George Harrison had a G6119, not a G5120
George and Paul lead guitar together - different octaves
@@ABCFORKIDSCOMEDIAN1998 maybe he was on a tight budget at that time 😆
@@user-lc5ph5lq8x exactly, I was just about to say that.
There's something about Ringo's drumming here that is just so awesome!
Open ride?
Yes!
@@itamarbushari88 open hi-hat.
Ringo is am excellent Drum Composer
This song brings me back to my 7th grade year, I used to listen to this song on repeat before school. This was only 7 years ago for me but whatever.
seems to be a simple song for a singer, but... everything macca sings became gold
It’s simple but somehow brilliant
John's piano holding the song together, that's my boy. Solid drumming. Love Paul's vocals here too. One of my favorite lyrics of his. A hidden gem. I always remember the boys freezing their asses off miming this in Help! 😂
I've always loved this song. This reminds me of how I heard it the first time in 65. The freshness, the beauty of the melody, the harmonies.... great
me too! so underrated!
wow, yes. Mine was 1979ish
when my sister had borrowed HELP and Pepper from one of her friends, for about 3 weeks (= a long time in those days ;) ). I feasted upon them both!
Thought how this was one of the stand-out racks, so -as you say, bright, fresh, excellent melody sung with real force, [enthusiasm] ; and -of course G + J's harmonies!
The video for the song of them doing it outside is very good
Another one of Help!'s underrated gems
Well it's in the movie with an explotion on the ending.
Not Underrated
@@mario486waluigi2 It's so underrated. No one EVER mentions it.
@@loosilu well I'll mention it. It's one of my most favorite Beatles songs. One of the greatest openings with the build up.
06:41 Paul's Guitar Solo
Paul and george
Well Paul's and George's Guitar Solo
The very beginning of the drum tracks reminds me of "If you've got troubles", probably been recorded at the same session.
Good catch. Despite the similarity, The Night Before has a lighter touch all around whereas If You've Got Troubles feels like it's going to collapse under its own weight.
great hearing skill! the equalization - every time it exist any little ifference - prevent us to make any mistake about it.
Paul’s vocals here are just SO GOODDDDD godtier
I think i am off my rocker, but i always hears Ringo as main voice in the backing vocals 😂
That great Ringo swing!
07:12 JOHN KILLING THE PIANET !! LOVE IT
My fav part of the movie Help. Esp when Paul goes upside down. I thought it was the absolutely the coolest thing I ever saw when I was a kid. Still do.
This is just a really good pop song. Well constructed
Brilliant! what a band what a song what a everything
Just another perfect pop song....
Personally, I expect no less from the Beatles.
f*ckin' AMAZING song I have always felt-thought! Macca gives it some Wellie - must have been difficult to keep up -doing it it in how many takes!? But Great Soul Song, Paulie!
So good!
Actually, Paul and George are both playing the solo in octaves
A favorite! Classic Beatles!
Gotta love those drums💖💖💖
Fantastic song, from the album that for me is the best of the Beatles. 1965, Top of the World. There is a live recording on the BBC in May 1965.
About this song. In his Book, révolution in the head, the author say Paul's voice seems tired. And you guys? I like his rapsy voice!
I think liked his voice raspy too. That’s why he took so many takes to record Oh! Darling
Thanks M.
George played 6119 Tennessean based on George Martin’s session notes
George and Paul played together
Yeah! Paul on Casino, George on Gretsch together
Recorded 17.2.1965
Very good
I wish the Electric piano wasn't so buried in the mix
thank you
Nice! Would love to hear deconstructed Listen to What the Man Said!
Recorded 17.02.1965
Macca!
I like the snare sound
Always tuned to the song.
Were you able to isolate these tracks from the finished version of the song or did these come already isolated from the original recording tapes?
no original tracks
The bass line is very similar to help’s bass line
wow - had to look it up just cause your comment - and you're quite right - they are in fact quite similar to each other
nice catch tho
Didn't Paul play his Fender Esquire?
Paul got his Esquire Tele early 1967
only LSD may conceive such a masterpiece
interesting that you say that because none of the Beatles had taken LSD until a year after this recording.
@@juliosanchez8263 Agreed. But the Beatles were into smoking weed during the filming of HELP! which began filming in Feb 1965. They were "introduced" to it by Bob Dylan in August 1964. And Harrison seemed to recall that they had tried it a couple of years before the Dylan Smoke Fest. The first Beatles to have an LSD trip was John and George in the spring of 1965. I'm not sure when The Night Before was first written, but presumably it was when Paul was involved with Jane Asher. The song was recorded in Feb 1965, so, that would've been before any of the Beatles had experienced LSD. Paul didn't try it until later, about Dec 1965. So, LSD didn't play a part in the composing of The Night Before. I think it's fair to say, The Beatles were simply becoming more skilled and creative with their songwriting abilities. And I think it's fair to say that George Martin played a major role in the production of their music.
I've got to wonder, has Paul ever played The Night Before in concert? Does anybody know?
ruclips.net/video/khvFLjG9uIo/видео.html
Thanks so much for the quick reply and link. Yes, he did and it was great! I've seen Paul in concert several times and never heard this, one of my favorites.
This is actually right at the top of Paul's normal singing voice before he goes into super human mode
Why is the bass so distorted on all these?
idk
How you did this? :0
audadity
I never noticed the chord mistake @7:28 on the Pianet
Lennon's piano work here is a disaster, no offense to anyone
@@DLD2Music It's amazing that they got as much done as they did...Concerts, press conferences, writing, recording songs, filming their scenes. Sometimes all in the same day! Keep in mind also, that this was during the time that Zimmerman (aka Bob Dylan) introduced them to pot.
I always thought that was deliberate
@@raymondmorley3396 and a Dentist introduced them to LSD
This solo is by George , not by Paul.
both
I guess a cleaner separation wasn’t possible.
is the best there is on YT
@@DLD2Music definitely is! Fantastic work once again, Mr. DLD2 Music! Very grateful for your videos. An immense help in analyzing the Beatles’ production, composition, and finding new hidden details in the music
In english you say rhythm guitar, electric rhythmic guitar doesn't exist...
eres hispano, no?
@@DLD2Music that's you my bolivian fellow
@@PeterNash99Fake, im Argentine
One of my least favorite Beatle's tunes that has me reaching for the dial in the car. Why didn't he just give this to the Monkees?
Boooo
Because it's an awesome soooong!
