Tachometer doesn't measure speed, dude. You can have max revs on it, but your speed can be 0.

ταχος (tachos - „speed“) and μετρειν (metrein - „measure“) is used to measure speed. In my country we use to call speedometer as tachometer and for tachometer we are using something like "revolutionmeter". So, you are right and I just followed my native naming convention.
