I think this is what is happening here. So player tries to summon companion. The summon processes so while player waits, he goes to the Starting Point dialog's blacksmith option. While at blacksmith, player goes temper reforge a weapon and choose the affix to temper but waits at that ok/cancel dialog 'Are you sure you want to use this umbracite to temper equipment' and he lets that dialog linger all the while the 'summon' that was processing at the background fails to connect so while at that notification screen of '...failed to connect...' the player finally closes or commits to his temper equipment choice. ATP, looks like some 'glitch' occurred that when the player is led back at the 'normal' Starting Point/Blacksmith feature, the player attempts another temper reforge of the same weapon but in doing so, this 'glitch' looks to 'override' the locked/innate affix of the weapon (Hikoemon Ichimonji's locked FIRE affix) enabling the player to 'choose' another innate/locked affix different to the default of Hikoemon Ichimonji If players are capitalizing on this 'glitch', I think the the benefit there is - players can 'somewhat' choose a natural affix of equipment like weapons or armors to a more 'useful' affix like say changing a locked affix of an armor piece to a 'Receive elemental attack damage x%' or say...changing the natural affix of a Narukami kusarigama to another element affix option within the temper reforge feature as the Narukami is of a higher damage base stats. Anyways, that was my takeaway off the glitch in this here video.
Another prerequisite to this glitch looks like is - player has to somehow 'control' summon disconnects in order for his glitch to succeed, so for this, player has a buddy that helps him guarantee his failed summons (or summon disconnects), since his buddy can cancel summons that will cause 'failed connections' for the glitching player
dunno, i think 135+ weapons drop after completing 999, but i am not sure. but u can 1 hit kill any boss anyway with lesser builds... 135+ is totally OP and u dont really need it ^^ some of my gear is only +30 and i 2shot everything in abyss without ever removing any ailments
