As a Roblox Developer with about 1 or 2 years of experience I will give my personal opinion on this question. Yes, Game Developing can be hard even in Roblox, but, it gets easier the more experienced you are as things don't seem so complex like they used to when you started.
I wanna get into Roblox development but I'm having doubts because I'm going to be a solo dev I'll push through and keep working hard every single day no matter what though. Btw your very underrated well done you'll make it somewhere just keep working hard.
I'm a 'solo dev', I've made over about 30 games so far. One game has been successful or sort of, having over 260K+ visits, the hardest part is getting people to play, and learning Lua (took me 2mnths). But besides that, I've been able to make over 100K Robux and also now I'm a dev forum member. I have a group with over 1k+ members and a Discord server with over 130+ members. So, it's possible to get there, just keep trying.
From my experience the hardest part is to stay motivated. I tried to fix a glitch for so many hours and also asked on discord and devforum but still couldn't fix it. After that I had no motivation to even start roblox studio because that was the most important script and it would be unplayable without it.
Im a Roblox Developer but it is a little hard but don't get discouraged, it might be hard at first, but you'll get the hang of it soon, I also took a long time to actually get used to Roblox Studio
There are so many good games which arent given recognition. The discover page is basically the same so unless you ran ads or a big youtuber finds your game, then its not easy to get popularity.
if u ruined code and cant fix it it dont means game is unfixable, just load old version of game and take a code from it then replace, then try again to add your stuff
3:30 i made the same thing but "cookie run kingdom themed" for the roblox collab event as a joke i just inserted some random free models and a background with cookies on it and it ended up getting 200k+ visits and it made me like 800 robux so yeah its easy

For a first game I recommend something simple like an obby or tycoon to earn you robux and experience then try making a harder game with difficult code and practice making games that you don't actually publish then you can work on your dream game I also planning on making my own game
Every roblox developer says like "Make a tycoon" or "Make an obby" but once you are done with it how are you going to make it popular? If it's a generic tycoon or obby game then good luck reaching it out to youtubers. If you decide to advertise it using roblox adverts then good luck because I bet 13+ barely click on ads or sponsored games. It's almost impossible now to grow a generic game without using a social media following. The only way to get a game popular is to make it well designed and unique and then if possible you can reach out to creators to grow your game.

It could also be hard if you're making something new and original, or simply something more complicated that requires more programming. The difficulty also depends on your skill level. If you're new, creating literally anything would be a challenge. There's another thing to take into account, and that is how hard it is to use Roblox Studio. Compared to more sophisticated engines like Unity and Unreal Engine it's relatively easier to use.
@pedrorobloxgameplay9293 I'd not recommend using it. The code it writes is rarely useful and is not very performant most of the time. It can help you debug by giving you ideas sometimes and can spot some mistakes in the code. Also, chatGPT alone can not model and build, animate, design UI and graphics, etc. 💀 I tested it a couple of times and tried to make a game with it alone. It wasn't getting anywhere, I had to code most of the stuff myself and rewrite huge portions of its code for the game to work. That in addition to the fact it was a very simple game and I specifically picked one that would be easy for an AI to make. Overall, if you don't know how to script, you'd have to be extremely lucky if you rely on chatGPT. Here goes another essay, but I can't explain stuff like this any shorter 💀💀💀

I tried to ad my game on a youtube video in my channel and it got 0 viewers lol. I am still making updates to game because coding is fun lol. Its really hard to grow your game.
The issue is that the genre of game you are trying to make is too oversaturated. Unless you have the money to enter the bidding war and paying youtubers and streamers to play your game, nobody is going to want to play _yet another_ simulator game. People are looking for new and creative ideas that would work well on a gameplay loop idea. I, for example, have spent 0 robux on ads and have gotten almost 20 million visits. From my personal experience, It's all about making a good and original experience FIRST, and THEN the money will come. Hope I helped :)

There’s much better games than brick bronze dawg. Games have been getting more explicit and detailed with actually good realistic graphics and gameplay. Deepwoken doesn’t have that good graphics but the gameplay is amazing and it almost feels like a actual souls like game outside of roblox. Might be one of the best games on roblox alone. It fully depends on what game you’re making to decide how hard game development is.

well to be fair, your running game is an almost direct copy of one of the roblox games in the roblox studio page.
