Didnt actually show the process of creating tokens, just managing a token that was already created. Off to look for a video to show me how to make tokens for NPCs.
GIMP, Paint.NET and PicMonkey are great free image editing software to make your tokens with. If you want transparency on your tokens, remember to save the images to PNGs.
HornetVF103 It's right here. www.online-image-editor.com/ Put the image you want to use into the uploader and the transparency tool is in the wizards tab.
The blue circle isn't a thing roll20 adds, if you look on the right it's already part of image. If you want a blue circle with your own pictures you would need to use GIMP or Photoshop to add that in yourself
*Applause* very organized, professional and systematic. Wish I had seen these videos first when I started working on my first R20 game.

Rather than buy tokens, how can I create my own tokens from images?
+HornetVF103 Yes. May the MS paint be with you. (I personally know a place that turns backgrounds transparent if you still need that).
Sure. Where can I find.

Thumbs down because it didn't show me how to make the token with the blue circle. Just how to add a picture to the game

Is it possible to hide a token from players so they can't see it? Like an enemy who is invisible?
Yes. Move the token to the GM Layer.
+Endosymbiosis put it on the gm layer or under fog of war
