When a contestant finished his/her/their scoreboard early in the second round of this show, the following filled in the remaining time gap: Season 1: Lew hung out around the city asking other people questions. Season 2: The winning contestant moved onto the University Round which was similar to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire except without lifelines. Season 3: Robb sat with the audience and asked members questions and rewarded them with a prize (e.g., a Make the Grade shirt) for answering a question right. However, there came at least one time when a contestant finished a scoreboard so early (meaning in the first round or immediately after the beginning of the second round if that happened more than once) that a different set of contestants would play in the second round.
I would like to see a reboot of mtg, but with round one starting with four contestants having to fill in three subjects to be one of three to make it to round two. I’m up in the air on the fire drill, but I’d keep the “free”, “take” and “lose” wildcards. Maybe add a “prize” card!
I wish that in the Schneider episode where those 2 players who made the grade in 1 round won an extra grand in the honors round cause if they had the university round where a player can win a grand I don't see why those 2 who made the grade in 1 round can't play for an extra grand too.
Y'know, I was instantly impressed when I first heard the name "Encyclopedia Brittanica" way back when. It just sounded like it was made by a bunch of smart people, and maybe somewhere far away from where I lived. I was kinda surprised to learn it was actually made in the USA, and had shut down some time ago, supposedly because it couldn't keep up with the Internet for people's information access needs. Which is really freaking weird considering I remember one of their biggest products being a CD-Rom version of their encyclopedia I used for research on a school assignment one time. They really couldn't be bothered to make a deal with Dictionary.com or something like that to take their brand into the next century?
The Internet has killed a lot of businesses. Sears and JC Penney were basically the Amazon of the pre-Internet age. But Sears Holdings, including Kmart, use the Internet fore little more than advertising their in-store offerings, and JC Penney has too many competitors. Now, Walmart is what Sears/Kmart should have been in the first place. A nearby city of about 15,000 residents has a Walmart that's almost 4 acres, and that's just the building!
silly children acting similar to something in wrestling still had that cartoonish directv then on smackdown live as raw is war 1999 that's where wwe began going nowhere like the wcw since though gosh
Joey McIntyre was my favorites also. I had his doll!
This particular recording must be from early 1991, based on the MTG bumper (which uses the Morris set and buzz-in sound).

I saw that episode when that one person cleared the board so fast they just got 3 new players!
Is this the only time a player won the University round?
