Ymir had human like shape and proportions to her body, so she was able to move like a person would. Rod Reiss had a far bigger body and a shape that wasn't similar to a human. And another reason he didn't walk was because his legs werent like a humans, they looked more like... The cart titan? I guess his ribs are used like centipede legs to support his giant spine.
And the spinal fluid is the core of all Titan powers. Maybe it's symbolic for that Eren has now the founder on his side, the very core, the biggest spine.

@@useristaken objects 2x taller are 4x bigger and 8x heavier. Any land creature larger than the biggest dinosaurs would get crushed by its own weight.
They explained this all the way back in se 2 for people that actually care to listen , titans are way less dense than animals that's why they can get away with being so big , not to mention specific adaptations to sustain that weight
