Let me explain: 1.- Song Selection: If you have to select songs for a group, you take into account the group technical and style limitations, and well, Red Velvet has no technical or style limitations. They can take on any song. They just choose by taste (or eve by challenge), and not by restrictions, and that is a great advantage. And if you have money to pay for the best songs, well... that's SM money. 2.- "Serving the song": Kpop groups usually develop a fixed style and adjust the songs to their style (that's why all songs of a Kpop group sound a little alike). Red Velvet is the only group I can think of that work backwards. They take the song and adjust themselves to the best delivery the song needs to be elevated to greatness. The only way to do that is having the skill to do get the freedom at production to experiment, which they have by the ton.
In just a span of two weeks, you already promoted Red Velvet better than SM, LOL. 😂 But seriously, thank you for doing this. idk how to explain it correctly without sounding weird, i’ve never felt like this towards anyone else’s music but i feel like each of red velvet’s song is like a different character, with it’s own emotions and story. the way members sing, the way they portray the emotions feels so… alive? red velvet are one of a kind

If you guys are down, there’s this series that’s called Red Velvet a Mess Series, where it’s fan made videos highlighting “messy” and funny moments from their vlives and Instagram lives. From this series I found myself falling more in love with the girls after seeing their chaotic and playful side.

Red velvet is really the trust and listen type of group bc they never disappoint. The confidence of reveluvs that every album they'll release will always be good and top notch is always present. Even producers make songs specifically for rv or at least with rv voices in mind bc accrd to them, rv always deliver more than what they expected. They are also few of the groups that does their own back vocals (not just adlibs) and few groups where most of their chorus are sang by all members, they are that well rounded vocal group. I'm so proud and happy to see you guys dive into rv and fall for their talent and music for the past 7 days. Excited for you guys to dive in more as there are so much more gems in their discography. Something I just learned about SM (because I started basically as a REVELUV and then got into learning more about the kpop industry) is that SM has a very short promotion period compared to other companies (like 2-3 weeks? idk I am new to this information), which compounds the issue. :( UGH. They also have very few dance practices out, stuff like that - they just.... DON'T. For the most part. Their reality series is fantastic though.

Talking about discography and RV albums, they are the GG with the most albums in the top 60 most liked Girl group albums on Melon (Korea's most used music platform). Number 1 being RV's Red Summer. 15/60 are from RV. Thing is their title track might not be everyone's cup of tea (tho the production is always top tier) but the albums are always good. There's always going to be songs you will like. Thank you for both journey. I enjoyed your reactions and thoughts. And my pride of being a Luvie went up with each video. You have done a superior job at promoting them, doing what SM just won't. Regarding the sample you guys recognized in Marionnette, yes! apparently it is from the Nutcracker. I saw several luvies in twitter commenting that they sampled "dance of the sugar plum fairy" by Tchaikovsky. I think it is impressive how you guys pay so much attention to the references in red velvet's songs. As a musical references enthusiast I really appreciate it. Also, imressive, because not everyone is able to recognize these subtleties in the production. Red Velvet songs are full of easter eggs!

I really enjoyed your series. I had my Red Velvet journey alone last October. Not to sound like a sap, but their music is life changing. I love it. So happy you did Better Be. Some of the fans pay that song dust. I don't know why. If you do a third week, I suggest their variety show appearances. Something I just learned about SM (because I started basically as a REVELUV and then got into learning more about the kpop industry) is that SM has a very short promotion period compared to other companies (like 2-3 weeks? idk I am new to this information), which compounds the issue. :( UGH. They also have very few dance practices out, stuff like that - they just.... DON'T. For the most part. Their reality series is fantastic though.

Talking about discography and RV albums, they are the GG with the most albums in the top 60 most liked Girl group albums on Melon (Korea's most used music platform). Number 1 being RV's Red Summer.
15/60 are from RV.
Thing is their title track might not be everyone's cup of tea (tho the production is always top tier) but the albums are always good. There's always going to be songs you will like.

Regarding the sample you guys recognized in Marionnette, yes! apparently it is from the Nutcracker. I saw several luvies in twitter commenting that they sampled "dance of the sugar plum fairy" by Tchaikovsky. I think it is impressive how you guys pay so much attention to the references in red velvet's songs. As a musical references enthusiast I really appreciate it. Also, imressive, because not everyone is able to recognize these subtleties in the production. Red Velvet songs are full of easter eggs!

So sorry I'm late you can thank school for that but that's okay, I am so glad that you guys reacted to more B - Sides but I will say I was real disappointed when I saw that In My Dreams was not in here (I'm sad about a lot of songs that you guys missed) I seriously hope that you guys react to more because every B - Side is AMAZING!
