I wish Kate would have expanded more about rejection, as I feel a lot of people would benefit from knowing the mindset and perspective of overcoming rejection. How she’s able to remain positive and maintain a healthy self-image? For me, the most impactful speech to overcome rejection was by Deshauna Barber. Basically she said, Do not fear failure; but, please be terrified of regret...You will have a hundred moments that will be filled with someone telling you NO...and we will fail a lot; and I mean a whole lot. But; what I ask of you today...Don’t be afraid of no’s. Be afraid of the possibility of a yes that you prematurely destroyed because you decided to quit...
