Actually you can use it if you don't dig it in, but the garlic just needs a little extra nitrogen. It doesn't have to be manure.
@@booswalia Garlic doesn’t need any extra nitrogen. It needs nitrogen yes, like every other plant does, but giving garlic extra nitrogen, and not extra phosphorus and potash will make for nice green leaves and small bulbs.

We grow ten acres of organic gardens. We have one acre of garlic. One acre of asparagus. And the rest in gardens for for food.
Mebbe I'm the one that's different. My garden is lined on one end with garlic. I have flushes in a couple of places in the yard. The stuff just grows and when harvested you'll never get it all so it comes back just like before. Grows like a weed in my yard. Just wait until the spring blooms die off and that's the time to harvest. Next year...same or more garlic.

If u r from US then what agriculture zone r u in n what time of the year did u plant it.
