When I followe up, I was told that I'm going on to the next step (bg check) and I should hear from HR soon. Turns out no news was good news!

I am so glad that I found your video that I got encouragement to send a follow up email to the public company whose recruiter contacted me last Wednesday for scheduling a phone screening. However, until this morning, I have not heard from him. I was going to let it go because I already have two interviews lined up. After watched this video, I sent an email to the recruiter. As a result, he replied back and said he was busy and lost track of my email. We set up tomorrow 8 a.m. for phone screening. Thank you so much. Question for you: Why do Recruiters & HR departments Ghost 👻 candidates??? What is the purpose of such a rude habit? I've been ghosted by Recruiters even after the 2nd interview. Or better yet, I've had HR managers schedule phone interviews for a specific time & date & they're no shows! Is it so hard to simply say, "sorry but we decided to go with other candidates"? What's even funnier/annoying is that most times I've been ghosted, I DIDN'T EVEN APPLY FOR THE JOB! The recruiter or HR called me with a "perfect role", I didn't bother them with applying, THEY BOTHERED ME!!! 🤨
most recruiters have so many candidates to choose from that they arent worried about making candidates angry/upset. its common decency to respond to candidates after interviews, if a company doesnt respond then you know they arent worth your time. its frustrating but the interview is a 2 way process, they want to see if you are a good fit and you want to see if you would work well with them
I was told they will get back to me by monday with yes / no answer at my last interview. Send follow up to HR and VP by tuesday politely asking what's up. Got no response. They don't even have the decency to send me email saying ''fuck off''. So im not going to bother and send a second email.

First of all, thank you for all your free advice on RUclips it has certainly been helpful in my job search journey! So I was initially interviewed by the talent acquisition manager of the company (let's call him Bob) and then was passed off to the person who would be my direct supervisor in the position for a second interview (let's call him John). At the end of the interview with John, he said I would be a great fit and discussed the next steps and said he would be reaching out to Bob to follow-up with me on those next steps. The next day I thanked John as recommended in your videos. A week has gone by and I've heard nothing from John nor Bob. I emailed Bob a follow-up email and now it's been four days and still no response. Should I keep reaching out to Bob since that is the person who John said would be following up with me? Or circle back with John and inquire about the next steps. Thanks!
i was the opposite. my first interview was a 'catch up' with both the team leader & manager. i emailed a follow up 2 weeks later and they said they would call me but i haven't heard back since. not sure if i should follow up again :/
Hi Thanks for the video. I have something similar that is going on. At first I did a pre screening interview and two days later I did a test. Note: l had to chat the hiring manager and informed the person that I am interested in the Job. Before I was booked for a pre screening and test. Four days after I sent a message to HR but yet to get a feedback. I am planning on sending a second Mail week and also is it advisable to contact the hiring manager again that l am yet to get a back.
I had 2 hours long interview with future managers .Everything went well. They seemed impressed with my answers and one manager said they will let me know by end of week and another manager said we will work together in future and let you know in few weeks. It’s been over 3 weeks now and no response. I followed up once after two weeks. No sign yet. I received two separate links on MS teams by HR. The managers were not included in Cc . So I can’t even contact them directly.

The employer writes to me every two weeks to let me know that a decision has still not been made. I have asked them to reject me or to Co firm if I have the job but they just keep telling me to wait. What do I do

Secondly, I find the interview is similar like finding a date, if a person don't like the person that he or she just had the date with, more likely, they'd ignore them instead of saying "NO" directly as it feels like a straight rejection. What do you think?
But in case of interview, it is not related to relationship. Interview is straight forward if you are good fit for them its direct Yes or No. No drama , No begging like relationship, nothing !!! straight and simple. So , i feel follow is just a way of getting result whether it is negative or positive. Thats fine!!!

This exact situation is currently happening to me :(. I had a really successful interview about 4 weeks ago, and the HM told me he'd make a decision within 3 days of my interview. It's almost been a month and I haven't heard back. I have followed up with the recruiter twice, but have not received a single response. Would you recommend that I reach out to the HM directly at this point or call the recruiter instead of emailing her?
I recommend to keep following up, and yes even pinging the hiring manager. This is what I’m going through currently as well. Interview went well even to the extent that I already had knowledge in the position so it wouldn’t take much to train me. I was supposed to hear back from the VP of Sales 2 days later and nothing. 2 follow up emails since and still crickets. So discouraging. I would like some type of feedback, even I didn’t get the job but to get no response is so frustrating. I really wanted this job too! 😣

What happens if you followed up several times, they give you positive feedback after 2 interviews, but still no offer. It's been over a month

No response on follow up first email. Very bad and unprofessional.
