I have been looking for this song for over ten years now. The only thing I had to go on was the the guitar riff. I didn't remember any of the lyrics. I had no idea what band played it and I couldn't remember the year it came out. All I knew was there was a girl doing the lyrics. So I've been listening to every single song ever made in the 90's by a band with any female vocalists. My long long LONG search is finally over. This is it. You've done it internet. This is the last unsolved mystery that was bouncing around in my brain that you hadn't solved yet. Today I won the internet. This is an amazing feeling.
Happy for you! I hate when you have only a melody to go on when you're searching for a song. Today was the first time I heard this song, and I think it's awesome. Yay for Internet indeed.
my mom told me that she performed this song in her campus with her friends. her campus loved it very much and it was crazy. and she was a big fan of Elastica back in day until now maybe, because when i told her I'm a fan of Elastica she's really happy
Riding on any wave That is the luck you crave They don't believe it now They just think it's stupid So got anything? Anyone could have done Who would've cared at all Not you Another heart has made the trade Forget it, forget it, forget it I don't understand how a heart is a spade But somehow the vital connection is made Riding on anything Anything's good enough Who would've thought it of Someone like you Just as they brought me 'round Now that they brought you down Roundabout and roundabout Who wants a life anyway? Another heart has made the grade Forget it, forget it, forget it I don't understand how the last card is played But somehow the vital connection is made
_The song was the subject of controversy due to its overt similarity to another band's work. The intro synthesizer part (later repeated as a guitar figure) is lifted from the guitar riff in Wire's "Three Girl Rhumba" and transposed down a semitone. A judgment resulted in an out-of-court settlement and the credits were rewritten."_ ~ Wikipedia

Elastica could have at least mentioned them in the liner notes or something. It happens to the best.. Dire Straits had to give Sting co-credit on Money For Nothing.

I remember a time in the 90’s when this song was everywhere...
Even saw it played during a fashion runaway event on TV once.
Lmao
Would hear this song on HFS (DC) back in the 90's, killer catchy and edgy. Watch "Captain Marvel" trailer 3: Get ready for a comeback!
“Grunge is a good look for you”

Solid band ,very under rated.
What an album this one was. I have it in vinyl, but who has the time to listen to vinyl these days...
Lol what? How much tome does it take to put a record on?
This song is on the soundtrack of my life; I especially enjoy the commentary Beavis & Butt-Head gave this video.

Not you
Another heart has made the trade
Forget it, forget it, forget it

Authentic r ock and roll in the 90's. Only a few groups pulled that off in the mainstream....
Ah memories of Trigger-Happy TV...
That show definitely had its moments.

RENAULT SCENIC
This song is a rip off of Three Girl Rhumba by Wire. Wire actually sued them and won. ^.^
+Nigel Robles Both are great songs. Music is evolution. I love wire to death, but wish they wouldn't have sued.
Elastica could have at least mentioned them in the liner notes or something. It happens to the best.. Dire Straits had to give Sting co-credit on Money For Nothing.
That's because it was Sting's voice on Money For Nothing. He did it to snub MTV.
I have to admit it, Beavis and Butt Head brought me here.
Beavis and Butt-head brought me here, uh huh huh huh huh
I came here from the FNAF movie but am too embarrassed to admit it.
