The amount of dsp for that is insane. There is a reason a pog costs so much and pitch shifting real time in a computer is weak at best. That said a tone x with twice the dsp would be great.
@@JimijaymesProductions I may be wrong the reason standalone devices like the POG handle real time pitch shifting much better than say a PC is down to the fact that the DSP chip in a standalone device is doing the pitch shifting process and nothing else. A PC for example is doing background processes even when you don’t think it is. A tonex with 2 chipsets would be massive. You’d get polyphonic pitch shifting if you wanted, or the ability to run multiple captures simultaneously
Nice playing. I'm looking forward to this upgrade. I've got the pedal and tonex max dirt cheap so everything extra is a bonus. It already used this platform daily and because of you I was able to dail it in properly. I also read somewhere that a live editor will be added in the near future. Nice. Tonex is getting mature and for the price in comparison with other devices it's a steal IMHO. Thanks for the good work on Tonex
Sounds great! Jason, since ToneX runs mono amp tone models, and the DSP is available to run stereo FX, I’d love to see the ability to run 2 amp tone models (dual amp setup) perhaps instead of FX to save on DSP - people buy 2x ToneX pedals to achieve this, but feels like it should be possible from one pedal. Do you think IKM might bring this in future?
Hi there! thx for this beautiful review, great as always, When I use my HX Stomp XL for usb recording, the input 5 Dry signal is super very low, is that normal, Also the guitar sound coming out of the HX Stomp XL USB 1 and 2 is a lot low compared to the rest of the mix in Cubase. Any help would be appreciated. I use Tonex Pedal in the effect loop so I can't have a dry signal sent to my audio interface.TIA!
Do these models permanently exist in the anniversary edition? Meaning if I do a factory reset are these 150 models restored? The issue is I am afraid to move my purchased models into the pedal and lose the cool presets. The wrecked Z models are stunning BTW.
Hi Jason, do you know why there isn't a block for an overdrive in the Tonex pedal? I would think that some people would like to run different OD's with the amp models. I appreciate your input. I bought the white Tonex pedal the day it was announced, I can't wait to get it. 🙂
Awesome, I hope you enjoy the White pedal, it is really nice :-) Unfortunately, Tonex Pedal simply does not have enough processing power to run two tone models simultaneously. They were able to max out the processing by adding FX, but even without the FX there is not enough juice for two tone models. Hope that helps :-)
Because as od emulation it would sound like shit unless its another capture running at the same time, which the tonex clearly doesnt have the power run. Just buy a tonex one.,the OD pedal you want or mix your amp+cab capture with an od capture to run everything from the tonex in a single capture. You have plenty of choices.
Great Sounds!! I hope that tones are going to be available also for the people that already bought Tonex..if not where can i get these tones?? specially the ones on this video??

For sure ... at least on the tonex pedal and the app ... unfortunately not on the tonex one as far as i know ... missed opportunity imo ... but understandable that they want to have kind of a gradation in their products
The extra $50 is worth all the paid presets youre getting. Tonex is a bargain. The cheapest kemper you can get is $750. All the other options that can run captures are $1500 +
@fincito The alternatives then could be 500 more. You just gotta realize that any other device on the market that can play captures is in the thousands of dollars. The tonex is significantly, multiple times less expensive than it's competition. So when you say it's too expensive it's just a wild statement
@@N4SixStringI'm not bashing the Tonex but this special edition is too expensive. Also, the Ampero II and Nano Cortex are not thousands of dollars more....

That spring reverb 4 sounds phenomenal. What a relief! The previous spring reverb algorithms were certainly lacking....
I hope TONEX give us a transpose/ pitch shifting effect this would put them over all competition they’d be unbeatable at their price point
It would be a dream come true but I don’t think the device will have enough DSP power available to make it worthwhile…

Can they add vibrato in modulation effects? Like a switch in chorus if not separate FX

Can all blocks in the new FX chain be enabled concurrently?
Is or will the "Anniversary Amp Pack" be separately later for regular pedal owners?
It will likely be available at some point in the future, but I don't have any details on exactly when :-)
