    Have you found out why the second led is not lit? It came like this from the box?

      Unfortunately not, there is no singe live wire version of the M5. At least not yet.

    Hello!
    Azt meg tudod mondani, hogy a magyarországon használatos sorolható 65-ös dobozokkal melyik verzió kompatibilis? Az M5-80 vagy az M5-86? Köszönöm.

    Thanks for covering this. I really love looking at switches and buttons and knobs. Still I have to make my own wall control panel UNTIL someone brings out a PoE (data only) light switch panel with a lovely rotary knob... unless you know anyone has made this?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  2 года назад

      Not really. The really nice ones are usually Zigbee. The ones I have seen so far.

    • @MatSmithLondon
      @MatSmithLondon 2 года назад

      @@csongorvarga I was going to consider hacking a very nice Zigbee one, to step down 24V passive PoE to 3V and connect to the battery terminal - a bit nasty, but if it works, it works - and it would look nice...

      @@MatSmithLondon Yeah, why not. I am using mini DC-DC converters to generate 5V or 3.3V. They are small, and don't generate heat. I think it is easy to do.

    Hi. Thank You for the video. Did You try switching Off the 'Network Indicator' button on the app & see if the Red active light shows up as the second button?

    Hi I'm a little confused your heading is WiFi Switch but you only seem to show and speak of Bluetooth. Does the device not have standalone WiFi

    Can you use it for roller blinds control?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  Год назад

      Yes, with the interlock mode it would be good with roller blinds, because it can only switch either up or down outputs.

      @csongorvarga  Год назад

      @@macarows4014 You go into the settings in the app, and there is an interlock mode. You just need to enable it and that's it.

    i setup my M5 switch to a smart bulb that runs on zigbee. Upon pairing, it works normally. However after 1 day, I can no longer turn the bulb on even though the app says Channel ON. I will need to take out the plastic cover and put it back again and it works for another day. Does anyone experience this before. It happens with all my 30 M5 switches.

      You can create a scene that triggers when you click the button. Or that scene can also trigger another one.

    My entire home is using the TX model. Do you know if the M5 can swap in easily?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  2 года назад

      Yes, essentially it has the same connections. Unless you have the single live wire version of the TX

    I saw I review on the itead website that these don't natively fit in standaard EU boxes. Can anyone confirm?

    • @tremichl
      @tremichl 2 года назад +1

      Can confirm! EU standard box meeting DIN49073 has a mounting opening of 60mm. Sonoff M5 has a diameter of more than 62mm and does definitely NOT fit

    Can I use these in US?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  Год назад

      Yes sure. Check because Sonoff has US version from most of their smart switches, which are not square-ish, but more the taller rectangular shape to better match the typical US switches.

      @Linda I just checked for you and it says 100-240V so it will work on the US 120V as well. I think internally the US and EU models are the same.

    I would avoid this model. I recently purchased two and both have issues - they randomly become unresponsive; they need a power cut to restart. Support is a joke. Cheap products becoming popular…
