I am 72 and have played golf the wrong way! Tom's lessons have made golfing fun! Amazing golf shots going to the pin with a draw! Wasted $1K at Golf Tech for lessons trying to teach me to turn by back up and towards the target without success. Tom's simple concept of arms connected to upper chest, elbows towards hips and turning the upper body bringing the lead shoulder down and under your chin was the simple concept that made sense out of a Stack and Tilt swing. Thanks Tom.
I'm happy to be of assistance, Tony, and I'm very glad to know that these lessons have benefited your game!! By the way, have you checked out my online school yet? Been watching your videos for awhile now. Shot 78 yesterday, first time breaking 80 since August 2018. I missed inside 5 feet birdies on 15 and 16 so could have been lower. Anyone watching your videos, if they take the time and practice, it comes to you to change your game. Don’t rush it, be patient, it will pay off.
Ron S. - That's just fantastic! I hope you've continued to experience similar results - along with a few more drained birdie putts - since you posted this! If you don't mind I may choose to reuse your comment where appropriate in my replies to others, because I cannot overstress the importance of patience in learning a swing system that is likely vastly different from what they've been taught to do previously. Thanks again for your dedication, support, and sage advice, and congratulations on your success in properly implementing this swing!! Tom
Tom, I had a 4 level fusion in my lower back and played golf for 8 years. Eventually the back pain came back so I quit 2 years ago. After watching your videos on the pain free, effortless swing, I have started practicing it twice a week. No pain yet and great ball contact. I am very encouraged.
30+ years of playing as the tension player you described. I watched this video yesterday and wanted to give it a try at the range. No time at the range today, noon tee time. I stood on the first tee and put all my weight on my front foot, turned my hips 45 and took a mighty swing with my driver. It felt odd...but.... pure contact. I was hooked/intrigued. By the fourth hole it no longer felt odd to load my left side, my contact was pure every damn time. I thought " what witchcraft is this". Then I unleashed a 200 yard 5 iron to the center of the green. I am 63, and it was 45 degrees out. That ball never should have gone 175 yards. Loudly I proclaim it. " I am a convert!!" Thank you Saguto Golf!

Brilliant brilliant! This has changed my whole game.Years of coaching loading the right leg then transferring back to the left was a big problem. After years of rugby my brain did not want me to transfer back to my left side.I have. Had two replacement knees but after watching a couple ofTom’s videos re tilting and the correct hip movement and crucially allowing the right leg to straighten I now find I can follow through completely. Golf coaches couldn’t help me but Tom did.Early days yet but I feel I have more power but need to resist the temptation of trying to really smash it. Also mayI add that I used to be an educational consultant training young teachers. My biggest message was the main goal of education was to explain things in a way that your students could understand. This is often overlooked by so called experts but Tom you pass this test with flying colours! Many thanks. Mike Howard

Saguto, I've been working on this swing you're teaching for the past few weeks and it has changed my game completely. I spent hundreds of dollars on lessons before that didn't really help and now after watching just a few of your videos everything is starting to click! IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW! THANK YOU!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! This is finally the piece of the puzzle that worked for me after hundreds of other videos and teachers all failed!!! Straightening the back leg and putting weight on the front has given me turn, power and accuracy after all this time. I've always been pretty awful and horribly inconsistent, as any little variable in the swing can make you go from hero to zero. I recently have been focusing on my core staying centered which has allow me to hit the ball more solidly but lacked distance. Following this video, I am now hitting my sand wedge in my back yard almost twice as far as before with great accuracy and extreme height! A slow backswing did wonders for me - allowed me to coil, bend my wrists and then power sweep through the ball. Amazing! SLOW BACKSWING, KEEP THAT HEAD DOWN AND BODY CENTERED (keys for me). Thanks a million - love your videos!
Love what your doing golf needs you! My dad is 77 and I took him to the rang and showed him how to be a Saguto golfer. He immediately went from example: 3 wood 120 to 165. He worked on all the hip, should, and face position to get here. He is not computer literate so he asked me to tell you thx.
That's fantastic, Matthew!! Please pass along my appreciation to your dad along with my compliments for his effective implementation! And thank you for your most excellent job as a SagutoGolf instructor!!! Tom
Awesome Tom I’m a senior golfer here in NC and have adopted your method and practiced it for about three weeks and I can tell you I hit the ball better than ever and gained distance!
After not picking up the clubs in over 10 years, my dad introduced me to your vids and now I'm hitting the ball straighter, further, more confidently and having more fun doing it! Great tips!
I'm very glad to learn of your success through this instruction, and I am thrilled to know how much you are now enjoying this great game!! *THAT* is what this channel and my online school are really all about!! Thanks for sharing, keep up the great work, and kudos to your dad!! Cheers! Tom

This instruction has totally transformed my golf, I have been using the "stiff right side" for years and have had some success with it ,however as the years progressed it became so much harder to get a proper shoulder turn. I am 66 years old and play of a handicap of 8, and I'm struggling to hold that, pain in the lower back and shoulders contributing to that struggle. However after watching your video instruction ,with a little bit of scepticism, I tried this last week and I could not believe the quality of shots I was hitting, I kid you not I'm putting at least 10 to 15 yards on my shots, relatively pain free. It's such a simple method, I can't believe that this instruction is not taught more by golf teachers. Thank you so much, love your teaching style. I am confident I can lower my handicap, whereas before I saw this method it was only going one way and that was up.
That's great, Neil! Thanks so much for sharing your success! Stress-free, pain-free power and accuracy means you can enjoy the game - and play it very well - for many more years to come! Well done!! Tom

tom, i can't believe how well this has worked for me. before i was a push and pull and raise the arms going back but now i'm doing the shoulder turn as you said and the arms go where they're supposed to go w/o thinking about it. it all seems and feels so right, even the down swing seems automatic. thnx.

Thanks, @Tmak - I'm very glad to know that you are enjoying my channel's content! While it's not necessarily part of this swing system that I teach, as long as you are staying centered and not shifting back and forth you can certainly get by with the lead heel coming up. For example, here's a quote from Jack Nicklaus, a pretty good player (🙄😆) who famously allowed his left heel to come up: "I don't believe in a lateral shift," says Nicklaus. "Of course not. I believe in staying on the ball." Asked what he thinks about teachers who advocate a weight shift, he answers, "They don't know how to play." By the way, if you are interested in working on keeping that lead heel on the ground and loading into your front side throughout the swing as I teach, this recent episode may help: ruclips.net/video/1OSKMF8X_zQ/видео.html Cheers! TS
This is about the most helpful tip I've ever received. Watched last night and played 18 holes today. Hitting the ball farther, more consistently, with less effort and without feeling like my bodies been beat up afterwards. Why didn't anyone else tell me this during my many previous lessons. THANKS.
You are a blessing I started watching your videos about 4 months ago game has improved greatly and I'm 49 years old and it was getting harder to turn, but with your videos all I can say is I'm hitting the ball farther than I ever have! You made so simple with the 60/40 Weight distribution. I Love you man
30 degree tilt at address... Check 45 degree hip turn.. Check 90 degree shoulder turn.. Check Club shaft on same as shoulders.. Check Left shoulder pointed outside ball, by how much 6". 12". or right at ball, same for irons & driver.???? Great videos keep up the great work.. Thanks
In your backswing you want to maintain the same orientation to the ground that you established with your chest at address. This concept is the same for all clubs, although the shaft length on the driver and other longer clubs should naturally result in more of an around the body feel than the shorter irons. Cheers! Tom
Thankyou so much Tom, I’m 6ft 4 and have a big upper body. I thought that i would never be able to get a 90 degree shoulder turn I just presumed I was too big to do this move. Now you have told me about the hip movement I can easily get 90 degree turn. I haven’t hit a ball yet but I’m excited to get to the range. I can’t thank you enough ❤️
That's great, James!! By the way, to supplement this take note of my setup. Having both feet flared out approximately 20 degrees with the knees similarly angled outward are prescribed setup features of the Stack & Tilt swing system I teach. This orientation provides for an unrestricted 45 degrees of tilted hip turn, at which point we only need to add another 45 degrees of shoulder turn for a full 90 degrees. The result is a centered, stress-free, flowing motion back and through, and a very body-friendly, consistent, powerful swing. You definitely don't need the flexibility of a Romanian gymnast - or even that of a far less pliable 28-year-old golf instructor - to execute this swing and experience great ball striking. Have fun out there!! Tom PS: By the way, here's a link to my FREE mini-course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker” in case you’re interested in checking it out: go.saguto.golf/
@@SagutoGolf after testing this today I can say it helped massively. I was consistently hitting my 6 iron 170 yards I even managed to hit the one shot 192 yards which I was extremely happy with. Thankyou so much Tom. Life’s too short to play bad golf 😆
I went out and I tried that -I wasn't sure what to do with my feet. Unfortunately yesterday I sprained my wrist falling off my bicycle! So I wasn't able to really swing it but even with a sprain wrist barely holding onto the club with the hip turn I had several drives that were amazingly straight and I got some distance with barely using any arm power. I can't wait till my wrist is better and I can fully explored this 4545 trick! Thank you
Sorry about your wrist, Kathleen, but I'm very glad to learn of your ball striking improvement!! It's quite surprising at first when we experience that seemingly effortless power that comes from relinquishing control of the swing to the big muscles and just letting the hands and arms "go along for the ride", right?? By the way, have you considered enrolling in the online school and taking your learning - and your game - to the next level? Outstanding once again. This is another tip I really needed, and had been wondering how you were getting that nice full shoulder turn, & making it look so effortless. I have always known a full 90 turn was essential, but not sure how to get to where I knew I needed to be. Thanks another essential piece/tip, I needed to know, in order to revamp my too many moving parts, totally messed up golf swing. Excellent!!!
I'm glad this lesson resonated well with you, Steven! It all begins with a proper setup. For example, contrary to shift and lift instruction where you may be taught to keep your trail foot perpendicular to the target line as a means of "creating resistance" in your trail side, in this swing system we flare both feet out 10-20 degrees in order to facilitate a free flowing 45 degrees of inclined hip turn. From there we only need another 45 degrees of shoulder turn to get to the full 90. By the way, based on your comment I thought you might appreciate the bird's eye view perspective offered in this episode from the archives: ruclips.net/video/WxDD63quyk8/видео.html Finally, with regard to revamping you "messed up swing", though I've likely mentioned it previously I really do believe that the structured, sequential learning platform of the online school will work wonders for you. saguto.golf Cheers! Tom
@@SagutoGolf It all males perfect sense. I feel the weight on left side is much better. I feel like I'm getting close to where I need to be at set-up. Not sure I can absorb too much more information on this stuff yet at this time. It will be difficult to get out and practice now, that the weather is turning colder in Minnesota, where I reside. Your videos are top notch, no doubt about it, as are your communication skills young man. This golf guy is very impressed. I will be working on this stuff, the best I've seen online by a country mile. Thanks.
Please never change Tom, you are manic, innovative and very funny ( Voice from the woods, laughing out loud by now, too funny).Since adopting your teachings about a month ago, my trail leg serious hip and toe pain has completely disappeared like it was never there. you know.... we were taught all wrong in the 70s`and they screwed us. And over the years I became a skeptic. It's refreshing ... hell... it's a damn joy to find out that I was doing, a lot of things that you're telling me, was right. You've given me a better understanding of the swing and positions. I never liked that feeling of stretching as far back as you can go against a right leg. I've been more of a forward guy.. it seemed to me it was easier to stay still. I could never produce any club speed that way but I got pretty good as an old guy LOL. It's so nice to go back to my real grip... or turn the trail foot out some.... that takes coiling out and now I can move around smoothly. You just can't be athlete coiled up tight like that. It always felt to me that I could turn 45 and 90 degrees pretty easily, yet they taught you really had to S T R E T C H . You can't control anything all tight like that. Anyway... another great video. thanks
Michael Batton - You were truly a man ahead of his time!! I'm just glad to affirm that which you already knew, and I'm thrilled to learn that you've put it back into play!! Thanks for sharing! Tom
Tried the weight forward and more under lead shoulder turn on a 6 iron shot from 165.. blasted it over the green 15 yards!!! Haven't hit a 6 iron that far in 20 years (im 57) !!!! Thanks Tom!!!

Hey tom. I just subscribed to your online golf school and felt like I was getting stuck with my hip turn at the first 45 degree mark. I played Tuesday and shot a 49 better than the 56 I shot 2 weeks ago which was my first round on ten years !

Awesome tip. I’m 74 with herniated disk on my vertebrae from when a limo crossed a red light in LA and turned over my SUV when I was 50. I wish you were around then but it’s never too late. Thanks. I know now I can play better with your very simple explanation of this single plane swing.

A gentleman at the range reminded me of these principles Saturday as I was warming up. During my round I hit my driver farther and straighter that ever before. My playing partner commented that my swing was much better than the last time we played. This works wonders for my game.
Thanks Tom: New subscriber here. I've been struggling with power leakage and inconsistent contact (you know, hitting slightly behind or topping the ball). Two videos I've seen make a whole lot of sense. This video and the watermelon drill. I've only just watched in the last 24 hours so I haven't had the chance to get to the range. But just working on getting the feel inside my house makes me feel confident that I'm going to see some big improvements. The more I see your videos the more I think that the golf industry, when it comes to teaching, is screwed up. Had several lessons and not once did anyone describe the easy concepts of the swing like you have here. I'll keep you posted as to my progress.

Your tip on turn the waist and then your shoulders to 90 degrees has been life saver for this 66 yr old. I was hitting the ball fat time after time. Now only after a couple practices I've hit only a couple fat shots and the ball is going straight. Thanks... now if you could post a video on fairway woods. I seem to top them quite often. Can't figure out why, unless I'm leaning back unconsciously thus making my swing move up over the ball. Again thank...

Generally, irons work well if I remembered to keep my left arm straight but I had trouble with the driver, almost certainly for the same reason: not dropping the left shoulder and keeping it down during my downswing, and not rotating properly. All my ball marks were at the bottom of the clubface. Changing your swing is like changing your religion: You've got to have faith..... Doing the ULTIMATE DRIVER CRASH COURSE now
Tom, many thanks from the U.K. for your video lessons, having followed your tutorials my driving has improved immensely and I am now shooting a round in the 80's consistently, many many thanks you make learning enjoyable and entertaining, keep it up.
Thank you, John!! I truly appreciate your very kind words and am very glad to know that you are enjoying and benefitting from the lessons! Keep up the great work!!! Cheers! Tom
Awesome video Tom! This is the very time I heard hip /shoulder (45/45) = 90 degrees. The "traditional" tutorial lesson was hip/shoulder 45/90 = 135 degrees......God, I was good to turn that much.....until I hurt my lower back. T__T. Ur lessons are great! I will definitely and strongly recommend your videos to my frds.
Loving this it's so easy,I've taken your lessons to 3 range trips.went to the course and I wasn't hitting it any further but I was more consistent. Shot 83 my first time weight forward new posture and it was so easy loving it and cant wait to play again. Thanks Tom I'm hooked.
That's great, Garry!! The distance will improve as you really begin to get comfortable with your swing. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!! Tom
I completely lost my swing last season trying to create more “power”. I was so frustrated! Just a couple of buckets of balls with your setup and swing and I’m back to my normal HC and confident of continued improvement. Thanks for simplifying the game!
Steven - I truly appreciate your comment and suggestion! You may wish to consider looking into a SagutoGolf membership plan. It's one of the best golf instruction values out there. Tom Tom Tom you have been watching me play, I'm a chopper. Since my 3 level lower lumbar fusion I have become a chopper🪓🪓🪓after watching your video I played the best 9 holes in years(until my arthritis caught up to me but that's another story) and feeling like I can play again. Keep up the great videos. Darrel from Aus🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
That's AWESOME, Darrel!! We can now call you a "recovering chopaholic"!! 😆 Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!! (And I hope that arthritis simmers down so you can enjoy yourself more out there with your chop-free swing!) Cheers! Tom
That's great, Michael! Glad to know the instruction on this channel is helping you!! Please tell your golfing friends (after you get tired of beating them, of course)! Thanks for sharing! Tom
I enjoy your videos and your great sense of humor. I have been practicing your method or approach, focusing on turning my hips 45* and my shoulders 45*, making sure that my lead shoulder is moving down in relation to the ball and keeping my lead arm fairly straight.. I am making better contact with the ball, especially with my driver. I am now ready to learn how to control the ball flight and direction, particularly with my wedges. By the way, I really enjoyed your critique of Tom Brady's swing and how he could benefit from your method.
Thanks for your kind words, William! I'm very glad to know that the lessons have been helping you, and I truly appreciate you sharing that here!! You might wish to purchase a copy of the Stack & Tilt book by Mike Bennett and Andy Plummer, which I recommend to anyone wishing to have a reference manual for the deeper, finer points of this swing, including ball flight rules. Hey Tom great VID as usual! Doesn't straightening the right leg going back, become the dreaded reverse pivot and a power loss? Like wev'e all been taught over the years?
Graham - I could say that you just answered your own question by saying "like we've all been taught over the years"!........ 😆 Here's the thing about this swing in this specific regard: You start with your weight forward (55/45 on the front side), you keep that same weight forward during the backswing, and you gradually increase the forward weight through impact and to the finish (where you end up 95/5 forward). There's no "weight shift", therefore - unless you were to fall backwards - there's nothing to reverse or pivot!! (And, I might add, it's makes for a body-friendly, consistent, and tremendously powerful swing!) Cheers! Tom
Tom in this video, closer to the last third of it, when you preset your hip turn as a drill, that is very much like what Jim Venetos teaches. A presetting of the hips toward the back right corner of the mat. That's a lot like the setup in his method. The difference that he sets his shoulders closed also. On the way back, and in the downswing, it becomes all about staying still and letting the club do the work. His method and SNT aren't the same thing, but that setup is basically the same. Get on your front leg and stay there.
Love your videos dude, you have changed my swing to awesome, any chance you could do a chipping video in the future, you are amazing keep up the good work 👍🏌️♂️⛳🍺

Hi Tom, I just found your channel this month and I am fascinated- thank you! I enjoyed your comment at 3:30 in this video, about the attempts of "golf fitness" to prepare the body to swing in a way that it's not designed to. Before I found your videos, that idea actually seemed like the solution to me! Are there any exercises in particular that you recommend avoiding (since those moves promote coiling and tension buildup), and are there any exercises that would be helpful? - Ryan
I appreciate your kind words, Ryan!! I’m not any type of fitness expert so I really can’t offer you anything specific in that regard. I do know that when I transitioned away from a swing that was based on creating resistance and “torque” to Stack and Tilt, all swing-related pain left me and I gained both distance and a consistent, predictable ball flight. Personally I work out on average three days a week, putting in some time on the stationary bike and doing some strength training without trying to build too much bulk. I also do some light stretching prior to practicing or playing. I hope that helps! Tom PS: Since you’re new to the channel, I thought I’d briefly make you aware of my online school as that is where the most structured opportunity for learning resides. Hi Tom great vid as usual. I have been playing the traditional way for 40+ years and trying to use your method from now on. One aspect that is hard is hitting with the right hand as you suggested. In your game is your left hand passive when you strike the ball or not ?
Hi Robert - Sorry for taking so long to get back to you!.... For me the front hand (left for righties) is primarily for guidance. That's my feel anyway. If the left gets overactive or tries to take control it can reroute my path and cause bad things to happen. I like Hogan's statement that if he started his downswing correctly he wished he had three right hands to apply the power. There are other videos on this channel that can help you develop the feel that will work best for you. You may also wish to consider the SagutoGolf membership plan. Never mind - I can turn hips and shoulders to have the club a bit past vertical and still hit the ball farther than I did 20 years ago! PW at 120 yds - good enough for me!
I’ve been looking for a drill that will allow this broken down 61 year old to make a full shoulder turn and this one DOES IT! I still have a block slice but now at least it’s coming out of the middle of the face now with much more length. I now feel like there is some light at the end of the tunnel having not played for over 25 years. Thanks
That's fantastic! I'm very glad to learn that this video helped you unlock your shoulders and unleash your power!!! Now...Let's try to get rid of that block/slice ("BS" for short...)! If you haven't already done so, have a look at my recent downswing video as I think that may help in this regard. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/0lYuJdV1Pbo/видео.html. @@SagutoGolf Your grip video has turned the block slice into a draw. The swing plane is now inside out and the grip is generating a draw so no more block slices. Only one problem now... I have to set up in the 45/45 drill position for every shot or I can't hit a decent shot. It looks weird on the course but it's working. I suppose if Matthew Wolff can do what he does then so can I...
Tom you kill me, you're a funny guy. Can you give us a showing with the 55/45 left leg loaded and a driver swing. I'm loving the iron swing with this new idea. This reminds me of two guys that were teaching "stack and turn" but they used neutral leg load.

Thanks Tom.

Tom
Sure can use them
Tom, I had a 4 level fusion in my lower back and played golf for 8 years.

I’m 67 and have been playing bad golf for about 20 years. My best score ever was 90, which happened about 15 years ago. I went out yesterday and practiced and made some improvements. I’m playing tomorrow so I’m anxious to try this.
I’m very glad to know that this lesson resonated with you, Vic; excellent job incorporating it into your swing. 💪💪

Keep up the great work, Greg Boggs!! Thanks so much for sharing your success and also for your continued support!!

After not picking up the clubs in over 10 years, my dad introduced me to your vids and now I'm hitting the ball straighter, further, more confidently and having more fun doing it! Great tips!

This instruction has totally transformed my golf, I have been using the "stiff right side" for years and have had
some success with it ,however as the years progressed it became so much harder to get a proper shoulder turn.
Well done!!

I noticed practicing this that my left heel comes up...this is gold...love this channel man
Thanks, @Tmak - I'm very glad to know that you are enjoying my channel's content!
I believe in staying on the ball." Asked what he thinks about teachers who advocate a weight shift, he answers, "They don't know how to play."
By the way, if you are interested in working on keeping that lead heel on the ground and loading into your front side throughout the swing as I teach, this recent episode may help: ruclips.net/video/1OSKMF8X_zQ/видео.html

This is about the most helpful tip I've ever received. Watched last night and played 18 holes today. Hitting the ball farther, more consistently, with less effort and without feeling like my bodies been beat up afterwards. Why didn't anyone else tell me this during my many previous lessons. THANKS.
Thanks so much for sharing your success! I'm very glad to know this is helping you get more enjoyment out of the game!!

You are a blessing I started watching your videos about 4 months ago game has improved greatly and I'm 49 years old and it was getting harder to turn, but with your videos all I can say is I'm hitting the ball farther than I ever have! You made so simple with the 60/40 Weight distribution. I Love you man
letseehg - That's fabulous!! Thanks so much for your support and for sharing your great success!!

30 degree tilt at address... Check
45 degree hip turn.. Check
90 degree shoulder turn.. Check
Club shaft on same as shoulders.. Check
Left shoulder pointed outside ball, by how much 6". 12". or right at ball, same for irons & driver.???? Great videos keep up the great work.. Thanks
In your backswing you want to maintain the same orientation to the ground that you established with your chest at address. This concept is the same for all clubs, although the shaft length on the driver and other longer clubs should naturally result in more of an around the body feel than the shorter irons.
Cheers!

Tom

@@SagutoGolf after testing this today I can say it helped massively. I was consistently hitting my 6 iron 170 yards I even managed to hit the one shot 192 yards which I was extremely happy with. Thankyou so much Tom. Life’s too short to play bad golf 😆
AWESOME!! Well done, James!!
That's where - in addition to detailed lessons and drills that take you through the entire swing step-by-step from setup to finish - you'll find diagnostic tools for identifying/resolving swing and ball flight issues when they arise, plus advanced level courses on shot shaping, power and distance, and much more. So many folks across the globe - including many seasoned, low-handicap, competitive players - are now enjoying the best golf of their lives as a result. Tom
By the way, based on your comment I thought you might appreciate the bird's eye view perspective offered in this episode from the archives: ruclips.net/video/WxDD63quyk8/видео.html
Finally, with regard to revamping you "messed up swing", though I've likely mentioned it previously I really do believe that the structured, sequential learning platform of the online school will work wonders for you. saguto.golf

Your videos are top notch, no doubt about it, as are
your communication skills young man.
This golf guy is very impressed. I will be working on this stuff, the best I've seen online by a country mile.

@@SagutoGolf I will. You deserve it.👍
I don't know if I told you Tom but since I watched this video 2-3 months ago I've been hitting the ball longer
so thanks and keep them coming
Please never change Tom, you are manic, innovative and very funny ( Voice from the woods, laughing out loud by now, too funny).Since adopting your teachings about a month ago, my trail leg serious hip and toe pain has completely disappeared like it was never there. Always assumed it was just the ageing process, struggled to play more than 9 holes. Now it’s fun again, keep up the unique delivery of great information.

you know.... we were taught all wrong in the 70s`and they screwed us.

Awesome tip. I’m 74 with herniated disk on my vertebrae from when a limo crossed a red light in LA and turned over my SUV when I was 50. I wish you were around then but it’s never too late. Thanks. I know now I can play better with your very simple explanation of this single plane swing.

Hi, you have invented stack and tilt a second time, Great its perfect!
I apologize for forgetting everything I have learned from you on the front nine today. Score: 55 (it felt worse). Thanks for coming back into my head on the 10th tee. I remembered one thing you said in a previous video I watched: dip your left shoulder. Back nine score: 44 (and could easily have been lower). You're a star, Tom.
panteg - It's been a few weeks since you left me stranded during that front 9. I sure hope you're keeping me with you for all 18 holes now!!
Tom
@@SagutoGolf Nope, you disappeared when I had my driver in my hand. Doing the ULTIMATE DRIVER CRASH COURSE now
Going to try this in about 2hours. Also- thx for the humor!

Awesome video Tom! This is the very time I heard hip /shoulder (45/45) = 90 degrees. Great lesson. Does this fix scooping the ball?
Thanks, Tom! Will look into it!
Santa Claus from Finland also loved!! Make this game more simple :)
Hey Tom great VID as usual! Doesn't straightening the right leg going back, become the dreaded reverse pivot and a power loss? Like wev'e all been taught over the years?
Graham - I could say that you just answered your own question by saying "like we've all been taught over the years"!........ 😆
Here's the thing about this swing in this specific regard: You start with your weight forward (55/45 on the front side), you keep that same weight forward during the backswing, and you gradually increase the forward weight through impact and to the finish (where you end up 95/5 forward). There's no "weight shift", therefore - unless you were to fall backwards - there's nothing to reverse or pivot!! (And, I might add, it's makes for a body-friendly, consistent, and tremendously powerful swing!)
Cheers!
Tom
SagutoGolf ok great thanks a lot Tom!👍 keep up the great vids mate!
Tnx Tom!!
My pleasure, Jincy! I hope you're having a great day!!
Ghosh you are just too much Tom... 😂The start of this video was just 😊
You may indeed encounter some rather off-the-wall stuff in my channel's older archives, Vikram.... 😆😆

Tom

It represents one of the best golf instruction values out there. Excellent and fun instruction, Tom! How do you address the backswing for those of us who cannot TURN as much as you can?
Never mind - I can turn hips and shoulders to have the club a bit past vertical and still hit the ball farther than I did 20 years ago! PW at 120 yds - good enough for me!
Well done, Teodoro! Great job figuring it out!
And thanks for your kind words!

Also, this lesson may be beneficial if your "BS" is caused by an unstable grip: ruclips.net/video/g-Oue2IWbd4/видео.html.
Additionally, you may wish to consider the SagutoGolf membership plan. It represents one of the best golf instruction values out there. For just $10 US/month or $99 US/year you'll have unlimited access to a comprehensive members-only learning system for the entire swing and more. This will really simplify the learning process for you. Here's a link if you'd like more info: saguto.golf/p/golf-swing-simplified-tom-saguto-pga

Check out his great driver video. Driver uses 60/40 weight distribution.

Great video. Would really love to perform such golf shots.
Ritschi Ritschi - You CAN hit such shots!! It just takes time working on the correct things!

Does opening the right foot a little better for turning the hips on the backswing ? Just as opening the left foot helps with turning with the follow through??
Yep - you got it, Manny!
This really works!
