One of my favorites!!! I spent a long time looking for this song and this was before youtube. I just remember this song with a trumpet solo from when I was about 8 years old. I kept describing it to my mom and others and just couldn't figure it out. It came to me one day that the voice I remember sounded like Charlie Wilson(remember I hadn't heard this song since I was a kid). There was this music store with a cool look up computer and I tried it and went through all the Gap Band albums it even played a snippet of each song and I went crazy when I found it! The store worker of course thought I was crazy and I said you just don't know I've been trying to find this song for years.

My parents owned 2 Record stores in the 70's & 80's so we spent a lot of time Listening to music in our family. ..... Me & My brother use to go to a 3 story building in the early 90's on the outskirts of Georgetown in Washington DC Called TOWER records and spend 4-5 hours just going through music. ... We'd spend 3/4 hundred dollars every month. lol ... Fun days at there Record store.

I looked for this song on ITunes and the album never showed. It would only show on You Tube. I always remembered this song because a band member at Tennessee State always played it. It was one of the prettiest instrumentals and when I heard the song by Gap Band I was in love!!

He hid it from me,and thank God my Great Aunt saw his obituary in the papers. Barely made it to the funeral to say goodbye. This song brings happy & sad tears. But I love it.
This is my song!! When I was about 20 years old, I went to a cabaret and this song was playing real loud. I was hanging out with friends and I had a crush on my friend, but he did not know it. Eventually we become involved and every time I here this song. I think of him and that was 30 years ago. Charlie Wilson is one of the best male singers ever and I love him. My daughter and I are going to a mother's day concert and Charlie Wilson will be performing. I cannot wait!!!!
