I first thought KB was messing around and destroyed, but listening again, dude his musicality is on another level and so fluid, while Fik-shun is an adventurous guy KB is a master sitting in his temple you can't predict his next move.
I am impressed by Fik-shun's technique, but damn KB he knows how to visualize the music as a music, Fik-Shun's hits are on hype all the time but KB has full control.
As impressive as these dance moves are, what I find baffling is that he knows the song so well too. He grew up dancing, so I wonder how many songs he just KNOWS. I can't comprehend the answer to this
I feel that KB has a very deep understanding of dance. My eyes get glued to kb when he dances, it is very fluid and he seems perfectly confident. Each beat is perfectly timed and isn't pretentious. While, Fik-shun has massive technical ability but lacks the same fluidity that kb has. Not all dancers will be the same, who is better is subjective but.. I would say that KB is like William Kemph playing the piano and Fik-shun is a robot playing the piano. I would also say too that, I feel like KB has an amazing "ear" when it comes to dancing, as in.. he can recognize when something is very good. His dance mixup is very good and isn't repetitive which makes me wonder what he's going to do next. Fik on the other hand, is super dull at times with some pretentious smile and wacky move. Beethoven, bach probably had great ears and knew when something was crap. Fik has a decent ear, his dance is characterized by his age level it seems. Its overly ambitious, etc etc. I don't why I am rambling, I know absolutely nothing about dance.
I like KB's style of popping better than Fik-shun's. He knows when to make certain pops stand out based on the music, Fik-shun goes hard on every beat, even in the softer beats, which isnt bad. I just like KB's freestyle better. They both wowed me though, that glide by Fik-shun, too sick.
Both were awesome but for some odd reason I was more wowed by Fik-Shun's freestyle more. He's younger, more versatile too. Love the wockee no doubt, but Fik-Shun has a bright future ahead of him. Good luck on SYTYCD I'm rutting for ya.
MrAffenjungs KB got destroyed and thats no shame cuz Fik-Shun is the best solo dancer ever , Jabbawocky's is the best Dance Crew hands down. Fik-Shun is freestyling, the outcome would have been the same with any song.
Its not that his not going ham, he is in his own way. look at his other freestyles, devastating stereo comes to mind. He doesnt normally dance as fast as Fik-shun. It's more about hitting those beats with certain moves, subtle beats subtle moves, larger moves for louder beats
Good stuff man. To be honest u did better then KB. I feel your musicality from here. Im going to Vegas on Aug. 4th for my 21st birthday. Hope to see u on the streets man. Been looken for a great dance sesh for awhile.
Wow, how on Earth did you get the opportunity to dance with a Jabbawockee?! Talk about once in a lifetime, man! And what was that funky ass track? I'd like to put that on a cd.
Greg7077 KB got destroyed and thats no shame cuz Fik-Shun is the best solo dancer ever , Jabbawocky's is the best Dance Crew hands down. Fik-Shun is freestyling, the outcome would have been the same with any song.
scorpion9xxx You're dumb as fuck, KB would destroy Fik-Shun on his best day with no problem and he beat him here when he was not even trying(okay maybe not in this video because KB clearly isn't trying). The best Solo dancer would be Tight Eyez then KB....
I'm a huge Jabba fan and no matter who they are compared to: Les Twins, Quest, Kinjaz, Fik-shun, in my heart i'll always want to say whichever Jabbawockee (whether it's KB, Tony, Phil, Punkee, etc) danced better than who they freestyled w/. But realistically, Jabba are getting older (KB could damn near be Fik-Shun's dad) and they spend most their time performing/creating for their shows in Vegas and don't have time to compete in real dance competitions (i.e. WOD, Body Rock) anymore or experiment on new things and freestyles. I actually found out about Fik-Shun through the comment section of a Jabba vid. I checked out most of his WOD vids and he's insane. Didn't even know he won SYTYCD until a couple days ago. My respeect for Jabba wants to say KB did better than Fik-shun's freestyle. But let's be real. Fik-Shun would out dance any Jabbawockee (that was hard for me to write), but this kid's insane. And reading the comments I know a lot of others feel the same. We can say KB didn't go all out (which he didn't, but I think he didn't because he already knew Fik-Shun's the better freestyler so there was nothing to prove). And I don't think Fik-Shun went all out either out of respect for KB, a Jabba, which is scary because he still crushed it. I say that because if you watch his other vids, he doesn't have half the energy he usually brings. Either way, this was a beautiful collaboration and hope to see fik-shun and Jabba do more collabo's in the future
I understand what you're saying, but take a look at other freestyles from kb. Most of them are slow, just because he isnt a fast-paced dancer doesnt mean he isnt as good as fikshun. Its just seeing two different generations vibing off of each other. Sometimes you have to watch a video and really listen to understand dancers. I was unimpressed by kb when i first watched this video, but then i came back to it after seeing other vids and realized how on point kb was.
chris71piooo Never wise to assume or put words in my mouth. I've been watching KB freestyles. The 1st freestyle I saw him do was at Kaba Modern's dance studio in '09(along w/ B-tek, Mike Song, and David Elsewhere doing solo's to Busta's "I'll Hurt You Instrumental" but can't find the session on YT anymore for some reason). I've seen KB's freestyles at his SGBM workshops which was way back. Imo it started after Mus.I.C when KB's freestyles started to digress, which is why I bring in age into it (compare his '09 freestyle to his 'Just a day in Germany' freestyle and you'd see a huge difference). Also, that "slow" style is called lyrical dance and quite aware of this (mix of isolations, waving, robotics, animation, tutting, popping and locking) where it's not about power moves, but being precise, hitting the beat perfect, and telling a story. Tha's why it works better w/ a crew. It's more visually stunning to see multiple members be so precise and easier to tell a story by using ripples and waving. Kaba Modern are the innovators of lyrical dance, but Jabba and Kaba brought it to the mainstream on abdc. Fik-Shun is a lyrical dancer, but it's more fast paced and powerful (such as his pop and lock) where Jabba and Kaba's lyrical dance are meant to be subtle and smooth. That's why fik-shun doesn't need a crew to dance. Les Twins are also lyrical dancers, but are closer to Jabba and Kaba's style but w/ more energy (I again refer to age). Lyrical dance is best represented now by The Kinjaz. Their "I See Fire" routine is the best I've ever seen w/o a single power movement and just "slow" movements
+JjM91084 That slow style is actually not lyrical dance, but kb is doing something similar. Lyrical dance is more or less expression over precision. Its also how the dancer feels the lyrics, not necessarily the music itself. Kb focuses on the beat, moreso than the lyrics, its what he did with his SGBM crew, its what he does now. Not saying that he's never practiced it before, just saying that its not his primary category of dance. That being said, sorry for my assumptions earlier. Its just that we dont know if kb's age is starting to catch up with him or if thats how he is interpreting the music. Like in the "That one time in Germany" video, everyone kept saying that they're getting old and stiff, but that's how the music sounds to me. It sounds more rigid and less "flowy?". I don't know, but i just think we need to see more freestyles from kb now since we dont have a lot to compare with the old.
chris71piooo No my dude, what he does is lyrical dance and if you know sgbm you should know that (there's a doc on sgbm on YT that talks about it). It is more interpretation, but precision is a big part of any dance no matter what style (hip-hop or not). Also checkout the interview w/ nappytabs, KB, and Phil during their practice sessions before Prism started. Nappytabs helped Jabba w/ choreo since abdc to their Vegas shows (and work w/ Kinjaz, Kaba Modern, Super Cr3w, and Quest). They say their style of dance is called "lyrical hip-hop dance". It's expression and precision and in the interview KB gives the best example about the precision part of his dance style using MJ as the standard of precision dancing. Every dancer knows MJ's moves were not technically difficult. But what made his dance amazing and special to watch was his precision of hitting those dance moves perfectly where it seems like the dance move was out of this world (the forward lean. the spins, the james brown shuffle). He practiced those moves to the point of perfection where it's amazing to watch and makes the moves look technically difficult and that's how he describes his crews dance style w/ lyrical dance interpretation. And you got it twisted, KB's style BEFORE he formed Jabba coming down to SoCal area was a different style of lyrical dance (you can see in some of his battles w/ Phil, Punkee, and Kgee vs. other NoCal dancers like James Dang or Bionic Bayani). It wasn't until forming Jabba in the SoCal area and especially after abdc and linking up w/ B-tek and becoming friends w/ Kaba crew members that he started to learn the lyrical dance and passed it on to sgbm along w/ B-tek. I think there's more freestyles of Kevin now then there were of him back in the day because he had a bunch of freestyles at the Kaba studio and battles w/ incredible dancers and can't seem to find them anymore, but it's been about 5 years since I've last saw them on YT. But in those vids you can see he's practicing his lyrical dance (which is what Kaba is known for). Also there's a convo I had w/ vinh nguyen (an old member of sgbm) and is a lot like KB because before he had a style that was this raw hip-hop style and sgbm taught him more of the lyrical hip-hop style and now is a great choreographer in his own right that's now a member of The Kinjaz and performed on abdc 8 recently. The convo w/ him was about his time w/ sgbm in the doc (which features KB and B-tek) and how he grew to really grasp that lyrical hip-hop dance. It's on his channel titled "Fine China", the one a couple years ago before he was on abdc or Kinjaz
+JjM91084 This was very insightful actually, excuse my ignorance. I thought i knew things, but i guess i don't. I may have mixed up the contemporary/jazz lyrical dance with whatever u are talking about, because the lyrical dance im aware of does in fact put emphasis on expression over precision. And i could have sworn kb Hupracticed something called beat-kun-do or something, but im going to trust you, which is something i dont do often. I'm going to do more research on this, as ive always been interested in the subject. Again, sorry for my comments, i guess we all can succomb to the ignorance of the internet once on a while. Unless of course i find out you're wrong, but you provided an argument, so... seems legit to me.
We all know KB is so humble and giving anyone a chance to shine.. but when KB hit the floor, this guy is the best beat manipulator ever... Fikshun is good too but KB is A BEAST when it comes into freestyling. specially with those kind of beat. All im saying is that KB will eat Fikshun alive in to freestyling. Joe and Phil, phi or tony tran will eat that guy fikshun alive too. Fikshun only have one style and thats the FACT.
davi eshu KB got destroyed and thats no shame cuz Fik-Shun is the best solo dancer ever , Jabbawocky's is the best Dance Crew hands down. Fik-Shun is freestyling, the outcome would have been the same with any song.

I think Fik-shun should slow down. He's got decent technique and some interesting tricks but I feel like his groove doesn't quite fit the beat. KB starts and it fits like a glove. I think this guy has potential to be as great tho.
KB was just a little better than Fik-Shun here. Oh..and for the dumbass rambling on about Kinjaz, Quest, Les Twins, Kaba Modern, etc. Jabba > Quest > Kinjaz > Fik-Shun > Les Twins > Kaba Modern. Jabba is the best in the World, period. Jabba is and always will be the GOAT..and LEGENDS.
KB got destroyed and thats no shame cuz Fik-Shun is the best solo dancer ever , Jabbawocky's is the best Dance Crew hands down. Fik-Shun is freestyling, the outcome would have been the same with any song.
Dont forget, the jabbawockeez are freestylers as well, its where they originated and its something many overlook. I personally couldn't decide who won, its hard when the two dancers come from different backgrounds and use their own styles, KB having that old-school vibe, and Fik-shun being way more fast-paced. I have seen KB incorporate more styles in his freestyles across RUclips; I kinda feel that Fik-shun is very similar, with slight variation, but nothing drastic, based on all the videos i've seen. I don't think that Fik-shun would beat KB in every situation, but i do think that they are within the same level of dance as each other.
What I really like about Fik-shun is that..while he dance he seems to enjoy it and sings to the song..
FIK-SHUN you might be one of my new favorite dancers dude! you are soooo good
I first thought KB was messing around and destroyed, but listening again, dude his musicality is on another level and so fluid, while Fik-shun is an adventurous guy KB is a master sitting in his temple you can't predict his next move.
2 of my favorite dancers in the same vid absolutely killing it.
KB is a pure legend. He's having fun here, but his entire career and the influence he's had is huge. Fik-shun is amazing too.
I am impressed by Fik-shun's technique, but damn KB he knows how to visualize the music as a music, Fik-Shun's hits are on hype all the time but KB has full control.
Fik shun laying down facts! The fact he can get his dance on w/ KB! Ohhhhhyeaaaa :)!
As impressive as these dance moves are, what I find baffling is that he knows the song so well too. He grew up dancing, so I wonder how many songs he just KNOWS. I can't comprehend the answer to this
He was born for greatness
Born to dance...destined for greatness..
I feel that KB has a very deep understanding of dance. My eyes get glued to kb when he dances, it is very fluid and he seems perfectly confident. Each beat is perfectly timed and isn't pretentious. KB has more experience and this is the young fikshun, In know this is an old comment but I just had to say if you hadn't known already
KB's move is very smooth, very fluid, I like the vibe he is fitting into the beat. Fik-Shun is a legend too. respect! thumbs up to both.
Fik shun ma man... R u always this gud?? U been dancin since u were born or waaa cuz u BEAST!
2 of my favorite dancers
lol a friend of mine hook me up wit a meet and dance greet . and thanks
You are a legend dancer

Kinda miss this old school Fik Shun 😢
Niiiiiice... KB is so clean.. Stops on a dime.. Like butta!
Both were awesome but for some odd reason I was more wowed by Fik-Shun's freestyle more. He's younger, more versatile too. Love the wockee no doubt, but Fik-Shun has a bright future ahead of him. Good luck on SYTYCD I'm rutting for ya.
KB just messing around and this guy going ham.
Lol yup.
MrAffenjungs KB got destroyed and thats no shame cuz Fik-Shun is the best solo dancer ever , Jabbawocky's is the best Dance Crew hands down. Fik-Shun is freestyling, the outcome would have been the same with any song.
Noah Landes You should always go ham when you are creating art. If you don't, you're just wasting time.
Its not that his not going ham, he is in his own way. look at his other freestyles, devastating stereo comes to mind. He doesnt normally dance as fast as Fik-shun. It's more about hitting those beats with certain moves, subtle beats subtle moves, larger moves for louder beats
dude, you're being too modest in your description. i love KB, and i love the wockeez, but you were badass, man. props.
wow! that was awesome! gooooo you =D and im really diggin those sounds too!
fik shun's body been build for that man...
*Young Fik Shun.*
Good stuff man. To be honest u did better then KB. I feel your musicality from here. Im going to Vegas on Aug. 4th for my 21st birthday. Hope to see u on the streets man. Been looken for a great dance sesh for awhile.
hey I just saw you on SYTYCD- my favorite so far
haha thanks man. i appreciate it.
Wow, how on Earth did you get the opportunity to dance with a Jabbawockee?! Talk about once in a lifetime, man! And what was that funky ass track? I'd like to put that on a cd.
KB was just messing around dude. He wasn't near dancing to his full potential. Fik-Shun still did amazing doe.
Greg7077 KB got destroyed and thats no shame cuz Fik-Shun is the best solo dancer ever , Jabbawocky's is the best Dance Crew hands down. Fik-Shun is freestyling, the outcome would have been the same with any song.

jrcolacola No one can simply destroy Fik Shun
spartanV48 You obviously know nothing about this matter....I won't waste anymore of my time.
jrcolacola Really? You must not have actually seen Fik-Shun. A dancer can't really destroy him, they could win, but not destroy
tell please what should to do to dance like first daancer? that's just awesome!!!!!!
Dude Perfect musicality here again!!!!
oh my gosh - his arm is so flexible!!!
How is the name of the song???...Fik-shun you are my great idol....I learn a lot of moves with your videos....thanks men.
I can make ya feel by fingazz

Love your move 😁
here after fik shun vs jrock

You could dance

NO DIFFERENTIATE DIFFERENCES RIGHT ? ✅ ?=+?
Kb is a good dancer, but he looks like my grandpa with the glasses
The major difference I see, is KB's flavour. Dancing with colour. Fik shuns got cool moves, but they're all the same colour. Still sick af dancer though. Way beyond me anyway lol.
No disrespect to KB, but Fik-Shun makes me forget that he's even in the video. I keep rewinding it back to HIS part. Sorry.

I think Fik-shun should slow down. He's got decent technique and some interesting tricks but I feel like his groove doesn't quite fit the beat. KB starts and it fits like a glove. I think this guy has potential to be as great tho.

Huh Wt.....
that song is stolen.
