  • Know more about HART communicator . This video will cover the basics of instrumentation such as what is the importance of HART communication , use of 250 ohm resistance for HART communication . The main reason to use 250 ohm resistance for HART communication is to develop enough voltage in the loop to be able to read the digital data being sent & received.
    Check our latest videos related to HART communication , level calibration , flow calibration procedures , rtd wire connections and much more .

    I have a Rosemount Temperature Transmitter and I need to apply above 20.5 mA to check the Over-range alarm setting however I am not able to sent above 20.5 mA through HART as the Transmitter is not accepting the mA above 20.5 mA. Could you please suggest any options to check the Over range alarm

    if a temp. Transmitter nameplate marked as -50 degree c~450 degree c, is it possible to rerange it as 0 degree~600 degree?

    • @InstrumentCalibration
      @InstrumentCalibration  Год назад +1

      Hello
      Thanks for your question.
      No, It is not possible to calibrate beyond name plate range. You need to calibrate TT in -50 degree C to -450 degree celsius.

    For HART communication aint the 250ohm resistor supposed to be between the HART communicator and power supply to enable communication?

    • @InstrumentCalibration
      @InstrumentCalibration  Год назад

      @Makhosi Yes.. Ideally, it should be between power supply & HART Communicator

    Sir if RTD has only 4 -20ma signal but doesn't have hart terminal its possible to calibrate using hart communicator or not thank you.

    • @InstrumentCalibration
      @InstrumentCalibration  Год назад

      @Nelson No, It is not possible to calibrate the device if does not have HART feature.

    • @InstrumentCalibration
      @InstrumentCalibration  Год назад

      If device does not have HART, then it need to be calibrate by using Analog Zero & Span button of transmitter

      No. first you check transmitter mounting plat. Then you check it's 2 wire, 3 wire, 4 wire wire duel sensor. They mention in mounting plate. Then only you set 2,3,4 wire RTD.
