"A Nightmare on Elm Street" is one of those horror movies that aged like fine wine or milk, depending on the scene. Seeing the dummy get yanked through the window is hilariously bad, but the bed and blood scene is a classic. I unironically love the movie, faults and all.
Not to mention the low-budget solution for the "Looming over Nancy in bed" scene - they just pulled a bedsheet taut. Compare that to the remake which used CGI and wound up looking awful, and it's astounding what the right lighting and techniques can do!
Fun fact, Freddy was a guest character for Mortal Kombat 9, and Jason was a guess character for Mortal Kombat 10. So modding Freddy into Mortal Kombat 10 will give us the Freddy vs. Jason experience. At least we have Alien vs Predator in the base game.
Johnny Depp was the boyfriend in the first one. That is what the Mordecai and "pirate swagger" references are about. It was his breakout movie role and he took it to distance himself as the pretty boy image he had at the time from his TV roles.
@@theduckgoesmoo whatever Freddy The Springwood Slasher/The Bastard Son of 100 Maniacs turned Supernatural Dream Demon Krueger did 2 kill Glen Lantz near the end of this Film you're probably best/better off not knowing based on judging by the amount of blood that literally came flying out of Glen's bed reaching the ceiling of Glen's bedroom without Glen's body/corpse!
- NoES was my first legit horror movie and horror franchise. Back in the days of RUclips where you could watch movies uploaded into parts - 4:00 Glen's played by Johnny Depp. In his first ever movie role.
Krueger’s victims from when he was human included our four teens older siblings according to a deleted/cut portion of the basement scene with Nancy and her mother, Freddy is also implicitly a predator in the original movies.
7:15 Whenever his jaw drops like that. It always reminds me of AVGN when it cuts back to him after some gaming nonsense. One example of the nerd’s face doing is the review of Indiana Jones.
I haven't seen many of these films but out of the ones I have, Nancy (the main character of the first film) is my favorite character. As far as I'm aware she doesn't have any supernatural abilities of her own and relies solely on her wits and knowledge she obtains from her personal experiences. It's really cool! She's like a hero from a survival horror video game!
When you're done with Haunting of Hill House, jump into Midnight Mass or Fall of the House of Usher, both also by Mike Flanagan, who may as well be given the title of 21st Century King of Horror.
But yeah, originally, Kreuger was going to be an explicit child molester, something only implied in the original movies. In the remake, he is both molester and murderer
About the what’s your favorite scary movie videos. James has done videos where he got interviews with many people like Mat Pat, Rhett from Rhett and Link, and many WWE superstars to talk about their favorite scary movie. No need to watch them or do reactions, just wanted to point this out.
Things like the rotating room for the wall climb and the upside down room for the blood geyser are the timeless results of when movie makers had to get creative to make the effects instead of just slapping CG everywhere like movies these days.

Fun Fact: Heather Langenkamp, Nancy's actress, was the reverend for James and Chelsea's wedding.
How does that even happen
@@theduckgoesmoothat was actually a thing in January 2022, and it was super awesome!
@@theduckgoesmoo I think they meet at a convention and became friends.
To describe Freddy Kreuger's abilities, it's basically the saying, "If you die in your dreams, you die in real life."
When watching the first one especially, you can see where Stranger Things got the inspired by the Barb and Nancy story.
12:50 Love to thank Johnny Depp for a memorable death in his first ever film appearance.
And it’s a bed

You still CAN watch movies uploaded into parts, albeit often with pitch changes and such
Fun fact, this was one of Johnny Depp's first rolee

I really wish I could do his videos
Oh boy, This is the series I've been waiting for.
4:30 Movie: "So what's going on here? No orgy or something?"
Duck: "There's 3 people"
Well, 4 now that the jock trope has arrived.

Freddy Krueger, the ultimate gaslighter.
This is all the stuff you're missing out on cause you refuse to have dreams
How does one sleep
all right now you Know the jumscares invite kirby to react and we all can enjoy watching her scream a lot
fun fact Glen was johnny depps first role
@duck goes moo, Glen was played by a young Johnny Depp . I am serious that this is Johnny Depp .
My favorite Elm Street movie is probably the third one, it’s the best combination of creepy Freddy and goofy Freddy
I think the brain is so convince that real he rereate the damage receve during the dream
11:04: Kyle had a Markiplier ass reaction to that scene, lmao.

Before lord of the rings new line cinema was known as the studio freddy built.
The duck goes moo you should react to a night mare on elmstreet dream warriors kill count next
He will. He reacting to all kill count.
Could you react to all the vanoss gmod prop hunt videos and also all the vanoss gmod death run videos?
11:17 in the reboot Freddy Krueger is a child m*lester, tho that is set in its own continuity apparently
Well Freddy vs Jason (that is in canon with this movie) hints at that Freddy was doing that as well before the parents burnt him.

Hey Kyle, what would happen if Freddy Krueger is in your dreams how do you stop him
He doesn't have dreams.
I would think it’s real since I don’t have dreams
Y'know, sometimes I think YOU"RE a dream. 😁
It's a crime to comment more than one time unless you're replying which you are not😅....
