Such fitting music as you descend into the deep, dark, and terrifying depths of those tunnels. The peak at 5:47 really helped pump me up and make me determined to keep going and beat this level.
The Lair of the Blind Ones.... Little is known of this mysterious race. Legends tell of ghostly figures emerging at night from underground and dragging hapless victims to their doom. Though they do not possess the power of sight, the Blind Ones are hardly helpless. They can hear the beat of a heart and smell the blood of an intruder from a great distance. Attacking with primitive brutality and a lust for warm blood, they have lived for countless centuries deep beneath the surface of the Lost Land....
Speaking as an arachnophobe, Lair of the Blind Ones was my Vietnam. Even now some twenty odd years later, listening to this tune gives me PTSD flashbacks.
@@CMCFLYYY How rough you are. I find that the beat of the music is quite subtle, reaching to simulate the feeling of an endless descent in this huge cave that touches the heart of the earth, full of scary and dangerous creatures. Then the "angry" part of the song at 05:45, immersing myself in all the noble brutality of this region of the Lost Lands, in which nothing has moved for centuries. This level brings an incredible charm to the story of Turok and it's probably one of the best video game caves of its time.
me now: Holy shit this is some expert buildup. Really amazing. me remembering what I used to think of it as a kid: "holy shit, holy shit. holy shit. I'm going to die down here this is crazy! Please let me make it. Please please please AAAHHHH! Me again: Oh yeah. Wow this shit stuck deep.
I never liked this level. I can beat all the other levels in no time without any type of guide, but it's a total MAZE to complete all the objectives here. Fun fact: The Blind Ones are actually distant cousins of the Oblivion (Flesh Eaters) enemies, so it's no wonder why they attack so similarly. And try using the Sun Pod on them.

Fitting music for a level where you go deeper and deeper through a violent savage cavern system.
agree, those fucking cyclops!

I feel you.
For me since i'm really afraid of bugs like roaches, it was the Mantid Hives, i feel you dude
@@walidzarrad7623yup, not fond of spiders either frankly, this level can die
I personally found this level one of the most enjoyable, BECAUSE it was so damn difficult. classic game all around
I played it as a kid and got lost all the time, by running in circles, until i found the switch or what one of them does haha
Oh absolutely, but waiting for that transition at the end of the track for this level made it worth it.
Freaking master class on the art of the build up.
One of the best levels of Turok 2, you can really feel in it all the wilderness of the Lost Land, even through music, especially at 5:45
I get the opposite - no feelings of wilderness, it sounds like Goldeneye Streets or something. Didn't seem to match the Turok theme at all IMO.

Darren Mitchell is the master of telling a story throughout one entire track.
Love the building crescendo, exactly like the level itself, which traumatized me as a kid.
is there damage left in your daily life now, or all oK?
The water temple of tur0k 😂

It was so intense.
5:50 Oh this is new. I guess this is what I missed out on from only ever getting this far on the PC version.
The best scifi shooter of all time, a true masterpiece.
the sound, the atmosphere, the guns, the exploring, the level design, my favourite FPS single player campaign of all time.
@@barsam2aReally? Even better than the Doom games?
@@LordMalice6d9 Turok 2? for my taste, yes.
though DOOM 2016 is a great game.
I don't like Doom Eternal though, too colourful, chaotic.
This Level Theme and the Primagens Lightship Theme are the best!
I love this track the way it builds up is brilliant
This level was creepy! But very epic, the build up of music as you go deeper and deeper was insane too, best shooter ever tbh
Funny this is where you find the sun pods
Yeah, unfortunately, without cheats. They don't show up very often.
@@LITTLE1994 I literally couldn't find more then like 6 sun pods the rest of the game even at those infinite spawn points it wouldn't spawn sun pods
Where you find them and the only place they're useful
This was always one of my favorites.
That last transition at 6:40 tho 🔥
This is my favourite track from Turok 2. So mysterious yet intense 😁
ugh this song is so dope I wanna see it live
It’s the transition at 5:45 for me sheesh 🔥
5:06 YES!
POV: You are exploring Kola Superdeep Borehole.
whoever liked this level, never got lost...lol

It is actualy a maze! I love to play the entire game at 12 years old.
'Oh God, NATURAL LIIIIIGHT! (dies)'
Hive of the Mantids was harder for me
Perfect cave music
me encanta
3:59 yells you that something fu** huge is about to happen to you.
And thats how he started his first base . . Un the. Listo Lans
The terror itself
New Turok was as all before the campaigner
BEWAREOBLIVIONISATHAND
This level plus the music, used to give me the creeps.....! I was 14....The name itself was utterly creepy! The Lair of the blind ones....
