The three stocks is to compensate for the fact its difficult to comeback, and gives the loser more time to do so.

It has nothing to do with other games having different movement options, the game speed in Brawl is Smash 64 slow but without the crazy ass combos and tech that actually helps games go faster. No it's -_- Brawl Melee 64 4 all have the same fps 25. Of course with wave dash that is when it is different. But just defult mechanics that is it.
