  • My transmission is messed up and I have to get it fixed. While I have the transmission down I go into detail about the ClutchMasters Hydraulic Release Bearing! A lot of people have asked me about it and now you get to see what it looks like and how it functions.

    Just a tip, you should have the bleed line coming out the top and the feed line at the bottom of the release bearing, easier to bleed and air rises so it gets pushed out the top 👍 keep up the good work.

      Thank you for the tip! It is a valid point! I was actually recently thinking about the line placement since I tore apart my car and I have the transmission out again LOL

    Little trick I like to use with those castle nut cotter pins is to take your needle nose pliers and first bend the pins as straight as you can (this part is obvious) but then Stick the 'nose' of the pliers through the looped end of the pin and grab. Then simply tap on the pliers with a hammer and the pin comes out with ease.

    Such a clean build. I have to rebuild my transmission and i got synchrotech synchros which ive heard good things about in the honda community. Im using them in my dodge diesel nv4500 so we will see how they handle 1000ftlb tq in my comparatively massive transmission. Keep up the content, i love watching other people work lol

    If you fill the transmission through the speed sensor hole and you leave the fill plug out then you will still fill the transmission to the proper fluid level as long as it’s running out. I don’t understand why that it’s wrong to do it that way when it’s still coming out of the fill hole

    Hey I'm installing the hydraulic trowout bearing on b series twin disk with gsr like yours, now I didn't put Shims and looks like the throwout bearing leaking , maybe it extended too much. I bought the shims now I'm waiting for arrival. I noticed you put 2 shims? Is that correct? Would it hurt if I put 3? I called clutch master and the guy said normally people put 1-3 shims.. lmk plz

    • @Aisha_LadyBuilt
      @Aisha_LadyBuilt  5 месяцев назад

      Yep, sounds like it pushed the seal out. The shims are different thicknesses, you have to measure. You can get technical and follow the instructions, or the easiest way is to look through the slave cylinder fork hole and try to measure (guesstimate) with a long screwdriver to get an approximate measure of how many and which shims you should use. Good luck!!

  • @Carlostype
    @Carlostype 3 года назад

    Hi, My 03 Yaris won't select gear intermittently. I notice the slave is not leaking and seems to operate the fork. Last time it happened I noticed I could select 1st after turning engine off but I feel a slight pull when I dip the clutch.
    Can you advise me as to what could be the problem? Thanks

    • @Aisha_LadyBuilt
      @Aisha_LadyBuilt  3 года назад +1

      This sounds like an internal transmission issue. You might have to take the transmission to someone to get it taken apart and fixed.

  • @julio3421
    @julio3421 3 года назад

    How many miles does it take to break in transmission before you can actually use it on a track cuz I think you do have to change the oil then first right????

    Need your help. Today I believe my throw out bearing went bad. Car was moving but hard to get into gear and out of gear. Making a loud ass noise when lifting off the clutch. Does this sound like tob. 700 whp dc2 clutch masters 725 series twin disk.

    • @Aisha_LadyBuilt
      @Aisha_LadyBuilt  2 года назад

      It could possibly be the throw out bearing, but it could also be the pressure plate/clutch itself. You're just going to have to drop the transmission and check it out. That Clutch Masters clutch is rebuildable, so if it is anything to do with the clutch/pressure plate send it in to get it rebuilt! Good luck!! Hope it's just the throwout :) lol

    • @tonytabrizi4825
      @tonytabrizi4825 2 года назад

      @@Aisha_LadyBuilt the clutch masters twin disk has less then 1k miles on it. Never been raced but I do keep my foot on the clutch alot. So throw out bearing for sure pilot bearing as well. Gears are all good goes in smooth. When car is off. But as soon as u realsese the clutch loud winning noise.
