The extreme parfum is absolutely phenomenal…very sensual, dark and mysterious. Performance is also markedly better (projection and sillage) than the EDP.
I can't wait to try it. Noir Extreme is one of my all time favourite fragrances.
Great review, Chris. I was afraid the Parfum might not be too different. You’d think after all these years after the release of the OG, they’d make it a bit more special. I’m sure it smells nice and I plan to try it, but I’m a bit sad to hear that we’re yet again getting a slightly unremarkable designer release.

The noir extreme parfum performs very well. I’m getting the feeling that most of the people complaining either can’t afford it so they’re bitter, or are buying fakes
@@pwj86772 tuscan, leather and oud wood are two of my favorite frags, but they have reformulated the Tuscan leather and oud wood has a poor performance for the price. By the way, price is not an issue

@@tonymarinelli7304 yeah, oud wood doesn’t perform the greatest. About 4-5 hours average for me. I usually carry a decant to reapply on days where i wear it (which isn’t often anymore)
I've been testing this one for a week or so and everything you say, I agree with. One thing is, if you're buying the perfum because, like everyone else, edp isn't strong enough, you might be disappointed. It's not a "beast mode" edition of the edp. It smells significantly different and isn't too much stronger.

They must have changed the formula then. Because the regular version I bought in 2015 is a beast. Couple sprays and that's it ALL DAY power.
You cant deny TF set a new standard with Oud Tobacco/Wood, Tobacco Vanille, Noir De Noir, Tuscan Leather. Even Noir Extreme I personally believe was greater than some of his private line! I cant help but feel that with the number of releases TF is producing now ( I know its Estee Laudee) and reformulations plus parfums versions. Is the TF house still worth it in the fragrance market?
Don’t think so TF has a lot of Fanboys. The Scents are ok at best nothing you wouldn’t find in the Designer world. The scents are way Overpriced.
@@Morowinger Don't disagree, but the designer/niche price argument only works because designers get volume discounts. I question whether "niche" is worth anywhere near what is charged, and to my nose at least, TF perfumes are always high quality, so a slightly higher price might be justified compared to the average designer. Not a fanboy though 😂😅

I never pulled the trigger on Noir Extreme because it was just so intensely cardamom on me, I might like this better just from the deeper notes. I like a woody profile. Thanks for your input! Cheers

I blind bought Noir Extreme EDP. The scent is pretty fine, but nothing groundbreaking and honestly there are a ton of Designer Scents that do the same Job. But for a Parfum for €150 the performance is weak and a total disappointment. Well, the new one will also find his Fanboys and will be overhyped as the EDP.
TF sucks, sorry to say it… For that price it should perform MUCHHHH BETTERRRR.
the gold one projects good and last longer and the smell is incomparable ☺️
TF NEP is among my top 3 most favs in a collection of aprx 100 bottles. Its THAT good!❤
I'd put Tom Ford and Prada in a select group of designers for whom I am okay paying retail for a bottle I just can't play the waiting game on. They are in the top-tier from a quality perspective and it shows in their fragrances. That said, all of my TF and Prada bottles are from before their acquisitions by Estee Lauder and L'Oreal respectively, so I can't speak to any reformulations that have happened since.

Agree. I pay retail for this as I have TF Oud Wood and Tabacco Vanille. TF delivers the goods and this bad boy the extreme noir is a scent that says I have arrived in life.
the drydown at projection of this parfum is so soo good!! i want to buy it but the only problem is the price!😅 hence i will just go on le male elixir
I think I’m the only person who hates the all gold bottle look that Tom Ford uses. 1. It hides the juice level. 2. It scratches and wears off over time, which makes the bottles look bad. 3. It’s a bit cheesy IMO. Sorry I’m in the minority here.

Just my 2p… if you have the original, don’t waste your money unless you just collect for the sake of collecting or need a gold coloured bottle in your life. 😁

Just picked up a 100ml bottle of the parfum discounted to €150, have the EDP too, I really enjoy both but if I could only have one it would be the Parfum, very similar rationale to yourself, great video
My sample just arrived today. I need to have a personal rating of 10/10 to buy a full bottle of any Tom Ford fragrance. With saying that, I have full bottles of Tobacco Vanille (also have the body spray which is on par) and Oud Wood.
when i smelled this in the store (only off a strip) i couldn’t help but get stuck on what felt like a very dirty element to the fragrance, like literal dirt. sweetness + dirt is all i could attribute to it, but i’d love to test it on skin to see if anything is different
Thats cuz you werent smelling a strip, that was actually a used piece of toilet paper.

Got mine on Friday and I got Chocolate on the opening maybe my nose but Helen my partner said the same without prompt! Agree that they are similar I have both. Still not sure which I prefer yet 😊

Tried the new parfum tonight. Really like it!
This skews more smoky Vanillic Sandalwood with Indian Ginger , the original is more Cinnamalic- Ambery akin to Spicebomb, I prefer this new Parfum better. The beauty of this is in the drydown

I am excited to buy this one next after loving Ombre Leather, whew,nice,yay got it today and it was expensive but worth every dollar.The bigger bottle is the best option but it'll cost almost three hundred $$$$$$$$$$$$$$297 at Dillard's. Yay.

Might have to check this one out sometime. I have the edp and while I do enjoy it, sometimes the neroli can be a bit overpowering at times.

The parfum which blows this one out of this planet is Montale’s-Arabians Tonka…it’s a gem from Montale

I have Noir Extreme! I like it but I rarely wear it! I wore it one time when I went out to eat with my Mom,and she commented that I smelled great! You should do a video on what the father of the groom or even the groom should wear in a wedding? Ps. My 25yr old son is getting married in October? I just got fitted for a black tux and bow tie,so I want to look and smell like 007!
Tom Ford Oud Wood would go perfectly. Just buy a decant sample 5 or 10ml if you don’t want to buy a full bottle.

The only Tom Ford I have & treasure is Tuscan Leather Intense & Oud Tobacco Intense (they’re not available anymore anywhere)
To me, they are not even a "designer" fragrance. These could have easily been in the private collection, and people would have paid that premium for them. The fact that they aren't is a good thing because we don't have to spend hundreds for the scent
I haven't tried it on skin yet but Noir extreme smells like a woman's perfume on the test strip so I never went near it i was shocked how much i disliked it because i love my oud wood and oud minerale
In terms of longevity and projection, it's pretty much in the same range as the edp. Tom Ford should be ashamed of himself, with 200 bucks plus for 50 ml in my country, the strength is abysmal. The value for money is just not there at all.
You must the the only person who pays full retail price for fragrances ! Took me 5 minutes to find discounts to get 30% off the retail price

I don’t really wear fragrances for compliments or attention. But the EDP gets me attention in the cold weather. A lot of…erm…attention. :)
Tom Ford keep raising their prices and the counters at my local perfume shops are protective of the testers. Even more than the Creed reps are. I’ve heard of the Parfum but not seen it on the shelves so far to test.
Same mate, might be the strongest longest lasting fragrance i own, amazed when people call it a skin scent with weak performance, stays on me until i shower.

I’ve had noir extreme edp since Christmas, I do like it, however considering the price the atomiser is absolutely terrible, the cap feels cheap, honestly I’ve experienced higher quality with cheapies, and although I like the scent the performance really isn’t great, maybe the Parfum is better, I hope the atomiser is
Thats tom ford in a nutshell. Cheap plastic bottles and watered down juice. You just pay for the name (as nice as the scents are). Tom Ford has always let me down in terms of silage and longeivity, and cheap plastic bottles and atomisers
@@ngliscsaxon6128That's not quite accurate. The Private Collection has quality bottles with good performing (and beautiful) scents.
For me, only the scent matters. I don't mind the presentation, and even not the performance - if it smells awesome but has poor performance, I'll respray every 3-4 hours... it's the scent that matters.

TF is expensive for a reason, Companies like TF are for Rich people and Rich people dont want to wear something that masses wear. And honestly even people that can't afford them want them because its hard to get them and that triggers them.
If ever TF lower their price's it will be the end of them.

Those are all niche fragrance houses. Tom Ford is a designer fragrance, and those tend to be cheaper than niche... in terms of designer, Tom Ford is the most expensive, and I think it's fair to question the price given the lane it's in
