Actually G.O.D was the reason why IU auditioned for JYP because her idols where there but then she got rejected.

the group name god is pronounce in g.o.d (alphabet). and their fandom name is just 'fan g.o.d' shorten in 'fan G (팬지)' so they keep saying 지오디, 팬지

The guy you were wondering was half Korean half American is Joon Park and he's Korean American. He used to do a RUclips channel called WassupMan and now he's currently doing a YT show called XYOB together with a fellow 1st gen and Korean American Brian Joo.
JYP was basically their producer/composer/singing teacher/mentor when they debuted under what is now SidusHQ (they later moved to JYPE). That's why whenever people talk about "JYP family", god is always mentioned as the OG.
