    I had the whole series and the mk3i is really the best, the company is always attentive to the needs of the community, I'm already waiting for the mk4i, thank you Garmin🙏🏼

    Love the flashlight in the MK3i. It’s such a simple thing, but so practical in daily life. Great interview. SWAG please.

    Send some swag my way! MK3i user. Started with the MK2i and when saw the new features had to upgrade. It’s a great dive computer. And beautiful watch. I get compliments on it all the time. One aspect that was not mentioned is the Dive app. Leagues ahead of any other dive app out there.

      you are right for sure. The ap is great, it still has a few things that they are working on adding that will be really nice, and that are available in competitors, but it is great for sure! Make sure to watch this one too: ruclips.net/video/tYmcmvracjw/видео.html

    When planning to raise my diver skills I considered buying a dive computer and was struggling to choose one (especially when it comes with rebreather diving), what a relief when I learnt that Garmin released not only a dive computer but a wonderful multisport watch all in one. That I'll sure use for my paraglider and runner activities so that isn't as pricey as it appears. I'd definitely buy one of this marvel ! Thank you @TeachMeToDive for editing information about this product

      Funny story for you. I purchased my first dive watch from them 4 years ago (Mk2i) and loved it so much, that I bought a Garmin Sport watch for my wife, 3 kids, kid-in-law, grandson, 2x mother-in-law, & mom. (over the course of 7 months as gifts). Then purchased my wife the G1. Now we both also have the new Mk3i's. I have about 1,500 dives on my Mk2i a couple of dozen marathons and half's, SUP, hikes, walks and so much more! lol :) Great watches for sure.

      @@TeachMeToDive yes it is, and that's a peace of mind. I hate theses Chinese (or whatever country) products that come with an attractive price but without any software or data skills behind. Sure some have huge dataset but they launch their product in a hurry with no prior quality check and proper testing.

    One massive issue I have with the Garmin Descent series is the disclaimer that it “may not provide accurate information during your dive”. I’m an Instructor, I also run a dive shop and no other computer has that disclaimer.

      Garmin is, by far, the largest company that makes computers and biometrics for sure. It isn't super surprising.
      I always dive two computers and it has been very consistent throughout for dives simple through tech

    Im just starting my journey into the Tech diving seen and soon as I land my next Tech (software) contract the MK3i is very high on my list! #swag ;)

    Wish i was there for the live, do you think they will add in suggested deepstops from the computer? (Pylestops)

    • @TeachMeToDive
      @TeachMeToDive  2 месяца назад

      There is no reason to add deep stops at all. With gradients you can simulate the same thing by lowering your gf low. But the real news is that Pyle stops are no longer a good idea and even Pyle himself doesn't use them. With the latest research from dan and NEDU a GF low of 50 is the best recommendation for safety

    Swag me up!
    Id like to see a sidemount mode and/or a way to tell the computer that youre not breathing on a transmitter. The sac/rmv values are pretty trash on anything but a single tank single transmitter dive.

      @TeachMeToDive  Месяц назад +1

      You might have missed this one... ruclips.net/video/tYmcmvracjw/видео.html this video shows the Garmin Mk3i on a SM dive. This will show you 1. both left and right tanks at the same time. 2. when you program in the pods, you can choose to have the calculate your sac from that pod or not calculate. You can also program the tank info IE tank size and capacity that the pod is on. 3. The Mk3i can use 8 pods at the same time, IE for multiple deco/bottom/travel gases and can use the data from any or all of them to calculate SAC or RMV :)

    One Question to Patrick: Why is the HRM Pro Plus Belt only for using in drysuits with only 5 ATM ? Scubapro offers an HRM belt for real Diving up to 120 m waterproof. The MK3i Descent is a great unit, but Garmin forgot to develop a real diving HRM-belt with skin temperature ! Or is it coming soon, with an software update for the MK3i ???😊

    • @TeachMeToDive
      @TeachMeToDive  2 месяца назад

      Supposedly, the HRM is good wet to 5ata. But i would imagine that on a dry suit it's as deep as you would like.
      They are working diligently on more biometrics though. Their surface biometrics are amazing though
