Neither did I! I find nowadays there're so many content creators i enjoy its hard to juggle them all in terms of their history and progress -- fantastic video!
i've always enjoyed this guy's content. it's always been janky, uncanny, unsettling, but it had a charm still. thank you for creating this video documenting the history of PilotRedSun
Not entirely PRS related but there's a channel called 'Friendly Bullet', which previously would reupload PRS tracks which weren't previously available on RUclips, and was the source of where I and many others discovered PRS from. They've since started uploading tracks of the same niche genre from similarly obscure artists, and has been a lovely way to discover more music similar to PRS's melancholic videogamey dnb/ambient style :) I love PilotRedSun, their animations all have a special place in my heart, I really enjoy their music and wacky nature, they're the kind of thing you're not sure if they actually exist or from you just remembering a dream. They've only been away from the channel for two years, I don't think it's dead or the end of the animations; like we all do, we inadvertantly leave projects behind to work on new things all the time without even realising it, but the old projects are never really 'done', we're always open to working on them again :) And I think it's probably the same for PRSs animations They're just having fun doing music at the moment, and Im sure they'll suprise us with an upload out of nowhere on the animations channel when they feel like they wanna do animations again. Just doing what they enjoy is the best way to work :)
This video actually helps me understand and keep track of how his discography is structured. Once you split his massive library of music into 4 ears it doesn't seem as daunting as before.
I'm glad I could be of assistance! There's actually a 5th ear (Michael Epler) that I didn't catch until I was wrapping up the editing, & that's what plays during the end credits. There were only 2 Michael tunes, though, & both were improvised.
Interesting to see the man behind the channel. Lot I didn't know about him, especially not his more recent music channel. I loved the music in his earlier animations and honestly look forward to digging through his music. Thanks for the upload
only discovered him a few weeks ago, watched every video. Very cool style that inspired me. What I learned is, he only uploads once a year lol, and he is probably on MDMA when he makes those videos. He also uses a few bizarre filters Ive never seen before
sick vid! love to see deep dives on stuff like this, i remember a friend in middle school showed me prs's pringles video and it stuck in my head for years. the thing he said about about animation composed of errors being mesmerizing is so accurate. subbed!
This video was amazing, i truly enjoy this persons work. Was great to see more things about him i didnt know about. Youre work here is also great, hope to see more things from you!
Great video! Very well researched. I sure hope he has yet to reach his peak though. I'm still waiting on that second album. ;Þ At the very least, I like to imagine that he is a ghostwriter for a hugely popular music artist. ':D
Quite funny how he used to be an inspiration of mine before I decided to take more influence from cboyardee and swee neezy. What's even more hilarious is that I'm only 3 hours away from his residence (I'm from Central Valley). Anyways he's a great artist and a great musician, but personally I would love a nice well researched video on Cboyardee. If it wasn't for his surrealist dilbert series, I feel like Pilotredsun wouldn't be here showing off his animated works, but great video, overall.
I've considered it in the past, but due to the earlier time of CBoyardee's career (as well as the deletion of his channel), it would be harder to do research for it. I'll have to see how I feel.
@@penneh1337 Yeah I seen it, but the video is just a bit outdated in my opinion. Since you read my original comment, during mid 2020s I went out and tired to search for some cboy vids out in the wild. I never found a single video sadly, but I discovered some new information about cboyardee and his activity on the internet while on the search. Helps explain a few things that weren't mentioned in the original Capitan Sliver vid. Maybe I could email some of this information to legomanic856 so he can write it into a script or something.
This was a pretty great video! I feel like you should also give a review of Nicholas Federov's works. He has made stuff quite similar to PilotRedSun and another guy named AndyWilson92, who im actually subscribed to (although Federov has a pretty unique style of his own) and I've only seen one video talking about the guy, the video being Chadtronic's first "deep into youtube" video. I think you should give it a shot, his videos are interesting to say the least, and you can find reuploads pretty easily (he deleted his channel as far as im aware)
@@85percentnation yeah hes pretty obscure even for weird side youtubers heres a channel that hosts a lot of his videos www.youtube.com/@nicholasfedorovreuploaded1471
I think I discovered his animations around 2015 or 16. Got hooked and I love everything this guy puts out there. He could start a cult, I know I'd follow him to my theoretical untimely demise.
@@85percentnation how about an octopus? I was also asking because I was interested in doing a small animation as a gift for one your newer videos if you would be interested?
Nick Flanagan doesn't exist, he's a meme we made up (just like his country "Canada" with some extensive worldbuilding).
Damn, well it's too late to correct it now!
Finally someone else who actually knows the truth, I've been telling people Canada isn't real for almost a decade and no one believes me.
thanks for saving me 13 minutes of my life!
I listen to pilotredsky almost every day. It's genuinely beautiful music.
Agreed.

Yeah, I saw that when I was looking through the Wayback Machine. That's what he calls the guy that's in the corner of the PilotRedSky vids now.
I’ve been a massive pilot fan since 2016, absolutely wonderful music, and massively intriguing art
I had no idea he was PokeRemixStudio PRS as well, his lore goes so insanely deep
