So, It's based on a documentary called "Dreams of a Life," about a 38 year old woman who died in her north London flat, and her body wasn't found until 3 years later. She had been a beautiful, talented, and popular person, an aspiring singer with 4 older sisters. But for some reason she had lost touch with her friends and family, and in the years she lay dead in her home, no one thought to check up on her.
So People thought the smell came from the trash bins outside her window. No one has really explained why nobody showed up to collect the rent or turn off the electricity. Her TV was still on when her body was found.
