Very nice demonstration. I have a Yamaha Mixer I quite like. I heard another reviewer say years ago that Performing Bands especially like Yamaha Pro Loudspeakers because they are more versatile with EQ & such. I can hear the same with these. A nice EQ would be fun to play with as well as the room acoustics. Surely a safe choice & good bet & spending ones $$$.
It’s good to see real world examples (although there are no people in the venue which has a significant effect on the sound as we all know), so plenty of props for that bro. I have the set below yours (DSR115/DXS18) and currently scoping out the DZR12 to replace my old , but trusty, Turbosound TQ 445dp. Have always thought about the DZR15 but have heard mixed views on how much of a step up is it really from the DSR? In my view/experience however, having the speakers in front of a stage, can result in loss of some of the sound, due to acoustics, behind you and into the recess. I would normally, subject to other factors such as location of doors/fire exits etc, put the speakers in the corner to gain extra bass, volume and direction from the walls. I would centre cluster the bins to benefit from the coupling effect. Notwithstanding, I do find that rooms with a curved roof benefits the sound and you get more throw due to the physics (I was in a fairly similar shaped room on Saturday- although it had other challenges). Anyway, took advantage of being stimulated by your video. Keep up the good work. Btw, where in the UK are you (in general) I’m in North London?
@@manchah1 cheers bro very much appreciated 🙏 These test's I do are real life I really have no idea how it'll pan out you can only go so far looking at the data sheet and applying tricks you've picked up along the way to help get the most out of a setup. As you mentioned putting subs against a wall/corner channelling all that pressure in one direction towards the dance floor and running a delay if mid high are ahead to keep everything all in phase. But sometimes the layout of the venue doesn't allow for best speaker management. The dsr15 were good then came along the dzr15 I have used them in a large venue and pretty much full and they done alright obviously a dedicated sub aswell would of been even better but you've got to look at what your using and how well/not it does the job like in this case.
@@colinmobiledisco8661 great talk, as you say, you learn so much from various venues, layout, room shapes, surface materials etc. I like the fact that you experiment with different speaker set up’s, all adds to the experience. Keep up the good work. I’m picking up some good tips and ideas from you. Take care, manchah1 (aka DJMikeyJ)
@@manchah1 Thanks DJ Mikey J 🙏 I'm glad I've been able to help you and others, your right there are so many impacting factors to consider within a venue and then to get the best out of a system at the same time making it all look good.
I’m looking to get the dzr10’s due to the size and my vehicle, also looking to pair them with 2 QSC 12” subs. But still debating on the 12” dzr’s also.
If transportation is an issue for you consider the fbt ventis 206a along with the qsc subs these speaker are ridiculously loud I wouldn't use them on their own but when used with a sub and set correctly omg and the size they are bloody small but pack a hell of a punch. Check out my last vlog
DZR15 vs DXR15 ? I have a pair of DXR15 with 2 x DXS15 subs and love them. Playing music in a big hall like this need more boom. Music sounds flat and boring with no subs imo.
Agree with you 💯% I have a bad back hence why carrying subs isn't a option at the moment. I also have the dxs18xlf and the dzr315 for the really big halls that'll require 2 men.

HI first thank you for sharing this, but your microphone did no good to the sound. We couldn't really hear the difference which I'm sure you could in the real situation. I've just ordered them myself, and I hope I'm gonna be happy with them.
It's really hard to appreciate just how good they sound and the difference between the presets, due to compression and youtube conversion, but I'm very happy with them and the venue I done the test in is very big and they didn't dissapoint there're pro speakers and you won't be gutted. When you get them and use them let me know your opinion

Nice video! Do you have a subwoofer? A sub will save those Yamahas from over working.
