    “Man stands face to face with the irrational. He feels within him his longing for happiness and for reason. The absurd is born of this confrontation between the human need and the unreasonable silence of the world.” ― Albert Camus, The Myth of Sisyphus

    Among all the different philosophies I've come across, absurdism seems to be the most insightful. And that's mainly because it doesn't sugarcoat the reality of the world we're living in and human nature as a whole.
    When you truly internalize the point Camus was trying to make, you become much more open to other philosophies such as Buddhism and the art of letting go...

    I enjoy the absurd in that it's both insightful and mind opening, and hilarious. Once I started finding humor in the absurd, life became sillier and surreal, but much more serious after developing my own existential philosophy

    Camus, the father of absurdism, did not propose "escaping" the absurd, but confronting it -- and rebelling against it.

    This might be way off and I feel absurdism is because we are living in 2 worlds the physical world(that lives chaos) and the spirit world(that loves order) we must have both chaos and order so balance is both embracing absurdity and creating consistency. ❤

    Reality has reached a new level of absurdity in 2022. Maybe that`s what it takes to force a person to search for some kind on meaning to it.

    As I go into my mid 30s I have grown very drawn to Jung, while also becoming more absurdist in thought of things of the existential. I used to just be very nihilistic from my teens and on, and in some ways I still am, but my overall pondering is more like what I think Camus referred to as the heroic absurdist? Though I ultimately can't comprehend what the f*** anything is for, and why there's anything to be begin with, I still do that things I have to do to survive. But I do have days where I get stuck in a much darker mindset concerning it all. I think it just gets affected by my diagnosed depression. But then I think... *Shouldn't* I feel like this? Doesn't it make sense to feel this way? We're a blip in the vast timeline of this universe after all, right?
    It doesnt help that I've fallen in love with Lovecraft's stories within the past few years. Cosmicism has literally become yet another facet to my own brand of existentialism.

      There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.
      Soren Kierkegaard
      From this point of view I want to explain truth and miracles. Frederick Nietzsche did know the Bible very well. And he did speak the truth God is dead. Yet Nietzsche did not know God was dead. But that was the truth he needed to go on. To even think the Bible is real could cause a form of insanity. Possibly to agree that all Christians and those Bible and holy scriptures or possibly insane. Now let's take a look at suspending judgment. If 4A moment all these things are indeed true. The human race has a purpose. Just like nature. The reason why you may consider being insane is that we are in between Oblivion and eternal possibility. It is faith to believe Einstein's theory of relativity and string theory, go together to prove that there are spiritual possibilities. You have to forgive me because I'm uneducated. English is my second language I lost the ability to talk as a child. From what I said, take it from there. I only want you to have ideas. That's your job:-). Being depressed is pathetic. Do more than meditation. Do a prayer in the name of the father and the Son and the Holy Ghost. Life will talk to you. You do know that God does not speak English. That would be cheating. Listen!

      @@charlemagnetheFranks Been there. Not going back. It's part of why I think things I do now. And I really hope you don't refer to a serious mental issue as pathetic in front of the wrong person. That's a great way to get knocked tf out.

    Yea absurdism is prevalent in society and contradictions are "true." Example restaurant require masks when ordering in the name of stopping the spread but can be removed when eating. Should've stayed closed if serious.
    Another absurdism is democracy being the way forward, but the majority is ignorant that has no remote interest in intellectuals or philosophies, materials and social media Brownie points the focus.

    Absurdism feels like you are being punished for something you have never done and don't know. It feels like there isn't any meaning at all but you still have to keep it up. It wouldn't be absurdism anyway if you could only commit suicide. It feels like this is the right way, it is what it is. This is how it is supposed to be: accepting the fact and living without any meaning. Sometimes it also feels like this simple realization is the only thing that carries the meaning on its own.
    I love the philosophy of Albert Camus, it is good to imagine Sisyphos happy but you know it sucks even harder when you can't.

    • @IFYOUWANTITGOGETIT
      @IFYOUWANTITGOGETIT 3 года назад +1

      I also love Camus and the Myth of Sisyphus. Camus’ philosophy was that of a rebel. He never meant “imagine him simply happy”. He challenged us all to rebel against the Absurd.
      One must imagine Sisyphus [Defiantly] happy!
      Imagine Sisyphus looking up giving the gods a middle finger with a defiant grin. Camus hit the nail on the head. ❤️

    Amazing brother….
    Your content has the power to change lives.

  • @kerry-ch2zi
    @kerry-ch2zi Год назад +1

    Your images and the intelligent processes that go into creating them are evidence of your understanding of structures. However you frequently contradict yourself in your content. As you point out from Dr. Peterson, Our bodily experiences inform us about our emotions. Then you turn right around and proclaim that "biases" are problematic. These emotional responses ARE biases. Biases therefore are not "errors" to be "corrected," but the very data by which you understand your reactions to stimulus. It is your narrative that is "absurd" on this point. Your point about eclectic and multiple perspectives as the key however, is well considered. "Self-awareness" is packing foam semantics. It may sound good, but WHAT does it point to? The concept itself is absurd taken apart from any input for the process.
    There is no "purpose" apart from those circumstances that one must cope with. This consistent lip service towards some kind of gnosis is what makes Jung seem artificial among a lot of otherwise valid observations. If you are saying that it is the mechanism that searches for the meaning that IS the meaning, you cannot fail at arriving at the substantial. On the other hand, if you insist that some multiordinal term such as "meaning" is the substantial object ITSELF, you are searching for a "shadow" indeed. Jung is not a cosmologist, but this does not mean that everything that comprises the cosmos is meaningless. If that view seems "biased," I certainly hope so!
