Most Canucks fans have no patience at all. One minute you’re the hero then you have a rough patch and they’re ready to trade you away for a song. It would be nice if we as fans would stick with the team through thick and thin more. But ya, glad Petey is back on track, baby! 💪
Stutzle is allowed to hit Hoglander into the boards head first and the Sens ends up with a powerplay, but when Hughes does the same thing but less dangerous he gets a match penalty… a win is a win though. Canucks were missing 4 star players too.
yeah cause as per rule if it causes an injury its a game misconduct, stutzles hit was just barely far enough to not hurt him thankfully. was dangerous for sure
The dirtiest play of this game was Stüzle’s hit on Höglander. The Senators lack of discipline is what cost them, they had all the momentum for the last 3 minutes and scored twice with the goalie pulled.
Hughes getting the gate was a massive blow for sure. But our problems right now are, we have no one to win crucial face offs without JT Miller in the lineup. Blueger and Joshua were getting cooked by Giroux all night and it nearly cost us those 2 points.
You’re being a drama queen. It was nowhere near a choke. Sens second goal was really unlucky. And they had an extra man for the third. They didn’t look like getting the equaliser, no matter how much scrabbling around to clear the puck.
@@glennhankins6927Any team would give up a goal or 2 when their goalie doesnt have his stick or facing a power play while missing 4 of their top 5 players.
This was such a feisty game, tempers flaring, etc. I was almost having a panic attack when Ottawa was close to tying the game, because watching the Canucks blow a 4-1 lead would be absolutely ridiculous. Kinda suprising we lost Miller, Demko, Boeser, and Hughes, our four stars, yet Canucks ended up winning. Congratulations to Sasson on his first NHL point BTW.
Any win missing our two best goal scorers, one of the best d man in the league, and a top 5 league goalie is worth celebrating. Good job to everyone else for stepping up.
Turnovers from Kleven & Chabot and Zub's penalty basically sum up another poor effort from the Sens. We have now lost 5 in a row something major needs to happen with this team to make them play better and next game against Calgary is a must win
@@bronzeandsteel3344 Sounds like it should be offsetting penalties then, although you shouldn’t penalize Hoglander for defending himself against a dirty play
Oh, I get it! An "empty net" is not a sign the losing team is forfeiting the game. It's like Earl's Halfway Deal in Skatoony: Earl will offer the contestant a certain number of points boosing that contestants total correct point score by a certain amount. But if the contestant accepts the point offer, then Earl must subtract a certain amount of time from the timer for that number of extra points granted. So here in Hockey, if you're within 3 points of the leading team, you can add an extra skater (center, offense, or defense man) - taking your total number of players up to 6 skaters. But if you accept this deal, then you must withdraw your main defender, the goalie, leaving your net open for the opposing team to score from anywhere on the ice.
Ottawa continues to be the Sabres of Canada. A promising looking hockey team that continues to disappoint every year. It's a long season so here's hoping that they can turn it around, but history would indicate the team has another early date with the golf clubs.
When the refs wanted Senators to win all night, but Ottawa can't deliver even when the Canucks are down most of their top performers. Typical Sens moment
I’ve been hearing Sens fans whining for years. Must be tough to swallow the fact that their team ain’t even THE team of Ontario. A degree of toxicity is permitted if you’re an Oilers fan as their team made it to the playoffs. But Sens? 😂😂😂
As a wings fan, I just want one of the wings, sens, or sabres to make the playoffs. I need a new team from the same 4 to spice up the playoffs for the Atlantic a little. Toronto vs Boston almost every year is getting old while a Florida team has made the finals for the past 4 straight seasons.
Problem is the wings/sabres/sens are kinda weak mid teams right now and showing no signs of getting better, if that changes they'll have a real shot of taking Boston out of the running currently, they're looking vulnerable these days.
Not great giving up the two late goals, but getting a victory on the road without Miller, Boeser, and Captain Quinn for the last 40 minutes is something I can live with.
I've got a serious question to ask, when it comes to uploading NHL game highlights, why are the videos from the Sportsnet channel get way more views than the ones uploaded from the official NHL channel?
Sherwood what a beauty
Pettersson finally looks like he wants to play for this team lately. Good to see.
Stepping up when we need him without Miller and Boeser.
He’s been killing it the last 7/8 games now. So glad to have him back

Soft call on Hughes, no call on Stutzle for hitting Hoglander from behind lol. Atrocious officiating tonight.
Yeah it certainly wasn’t good but we definitely benefited from it too.
Sherwood has been our best player all year.
After Quinn
Miller.

Watching Vancouver pass that puck around during the delayed penalty was comedy gold 😂
Sherwood , Debrusk and Pettersson were great today
Stepping up when we need them most
When things aren’t going well, play dirty. Classic Senators
And then lose anyway.
Worked for the bruins for years, now panthers do it as well, lol.

Taken from the Laffs playbook
@@emperoralvis6559 You missed Norris' face smashing into the boards when Hughes drilled him on the #9 ?
Almost choked this but a win is a win considering this was a Hughes-less Abbotsford Canucks team 💀

Sens are having their problems now so it wasnt surprising at all.
They have it in them.
debrusk and chief keef sherwood carried us (lankinen too)
Yeah they played a damn good game.
Good team effort; win is a win; go Vancouver Canucks.
The real highlite was listening to the SN ace team Cuthbert and Simpson. Gosh what an honor.
Can we please get Luke Gazdic off the intermission panel? He's so atrocious.

Soft call on Hughes… double minor at most
Agreed how was that a suspension
Agree. I was shocked that he got a major. Didn't look violent at all. Norris just got unlucky hitting the dasher.
Norris should get a penalty for acting
Same old story for the Sens year after year. So much optimism generated in the off-season gone a month before Christmas.uggggh.
FFS Sens. Play like that final 7 mns for a full 60 and no one stands a chance.

why did ottawa get a powerplay after that hoglander-stutzle incident?
Stutzle tackles Hoglander and gets a powerplay for it lmao

Hoglander drops the gloves and throws the first punch. TECHNICALLY means he incited.

I guess Hoglander should have pretended to be soccer player and layed on the ice writhing in pain? 🤔

Any other canucks fan had dread and heart-attack at 20 seconds left?
More like the last 5 min
I was at the game surrounded by sens fans and I wanted the Canucks to win
Without a couple of our big minutes guys on the ice tonight, Jake D'Brusk was able to be a little more noticeable
Sens needs to improve their D. Kleven and JBD are not ready for the NHL

Let's go EP40
Straight to Abbotsford.
Brady is a goon. The last thing we need is Dakota getting another injury.
Nice win Boys! Wasn’t the prettiest one but it’s a W.
Hockey Talk & Quick Saves, merci.

where's Miller? - injured? When Tkatchuk went after Joshua, I thought it was a stupid move but it turns out that he was waking his team up.
LOL! Yep, woke them up so they only lost by 1.

How did Brady "go after Joshua"? Joshua came at him after he checked another player.
