Mevagissey, a typical Cornish village like Fowey with narrow streets but at least you can drive through unlike Polperro where there is no way through only the harbour.
Was in Meva the other week getting our fresh fish. Walk these streets and the harbour, it’s only up the road from me. Coastal towns here are beautiful.
Diefers Dashcam UK I hope not, I tried taking the family there last year but unfortunately the heavens opened up so we abandoned it. Many happy memories visiting there with my parents, I'd like to keep up the tradition with my own brood.
Thank you, yeah it's a V8 beast haha. I decided to put music over the video as I had the AC blowing and that's all you could hear. I usually have the windows open as you can hear the burble of the V8 resonate around the tiny streets :D
I have a V8 Chevy pick up i dont think it would fit down half of those roads But lets face it old town Mevagissey wasnt really intended for cars Nor was most of Cornwall's fishing villages come to that
You should have tried driving it today: wall to wall dead-head and overweight pedestrians blocking all the streets. Aargh, when summer comes, I hate it.
It was bloody busy today with Grockles! Dead heads with bloody dogs too! Which is why I usually only come down out of season. I almost moved here a few years ago but it's the bloody tourists that do my head in!!!
Diefers, hello, I had to do Looe; Polperro; and then Mevagissy, all in one day, before needing a lie-down dark room afterwards.- thank goodness St Ives was missing from the schedule (my neighbour reported that it was 'full').Oh well, roll on next winter and the new rugby season, when everyone you get to meet is 'proper Cornish' and does not have a 50" waist.
Oh boy, I'm guessing you're a delivery driver then? Van or truck?! Like I said, I nearly moved down here a few years ago when my aunt offered to put me up in Gorran. Was going to drive for the clay pits but, it's just the summer season that put me off :/ I thought driving in London (for 11 years) was bad lol
Dief, hello again, We buy and sell antiques, so do a 'run' to different areas each month - the old folks are dying out so need to clear their treasures, and because television has given such a false impression of how the Trade really works they prefer to deal with us - as the real 'experts'. Better prices, instant cash, and no commission to pay.
Nice video. Question. Why did you spoil it with 6m minutes and 3 seconds of mind numbingly stupid 'music', and I use the term music in its broadest possible sense.
My favourite holiday destination! Thanks for bringing back happy memories.
Been there done that , beautiful place . Cornwall -steep narrow roads ! Park car , sit down, raise glass, enjoy view, relax !
Redefines the meaning of Traffic Jam : Two Cars and a Dog : and the Dog absolutely refuses to move.
lovely video, we were there this July, beautiful place
Imagine a truck driving there
Keep imagining! haha because you never will. Tiniest minibuses are only allowed a certain way round!
@@Dieferdan Lorry’s have got stuck in the streets though. Satnav has taken them there.

Lovely part of the UK . great caravan site up the road in pentewan too . love it down in Cornwall 😍
Looks like it was a nice ralaxing drive. Roads are to narrow for my liking, but hey, I'm from Canada...lol
That was a wonderful/beautiful drive. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you :D

Lovely drive and fab choice of music......as always x
Thank you :D
Wonderful drive! 😊
It's a beautiful village, just not designed for cars
Narrow streets, I wonder how a fire engine would get through, but is a through route unlike Polperro.
It's been years since I've been there, lovely place.
Probably hasn't changed much!
Diefers Dashcam UK I hope not, I tried taking the family there last year but unfortunately the heavens opened up so we abandoned it.

Thanks, 10 mins from where I live. Not looking forward to the mass of people when lockdown eases.
Thanks for sharing. What vehicle is that your driving?
P38 Range Rover.... A tank for those streets!!!!!
Oh right thanks, yeah that's why I asked 😂
Its a beast 🔥

Don't think I've ever seen it that quiet !!
Need to come down in Winter! Totally different place ;)
Looks like it would be a nightmare for shit drivers.
It's a nightmare for competent drivers.....and locals
I imagine noisy cars must make a lot of noise in these narrow streets.
Especially the V8 Range Rover that the camera guy is driving!

Hello again, I had a call today on East Cliff Road in Looe (go Google it) - you would never, ever, get up there in your wagon!

Isn't it obvious? It's because he had to put something over that lovely V8 Range Rover engine burble!
