever on this land is coming along...we've got paint and flooring scheduled and as soon as that's done, we'll do another tour. If you missed the last update/tour of the interior, you can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/-42oN9Gx0DE/видео.html
im thinking of getting into this as a buisness. i worked over 4000 hours during Katrina in a skid loader. lots of work in high dessert Arizona. thanks to you and all your video!
Nice progress! I like the resourcefulness of using what you have instead of spending more money on straw. The grade work looks perfect. I’m excited to see it with fresh grass growing! 👍
One year we covered 2 sides of the pond with hay cut from the pasture....had it piled so high on the tractor bucket it came halfway down the hood! Thanks for watching, Lucas.
I really enjoy your content, and very glad you have your parents live, my youngest sister live in Tampa, very close from you, have a nice week, regards from Monterrey Mexico, Luis.
Nice work on that grade, Brad. That red dirt reminded me of the dirt in HI. Man was that stuff hard staining on the TA-50 gear! Simple green is good for removing it though.
We were trying to avoid gutters....we put in drains with pop ups, but we're still eroding a bit. Looks like we going to have to install gutters anyway. Here is what we tried: ruclips.net/video/04jwDSxBo2w/видео.html
I've watched a few of your grading videos and am impressed. I was wondering if its worth doing it myself or hiring someone. I don't have much experience so by any chance did you do this professionally at one point? Thanks
100% do it yourself! I grew up on a farm so I've got a lot of seat time in a tractor but this is not rocket science. If you have trouble establishing a grade, get a long straight 2x4 and a level and just go slow and check your work. It's just dirt or gravel, if you mess it up, you just push it around some more until it's right! Good luck! Here's another grading video: ruclips.net/video/ukDdhCxLVzE/видео.html
It is a bit overwhelming, isn't it Brad? A ton of dirt or rock just doesn't seem top go anywhere. I have been hauling rock down into my pasture to fix a ditch crossing that has had severe washout. We will see if what I have done will hold. Calling for rain tomorrow night and into Wednesday. Those tippy moments keep you frosty
This job wasn't so bad and monotonous, but moving dirt from the pond to the pole barn was mind numbing!! Back and forth; back and forth! Thanks for watching, Gary. B&D
@@PineyGroveHomestead , I used to work underground in a sand mine on the Mississippi River. My job was to haul the sand from piles that had been blasted up the long, steep haul road to dump in the grizzly for processing. The haul trucks were 16 ft. wide, 14 ft tall, 28 ft long and weighed 136,000 lbs. empty. We would haul 70 tons at a time. The tires were 8 ft tall and it was pretty intimidating to be next to one of these behemoths. The shift lasted 12 hrs and since we were underground, no radio reception. Just the noise of that massive Detroit engine. That deafening noise that would just wear you down.

There are people that follow hurricanes in Florida and clean up the debris after. Thanks for watching.
You are absolutely the BEST at using your tractor! I don't watch anyone else use it only you! Love your grading and attention to detail! Rewatched!
That was some nice clean dirt to spread!
You did a great job with the tractor. Your place looks great!
Thanks Tony. Every weekend we get a little closer to the vision! Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb

Thank you for watching, Luis! My grandparents used to winter in Puerta Vallarta in the 80s.
Rewatched! Love watching and hearinf you explain about grading!
I like to grade but that doesn't mean I'm good at it!
Liked and Subscribed... You do a great job grading with the tractor!

It's splashing up on the house a little. We need to get that off before it stains, if it's not too late already! Thanks for watching, David. B&D
@@PineyGroveHomestead Simple Green works well

@@PineyGroveHomestead Can't wait to see and comment further.... I also love your attention to details and your wife's passion to explain and help out!
So leave the ROPS up
Is it normal to not have guttering on homes in Florida? This would mitigate all risk of soil erosion from rainfall.

At 1:40 you talk about safety. Friend, please put your ROPS up. Where is the top half of your ROPS?
It was off for mowing around trees, but it's back on now.
