Flora being Latina wasn't just a head canon. It's because Winx Club did that thing where they "modeled" characters off of real-life people (often from different ethinc backgrounds), and her inspiration was Jennifer Lopez. But honestly, we Brown people are used to having to "share" characters because of the lack of representation. I remember when Jasmine was every single Brown girl's princess because she was the only brown one.
I'll be honest here. I don't like some of the outfits for the reboot. I don't think all the girls need pink on their outfits and some just plain don't fit the characters. However, I am excited for it none the less. And I REALLY hope they bring back Roxy some point in the show and not toss her aside again. I loved her so much and she was done dirty =^..^=
I agree with the outfits, but they did redesign Flora, Tecna, and Aisha's. I'm not a fan of Roxy, though; her color palette reminds me of Tecna's, and the Wizards have a similar end goal to the Trix.
What I love so much about Flora is that she's not the Spicy Latina™️ everybody and their mother were doing and still do to this day. Flora is kind, sweet and caring but that doesn't mean she's a doormat, if you dare to cross her friends you are dead meat. As a latina who's not hopping from club to club until 5 a.m (there's nothing wrong with that, but some ppl think we are all like that) I appreciate Flora for being the way she is. Also Helia is cute af, they are meant to be 💖
The sad part: A LOT of people didn't know Flora was Latina. Some people I knew thought she was South Asian or black (which she could be, but that wasn't the race they were going for, I think). And since Helia is from the same world, I'd guess he was also Latino.

@@luzcalderon7808 A lot of people don't know BTS stuff like that. And I personally thought yhat Helia was Asian when I was younger (perhaps how they drew his eyes), and if you wanted to keep with the Spanish influence, he could be Filipino. But Latino also works.
In my opinion, AI being used to help conceptualized scenes or charcaters and get the idea going is what it was MEANT to do for artist. Before the 'Ai Artist(thief)' start to use it to hurt artists, I remembered how excited my art community and I were. We were so hyped about the new ideas AI can give us and we then use that to help out with our concepts. We do all the work ourselves but with AI we can get all the bad ideas out of the way without needing to draw 10 thumbnails before hand.
Can't help but laugh at the pic she showed when talking about the AI accusations, though. I know the artstyle doesn't mean anything about the final character design and the concept's just a guide...but it looks like this mf just dropped from Arcane. With absolutely no context whatsoever for who he is other than "Winx Club", the juxtaposition just killed me.
Fun fact : For some reason my brain tricked me into thinking Helia and Flora are the type of best friends everyone mistake as a couple and they never bother correcting it. And I knew it couldn't be what the canon relationship is like but my memories are so vivid I would have sworn it was true.
This! And also back in the og series, I always thought if Flora HAD to have a love interest, I thought Flora and Riven would make more sense as a couple (opposite attracf is my biggest weakest, lol), and Helia could've end up with Musa.
I think it’s really sweet that even though Flora is frequently memed on as being useless or a punching bag for all her wasted potential and yet she’s still one of the most beloved characters of the franchise
31:25 You know what could've been interesting? Making Helia the ONLY love interest that isn't a fighter. Won't that be an interesting arc for him? Not only that, but think of it as Flora and Helia trying to balance their time for school and their time for each other since they won't see each other as often compared to the Specialists. I don't know where is Helia's art school located, but I'm assuming it's kind of far? So while the two can have time to develop as characters individually, they can have struggles being in a long distance relationship. More time for growth for themselves AND as a couple
It could also be fresh to see a couple being more mature about arguments, showcasing to young girls that you don't need yelling or pointing fingers or anything like that to deal with disagreements.
Do you think you could do Aisha/Layla? She had so much potential in being a mermaid/fairy hybrid, and how she’s a parallel to Bloom, but the story kept having Bloom save her kingdom when Aisha should save her own kingdom, and with all the trauma she went through, such as Darkar torturing her and her having to adjust to life after that, being the savior of pixies, the struggles of an arranged marriage, losing Nabu and almost losing herself, her world being taken over by Valtor and then Tritannus, the way that she wielded the Sword of Neptune which hints at her being their rightful heir to both the undersea kingdom and the kingdom on land never being talked about, how Sirenix should have focused on her, but Bloom, and how Bloom and her are equal in power and how she taught so much to the Winx, about conserving transformations and depths of magic and they helped by being true friends to her, when she was isolated a lot as a child. She had a lot of potential and she was pushed aside for Bloom in scenarios where it would make sense to have her be the focus, similar to what they did with Flora. I adored Aisha’s unique friendship with each of the Winx. If you can’t, I totally understand! I loved this video, can’t wait to rewatch it!

honestly i felt the same, that comment she made about head canoning Flora as south Asian simply cause she was smart was really rude.. She can head canon whatever she wants if its not official but just cause she's an all A student? Idk if she intended for it to be, but i feel like it was very tone deaf. All latina characters dont have to be "spicy." Every race is allowed to just be a person, regardless of whether it aligns with popular stereotypes. It doesn't have to be palatable or exciting as they'd like it. She can be shy and smart just like anyone else. This is my first video from this youtuber and she seems a bit out of touch with some things, or at least not very critical of her wording or opinions. I'm glad im seeing comments on this because that stuck out to me as soon as she said it.

She said it was because her eye shape is the same as Musa's, and the "honor student" stereotype is just a bonus as to why she always thought she was meant to be Asian. And as when she watched the show she herself was a South Asian young girl, it's easy to see why she would read those cues as she did. Interpreting that as a slight against latinas is honestly a bad faith take.
Musa had her voice taken away and became mute. One of the great changes in the reboot cast is that all of the girls had diverse heights! Musa's the shortest and Aisha's the tallest!
She really was hard sidelined for other characters. She was my favourite as well (mostly because she technically looked the most like me and I like pink). I wish they gave her a story to work with.
one way to look at the "busy" design for Stella is Stella is the fashion star shes never not been over the top so go over the top all you want! And with flora being more simple suits her natural nature her power is the most natural
also I think Flora's strength(being the 2nd strongest) its also her greatest weakness as its been revealed that harming nature hurts her greatly(wither it be she actually feels the pain of trees being cut or if its the fact the voice's of nature screaming becomes overwhelmingly painful that it hurts her) she's the only one we have rarely seen be affected by what she is the fairy of
I LOVED Flora and Helia so much! I feel like we should've just gotten some nice domestic specials after the lost kingdom showing the different couples now that there was *finally* some freetime in store for them and let that be it. Just six short episodes showing the winx relaxing with their boyfriends ie. Bloom & Sky having dinner together giggling and talking, Flora entertaining animals using her powers while Helia draws etc. I think you get the point!
Also, it's not just diversity, but... like, imagine a girl who can control pretty much any natural process being a tad bit more aggressive. She would be a MENACE, even more than Bloom for a while - bc Flora grew up in world full of magic and she knows what she does Also I think her relationships with Helia was kinda cute - tho they really did wasted their characters at both sides: they could do better with how she fell for Helia, e.g. making it more of a slowburn (yea for me their ship was cute but felt a bit too hurried) or even add flavor of "friends to lovers" trope, and not enroll him back to Red Fountain with very, VERY little explanation Also: gaining confidence with help of Helia could be made into a stepping stone to her finding that confidence herself - bc it's kinda easier finding something in yourself when you have close support (since for obvious reasons her family bonds are distanced) then just by yourself. Luke "yes, my family-friends-boyfriend see that in me, I probably should look in myself more properly" and kinda that could be a helping push to full self-confidence (sorry if explained that part poorly)

Dang now I really want to see seasonal variants to flora's costume I noticed, her crown is obviously a flower crown but what if that changes depending on the season? For example her spring crown could be cherry blossoms, daffodils and daisies the like and of course pink roses, here her crown would be full blossom all flowers her summer crown could flowers like zinnias, marigolds and maybe even hibiscus and I think that one would be more viney than floral I think an autumn crown could incorporate some autumn leaves similar to the laurel you gave Bloom and autumn roses (they have warmer colors) and have more twigs that look like curling branches Winter I'm not too sure but maybe her crown could have small fluffy like flowers like periwinkles It'd be really cool to see the hue of her dress change as well Fully pink in spring and summer (maybe more pastel in spring) Autumn could be a more red hue And winter would have muted shades of rose gold all still pink of course just different shades I also think it'd be cute if the roses on her dress in summer grow into maybe strawberries or just some kind of fruit (it reminds me of the strawberry dress and Flora would absolutely slay that look) Final note, I think in winter it'd be cool to see some frosty fluff on the edge of her wings like in secret of the fairy wings when the fairies use light frost to protect their wings
Tbh, they could've handled Flora and Helia better if the series adapted their official comic counterparts into the animated show. Cause they had way more chemistry. And they gave Helia some much needed depth. For example, unlike in the TV show. Comic Helia was confirmed to be from Lymphea and was actually Flora's childhood friend. And we see them actually bonding in a comic arc.
I actually really like Helia, but I do agree that he just became another one of the specialist, which made him redundant. So here is my suggestion how to fix that, instead of rejoining Redfountain he would enroll in Alphea. It would still make him part of the main team, but without compromising his pacifistic principles.
The reason that I love Flora so much is because I was Rosetta girly. Now my opinion on the romance part is that Musa or Layla (Aisha if you didn't know) didn't have a love interest. I don't know what it was, but they didn't seem like the type to have/want a lover. I love both Riven and Nabu I just don't think those two were the type for lovers. Now if there is a chance to throw away one of the boys hands down Skye. He is truly useless and if he was gone then we would get more about the other characters (in theory) Sorry for that rant about random things about winx those are somethings I feel about winx mainly
Skyes only real reason was 1 to be the fairytale Prince for bloom, and 2 as a bait and switch for Brandon's story. That is they were Prince and the paupering when bloom and Stella got involved with them, and I do think it says a lot about Stella that she still chose Brandon when she comes across very shallow. But yeah Skye himself: boring, basic, kind of not a good person either given the arranged marriage situation...
I remember as a kid I did not like flora, and it was for the silliest reason. It was because in media all the other girls had *epic* powers and then boom girl with brown hair has earth and flower powers AGAIN. And as a brown hair brown eye girl who thought that my appearance was boring and found nature powers boring, I took it out on flora. Now I love nature powers because they're really cool and so is flora
Tecna and Flora were my favorite characters in Winx club! Flora because I love how pretty and graceful she looked and her voice was so soothing. Tecna was a favorite of mine because I loved how sassy and stubborn she was in the first few seasons

Honestly I LOVE all the Legendarix designs and the whole sash connection things makes me think that Daphne had achieved Legendarix before she died and it would explain why she was a Nymph instead of just a fairy and i honestly love that
SHE'S SO PRETTY! Your other Winx designs were also beautiful as well but theres something about Flora's that just makes me so giddy, I can't explain it. Maybe its the fact i myself am a fan of traditional Fae stuff and Flora is the nature fairy. I cant wait for the Flora Rant, and I hope that its brought up that she literally can decompose her enemies aka return them to nature. Thats horror movie stuff and they gave it to Flora... Then didn't do anything with it. Also... 10:18 So... Thats why when i watched anything after Season Three I felt off about the story- I had no idea that Dan had gotten involved with the show. Though I did watch it on Nickeloden when I was younger and should've put two and two together when i got older and learned about Dan... I guess my brain decided to protect me 😅

Yes! Flora has always been my favorite of the team. I felt both inspired and relatable to her, plus her desing is so pretty. Also your design looks lovely! Very flowery and elegant.
Flora was (and still is) my favorite too! I saw pink and flowers and was immediately like: "sign me up!" 😅 i also related to her because she was gentle and shy. part of me wishes she stayed single but she and helia are the best couple in winx so i'm not too mad about it.
I head cannon that Flora had quite a realisation when she was younger that she genuinely could do a whole lot with her powers but could also be very dangerous. It the reason she’s so mature. Honestly, with a darker personality and a lack of Dragon Flame BS she would be very feared in the magic dimension. But she curbed that shit hard and grew up quicker than most because as of great power and responsibility. It would have been nice to see stuff like that explored with her relationship with Bloom.
Something I’ll always love is when kids who watched animated shows like Winx clubs grew up and Netflix was like “we made an updated version for adults!” We were just like “No! Give me more pretty magical fairies! Idgaf if it’s ‘mature’ or not, I never watched it because of that! GIVE ME PRETTY MAGICAL FAIRIES PR GIVE ME DEATH!”
Can you do a redesign of the Winx’s Sirenix forms? They’re uniformed, which is one of the big issues with their designs. Believix was the form to have individual designs for each fairy. 🧚♀️ Also, they had a goth concept art of Sirenix!
Listening to you rant and watching you draw has me wanting to try and design a Winx transformation of my own. maybe it's a bit too similar to Enchantix but. the current concept name is Soullix, because they're unlocking the truest part of not only their powers but themselves in general- their personalities, their entire lives, all fully realized. the point is that they're *meant* to look different from each other because they're *different people*, not just carbon copies or a transformation that has the same outfit just slightly recolored. Not quite sure what it'd look like or how they'd get it though yet.
I'm hispanic and Flora was absolutely my favorite as a kid. I loved her, because the only other hispanic girl on tv was Dora, who I wanted to punch bc the pauses felt like an eternity for a little kid with adhd lol. I may not see myself as a girl anymore, but Flora still holds a special place in my heart! I love what you did with her ❤
Flora used to be a character I was indifferent to as a kid, most likely because she was often sidelined, but honestly, after revisiting the show, she's become my favorite of the girls. I really love her personality, and i'm a really big fan of nature and elemental themed powers. Hopefully, in the reboot, she's given way more attention.
I just love Flora so much growing up because as a brown Latina myself, seeing someone who has the same skin tone as me felt so nice and it gave me an idea to do an inspiration look of hers that mixes with my Mexican culture.

Okay this video inspired me so a litte ideas First of all Helia, now that I'm older I would really like the boys being not just love interests you can dive deeper to a character without necessarily giving them much screentime. So as for Helia's character initial premise was so good I think. Because I love artist characters and often in media they are depicted as depressed or not really succesful in their studies or shy. So having someone who was succesful but they decided to art because they just dont like violence (especialy even if they are a boy) and is someone who is confident (without being streotypical rude or flirty) would bring much more character diversitiy to the boys an in general loves art character. I loved the idea that he would continue the art school., but still friends with the specialists so maybe he comes to visit them when they have big events + winx wasnt just set in colleges. You can easily have him interact with Flora in for example magix. Secondly Flora, as someone who wants to study medicine I would love if they leaned more into that angle of her. Like she can be someone who works really hard, wants to help people, etc. And in my head she would be cool headed and kind at the same time (like a doctor she would be able to handle crazy situations where everyone would panic), but just because she takes a logical aproach in dire situations doesnt make her a emotionless character. I think it would breathe a new life to cold antisocial doctor troupe. And her and helia would flip the dynamic I most see in romance books ( girl being/ want to be an artist and boy being/ want to be a doctor) without necessarily making them streotypical "doctor" or the "artist" Like you said their relationship I think will be much better if we have the perspective of the both characters. And overall screentime/ relationship building (but not through stupid fights or jealousy )
Tbh i think you would really enjoy the winx rewrite from Vathyskotadi on ao3. The way they handled all the winx and especially Flora in the first 2 seasons has been amazing so far. Also they did fix Flora and Helia's relationship. Also it has been a delight to see how much you have changed since your miraculous days
Ooh we’re redesigning Flora, interesting. When I saw Bloom’s hair it looks way too long to me. Here’s my hot take…. Aisha is a hot headed and impulsive girl and they made it worse in World of Winx and season six and I honestly hated that because I kind of liked her character till I saw world of Winx and season six, princess or not Aisha’s character aside from losing Nabu isn’t good whatsoever she has way too much aggression and anger that she takes out on the Winx girls… what I’m trying to say about Aisha is that her athletic personality is annoying and it makes her character just suck afterwards
I must be that boring person but not personality type itself - execution was pretty bad and then they stopped caring at all about proper portrayal of any character
One thing I love about Flora is how indeterminate her race is. Yes she's based on a Latino musician/actress originally but she does have those EA elements, and as a white girl, my colouring in all aspects was closest to her as a kid too. I wish more fantasy stories mixed racial elements like that. Representation is important, but we're all human. Why would racial traits be distributed in another world the same way they are in ours? Let their races be unique too

I feel like my personality is always a mixture of Flora and Stella and characters that are kind of coded like them; Yasmine and Cloe from Bratz are great examples
Actually I think Layla, Bloom,Stella and Roxy were royalty, while Techna, Musa and Flora are common folk. So before Roxy came in, it was pretty much even. I do understand That Flora has a lot of wasted potential and I like your design and Ideas for her a lot. I also like Helia for your, but your points on him make sense. I maybe would have brought him in post season 3 when the winx graduate, and Flora would meet him somewhere else, without the contest of the redfountain in place. I think each Winx club member should've gotten their a season that focuses on them. Season 1:Bloom Season 2:Musa Season 3:Stella Season 4:Flora Season 5:Layla Season 6:Techna.
In certain translations Musa was a princess in the first season and it was dropped in favor of her father losing his title to marry her mother. With only Tecna and Flora never having royal origins
Bloom, Stella, and Layla were the only royalty in Winx. Musa, Tecna, and Flora werent royalty. Musa saves the Princess of her realm to earn her Enchantix. And we know basically nothing about Tecna's parents. (All my knowledge on Winx Club is from the first 5 seasons or so. I stopped watching soon after that because even season 4 felt gimmicky to me)
I love Flora and during the duration of the Winx Club series i was so dissapointed that she was so overlooked. That's one of the main reasons why i adore the Fate: Winx Saga Netflix reboot. She got so many spotlight after her arrival in season 2 and was crucial to the plan to overcome the evil guy. She was treated by Terra kinda how she was treated by the studio that made her in the first place, she was constantly underestimated and overlooked. I love how it was acknowledged to be a problem. The show is far from perfect but this is one of the things they did right.
I also loved Flora! I think it was because she looked like me (I'm not hispanic, or asian, but I do have long brown hair) she was super sweet and nature. But also, I genuinely cannot remember if she was the one I said was my favorite or if it was Techna because purple. Sometimes things are just that simple when you're a kid. It's either she looked like me or wore my favorite color, I'll never know.
If you want a more mature Winx club i recomend "Veiled Wings and Shattered Panoramas" on Ao3 it's a re-write in a more mature way and with less plot holes, like the Helia re-enroll or how Riven trusted Darcy on day one, amongst other things. It's currently on season 4 and the writer wants to go at least to season 6
Aro-ace Flora with a maternal love for everyone seems like it would be an excellent fit for her. Gives her a Mother Earth personality. To be fair, I also had a crush on Helia. 😅 Specifically the 4Kidz one, partially because of his soft voice. 4Kidz is my headcanon, cause Cinelume was just so bland and the voices were lacking in expression. Go watch Unicorn of War's video on if the 4Kidz is arguably better.
38:39 I'm honestly really disappointed we never really found out what happened to Tecna in the Omega dimension. Like wouldn't it be interesting to see how it impacted her through nightmares and flashbacks? That would be an amazing way of developing her character if done right. Even tho she is my personal favorite I can also admit that she is one of the worst written and most neglected of the girls.

@@luzcalderon7808 A lot of people don't know BTS stuff like that. And I personally thought yhat Helia was Asian when I was younger (perhaps how they drew his eyes), and if you wanted to keep with the Spanish influence, he could be Filipino. But Latino also works.
In my opinion, AI being used to help conceptualized scenes or charcaters and get the idea going is what it was MEANT to do for artist. Before the 'Ai Artist(thief)' start to use it to hurt artists, I remembered how excited my art community and I were. We were so hyped about the new ideas AI can give us and we then use that to help out with our concepts. We do all the work ourselves but with AI we can get all the bad ideas out of the way without needing to draw 10 thumbnails before hand.

Can't help but laugh at the pic she showed when talking about the AI accusations, though. I know the artstyle doesn't mean anything about the final character design and the concept's just a guide...but it looks like this mf just dropped from Arcane. With absolutely no context whatsoever for who he is other than "Winx Club", the juxtaposition just killed me.
Fun fact : For some reason my brain tricked me into thinking Helia and Flora are the type of best friends everyone mistake as a couple and they never bother correcting it.
And I knew it couldn't be what the canon relationship is like but my memories are so vivid I would have sworn it was true.
This! And also back in the og series, I always thought if Flora HAD to have a love interest, I thought Flora and Riven would make more sense as a couple (opposite attracf is my biggest weakest, lol), and Helia could've end up with Musa.
That would have been so much more interesting! Also it would be way ahead of it's time and show that men and women can just be friends.
I think it’s really sweet that even though Flora is frequently memed on as being useless or a punching bag for all her wasted potential and yet she’s still one of the most beloved characters of the franchise
31:25 You know what could've been interesting? Making Helia the ONLY love interest that isn't a fighter. Won't that be an interesting arc for him? Not only that, but think of it as Flora and Helia trying to balance their time for school and their time for each other since they won't see each other as often compared to the Specialists. I don't know where is Helia's art school located, but I'm assuming it's kind of far? So while the two can have time to develop as characters individually, they can have struggles being in a long distance relationship. More time for growth for themselves AND as a couple
It could also be fresh to see a couple being more mature about arguments, showcasing to young girls that you don't need yelling or pointing fingers or anything like that to deal with disagreements.
Do you think you could do Aisha/Layla? She had so much potential in being a mermaid/fairy hybrid, and how she’s a parallel to Bloom, but the story kept having Bloom save her kingdom when Aisha should save her own kingdom, and with all the trauma she went through, such as Darkar torturing her and her having to adjust to life after that, being the savior of pixies, the struggles of an arranged marriage, losing Nabu and almost losing herself, her world being taken over by Valtor and then Tritannus, the way that she wielded the Sword of Neptune which hints at her being their rightful heir to both the undersea kingdom and the kingdom on land never being talked about, how Sirenix should have focused on her, but Bloom, and how Bloom and her are equal in power and how she taught so much to the Winx, about conserving transformations and depths of magic and they helped by being true friends to her, when she was isolated a lot as a child. She had a lot of potential and she was pushed aside for Bloom in scenarios where it would make sense to have her be the focus, similar to what they did with Flora. I adored Aisha’s unique friendship with each of the Winx. If you can’t, I totally understand! I loved this video, can’t wait to rewatch it!

All latina characters dont have to be "spicy." Every race is allowed to just be a person, regardless of whether it aligns with popular stereotypes. It doesn't have to be palatable or exciting as they'd like it. She can be shy and smart just like anyone else. This is my first video from this youtuber and she seems a bit out of touch with some things, or at least not very critical of her wording or opinions. I'm glad im seeing comments on this because that stuck out to me as soon as she said it.

She said it was because her eye shape is the same as Musa's, and the "honor student" stereotype is just a bonus as to why she always thought she was meant to be Asian. And as when she watched the show she herself was a South Asian young girl, it's easy to see why she would read those cues as she did. Interpreting that as a slight against latinas is honestly a bad faith take.
Musa had her voice taken away and became mute. One of the great changes in the reboot cast is that all of the girls had diverse heights! Musa's the shortest and Aisha's the tallest!

one way to look at the "busy" design for Stella is Stella is the fashion star shes never not been over the top so go over the top all you want! And with flora being more simple suits her natural nature her power is the most natural
also I think Flora's strength(being the 2nd strongest) its also her greatest weakness as its been revealed that harming nature hurts her greatly(wither it be she actually feels the pain of trees being cut or if its the fact the voice's of nature screaming becomes overwhelmingly painful that it hurts her) she's the only one we have rarely seen be affected by what she is the fairy of

I LOVED Flora and Helia so much! I feel like we should've just gotten some nice domestic specials after the lost kingdom showing the different couples now that there was *finally* some freetime in store for them and let that be it. Just six short episodes showing the winx relaxing with their boyfriends ie. Bloom & Sky having dinner together giggling and talking, Flora entertaining animals using her powers while Helia draws etc. I think you get the point!

Also I think her relationships with Helia was kinda cute - tho they really did wasted their characters at both sides: they could do better with how she fell for Helia, e.g. making it more of a slowburn (yea for me their ship was cute but felt a bit too hurried) or even add flavor of "friends to lovers" trope, and not enroll him back to Red Fountain with very, VERY little explanation
Also: gaining confidence with help of Helia could be made into a stepping stone to her finding that confidence herself - bc it's kinda easier finding something in yourself when you have close support (since for obvious reasons her family bonds are distanced) then just by yourself. Luke "yes, my family-friends-boyfriend see that in me, I probably should look in myself more properly" and kinda that could be a helping push to full self-confidence (sorry if explained that part poorly)

I noticed, her crown is obviously a flower crown but what if that changes depending on the season?
For example her spring crown could be cherry blossoms, daffodils and daisies the like and of course pink roses, here her crown would be full blossom all flowers
her summer crown could flowers like zinnias, marigolds and maybe even hibiscus and I think that one would be more viney than floral
I think an autumn crown could incorporate some autumn leaves similar to the laurel you gave Bloom and autumn roses (they have warmer colors) and have more twigs that look like curling branches
Winter I'm not too sure but maybe her crown could have small fluffy like flowers like periwinkles
It'd be really cool to see the hue of her dress change as well
Fully pink in spring and summer (maybe more pastel in spring)
Autumn could be a more red hue
And winter would have muted shades of rose gold all still pink of course just different shades
I also think it'd be cute if the roses on her dress in summer grow into maybe strawberries or just some kind of fruit

Final note, I think in winter it'd be cool to see some frosty fluff on the edge of her wings like in secret of the fairy wings when the fairies use light frost to protect their wings
Tbh, they could've handled Flora and Helia better if the series adapted their official comic counterparts into the animated show. Cause they had way more chemistry. And they gave Helia some much needed depth. For example, unlike in the TV show. Comic Helia was confirmed to be from Lymphea and was actually Flora's childhood friend. And we see them actually bonding in a comic arc.
She was the most beautiful and effortless one and really smart she was able to reverse Mirtas curse despite being a first year.
I actually really like Helia, but I do agree that he just became another one of the specialist, which made him redundant. So here is my suggestion how to fix that, instead of rejoining Redfountain he would enroll in Alphea. It would still make him part of the main team, but without compromising his pacifistic principles.
The reason that I love Flora so much is because I was Rosetta girly. Now my opinion on the romance part is that Musa or Layla (Aisha if you didn't know) didn't have a love interest. I don't know what it was, but they didn't seem like the type to have/want a lover. I love both Riven and Nabu I just don't think those two were the type for lovers. Now if there is a chance to throw away one of the boys hands down Skye. He is truly useless and if he was gone then we would get more about the other characters (in theory) Sorry for that rant about random things about winx those are somethings I feel about winx mainly
Skyes only real reason was 1 to be the fairytale Prince for bloom, and 2 as a bait and switch for Brandon's story. That is they were Prince and the paupering when bloom and Stella got involved with them, and I do think it says a lot about Stella that she still chose Brandon when she comes across very shallow. But yeah Skye himself: boring, basic, kind of not a good person either given the arranged marriage situation...

I remember as a kid I did not like flora, and it was for the silliest reason. It was because in media all the other girls had *epic* powers and then boom girl with brown hair has earth and flower powers AGAIN. And as a brown hair brown eye girl who thought that my appearance was boring and found nature powers boring, I took it out on flora. Now I love nature powers because they're really cool and so is flora
Tecna and Flora were my favorite characters in Winx club! Flora because I love how pretty and graceful she looked and her voice was so soothing. Tecna was a favorite of mine because I loved how sassy and stubborn she was in the first few seasons

I head cannon that Flora had quite a realisation when she was younger that she genuinely could do a whole lot with her powers but could also be very dangerous. It the reason she’s so mature. Honestly, with a darker personality and a lack of Dragon Flame BS she would be very feared in the magic dimension. But she curbed that shit hard and grew up quicker than most because as of great power and responsibility. It would have been nice to see stuff like that explored with her relationship with Bloom.

Can you do a redesign of the Winx’s Sirenix forms? They’re uniformed, which is one of the big issues with their designs. Believix was the form to have individual designs for each fairy. 🧚♀️ Also, they had a goth concept art of Sirenix!

maybe it's a bit too similar to Enchantix but. the current concept name is Soullix, because they're unlocking the truest part of not only their powers but themselves in general- their personalities, their entire lives, all fully realized. the point is that they're *meant* to look different from each other because they're *different people*, not just carbon copies or a transformation that has the same outfit just slightly recolored.
Not quite sure what it'd look like or how they'd get it though yet.

I loved her, because the only other hispanic girl on tv was Dora, who I wanted to punch bc the pauses felt like an eternity for a little kid with adhd lol. I may not see myself as a girl anymore, but Flora still holds a special place in my heart! I love what you did with her ❤
Flora used to be a character I was indifferent to as a kid, most likely because she was often sidelined, but honestly, after revisiting the show, she's become my favorite of the girls. I really love her personality, and i'm a really big fan of nature and elemental themed powers. Hopefully, in the reboot, she's given way more attention.

I just love Flora so much growing up because as a brown Latina myself, seeing someone who has the same skin tone as me felt so nice and it gave me an idea to do an inspiration look of hers that mixes with my Mexican culture.
I always wanted to look like Flora since I was a very small kid because I found and still find her the most beautiful ever, I also liked pink and have light brown hair. I'm 26 today and I added blond highlights to my long brown hair especially the front pieces and now I look like her ! so happy :D I'm North African and I always thought she looked like me but like a tanned version I was delusional lol

Okay this video inspired me so a litte ideas
First of all Helia, now that I'm older I would really like the boys being not just love interests you can dive deeper to a character without necessarily giving them much screentime. So as for Helia's character initial premise was so good I think. Because I love artist characters and often in media they are depicted as depressed or not really succesful in their studies or shy. So having someone who was succesful but they decided to art because they just dont like violence (especialy even if they are a boy) and is someone who is confident (without being streotypical rude or flirty) would bring much more character diversitiy to the boys an in general loves art character. I loved the idea that he would continue the art school., but still friends with the specialists so maybe he comes to visit them when they have big events + winx wasnt just set in colleges. You can easily have him interact with Flora in for example magix.
Secondly Flora, as someone who wants to study medicine I would love if they leaned more into that angle of her. Like she can be someone who works really hard, wants to help people, etc. And in my head she would be cool headed and kind at the same time (like a doctor she would be able to handle crazy situations where everyone would panic), but just because she takes a logical aproach in dire situations doesnt make her a emotionless character. I think it would breathe a new life to cold antisocial doctor troupe. And her and helia would flip the dynamic I most see in romance books ( girl being/ want to be an artist and boy being/ want to be a doctor) without necessarily making them streotypical "doctor" or the "artist"
Like you said their relationship I think will be much better if we have the perspective of the both characters. And overall screentime/ relationship building (but not through stupid fights or jealousy )

Ooh we’re redesigning Flora, interesting. When I saw Bloom’s hair it looks way too long to me. Here’s my hot take…. Aisha is a hot headed and impulsive girl and they made it worse in World of Winx and season six and I honestly hated that because I kind of liked her character till I saw world of Winx and season six, princess or not Aisha’s character aside from losing Nabu isn’t good whatsoever she has way too much aggression and anger that she takes out on the Winx girls… what I’m trying to say about Aisha is that her athletic personality is annoying and it makes her character just suck afterwards
I must be that boring person but not personality type itself - execution was pretty bad and then they stopped caring at all about proper portrayal of any character
One thing I love about Flora is how indeterminate her race is. Yes she's based on a Latino musician/actress originally but she does have those EA elements, and as a white girl, my colouring in all aspects was closest to her as a kid too. I wish more fantasy stories mixed racial elements like that. Representation is important, but we're all human. Why would racial traits be distributed in another world the same way they are in ours? Let their races be unique too

Actually I think Layla, Bloom,Stella and Roxy were royalty, while Techna, Musa and Flora are common folk. So before Roxy came in, it was pretty much even. I do understand That Flora has a lot of wasted potential and I like your design and Ideas for her a lot. I also like Helia for your, but your points on him make sense. I maybe would have brought him in post season 3 when the winx graduate, and Flora would meet him somewhere else, without the contest of the redfountain in place. Bloom, Stella, and Layla were the only royalty in Winx. Musa, Tecna, and Flora werent royalty. Musa saves the Princess of her realm to earn her Enchantix. And we know basically nothing about Tecna's parents.
(All my knowledge on Winx Club is from the first 5 seasons or so. I stopped watching soon after that because even season 4 felt gimmicky to me)

I love Flora and during the duration of the Winx Club series i was so dissapointed that she was so overlooked. That's one of the main reasons why i adore the Fate: Winx Saga Netflix reboot. She got so many spotlight after her arrival in season 2 and was crucial to the plan to overcome the evil guy. She was treated by Terra kinda how she was treated by the studio that made her in the first place, she was constantly underestimated and overlooked. I love how it was acknowledged to be a problem. The show is far from perfect but this is one of the things they did right.
I also loved Flora! I think it was because she looked like me (I'm not hispanic, or asian, but I do have long brown hair) she was super sweet and nature. But also, I genuinely cannot remember if she was the one I said was my favorite or if it was Techna because purple. Sometimes things are just that simple when you're a kid. It's either she looked like me or wore my favorite color, I'll never know.
Never seen Winx Club before, but I absolutely adore Floras personality without being a modern Girl Boss

If you want a more mature Winx club i recomend "Veiled Wings and Shattered Panoramas" on Ao3 it's a re-write in a more mature way and with less plot holes, like the Helia re-enroll or how Riven trusted Darcy on day one, amongst other things.
It's currently on season 4 and the writer wants to go at least to season 6
Aro-ace Flora with a maternal love for everyone seems like it would be an excellent fit for her. Gives her a Mother Earth personality. To be fair, I also had a crush on Helia. 😅 Specifically the 4Kidz one, partially because of his soft voice. 4Kidz is my headcanon, cause Cinelume was just so bland and the voices were lacking in expression. Go watch Unicorn of War's video on if the 4Kidz is arguably better.
38:39 I'm honestly really disappointed we never really found out what happened to Tecna in the Omega dimension. Like wouldn't it be interesting to see how it impacted her through nightmares and flashbacks? That would be an amazing way of developing her character if done right. Even tho she is my personal favorite I can also admit that she is one of the worst written and most neglected of the girls.
