The most common is is this if its in a rifle they will call it a magazine and if it's a mag fed pistol they will call it a clip... They think semi auto pistols run from a clip and ARs and the like run from mags. Why i dont know but out of the couple thousand people my husband and I have trained over the years that is the common misconception is that or that Mags and clips are the same thing as i said above Another common misconception that is a funny one is that people think recoil/muzzle climb when shooting quickly is like in COD... If you really want to see ignorant... Do firearm instruction and if you want to see ignorant morons be a tactical firearms instructor... Hubby and I hand select whom we teach and turn down a lot of people because we can't deal with the total morons making it not worth our time to train them. We normally deal with private security contractors that deal in anti terrorist and people moving over seas and the like... We have also did training to SWAT depts ....
