► Varanasi's Popular Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple
Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple is a Hindu temple devoted to the Hindu God Hanuman located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. The temple, which was built on the banks of the Assi river by the famed Hindu preacher and poet saint Sri Goswami Tulsidas in the early 16th century, is dedicated to the memory of the saint. The god was given the name "Sankat Mochan," which translates as "reliever from troubles."
Throughout the temple, gifts to Lord Hanuman (known as Prasad) are sold, such as the popular sweet "besan ke ladoo," which is enjoyed by the devotees. The idol is also adorned with a lovely marigold flower garland, which is a nice touch. This temple has the distinction of having Lord Hanuman facing his Lord, Rama, whom he adored with unwavering and selfless love, a feature that is unique to this temple.

श्री संकट मोचन हनुमान मंदिर एक हिंदू मंदिर है जो वाराणसी, उत्तर प्रदेश, भारत में स्थित हिंदू भगवान हनुमान को समर्पित है। 16वीं शताब्दी की शुरुआत में प्रसिद्ध हिंदू उपदेशक और कवि संत श्री गोस्वामी तुलसीदास द्वारा अस्सी नदी के तट पर बनाया गया यह मंदिर संत की स्मृति को समर्पित है। भगवान को "संकट मोचन" नाम दिया गया था, जिसका अनुवाद "परेशानियों से राहत" के रूप में किया जाता है।
