Good work! No doubt this has been discussed - but perhaps there is an opportunity to invite guests to take part in tree planting or similar activities during the FOS as part of a 'carbon offset' principle, or to donate with their ticket purchases.
Hi Nick, thank you for your comment and sharing your idea. We’ve just implemented an option for customers to offset their carbon footprint by donating £1 when they book their tickets. We’ll pass on your feedback to our operations team around the opportunity to plant a tree when you’re at the event. Thanks again.
Back in the late 80's, early 90's a few acres of land was donated by Bernard Matthews in my village in Norfolk. Local schools got involved and thousands of trees were planted, Apple trees, Cherry, Willow, Ash, Oaks plus there's some really old trees including a huge Walnut and Cherry at the entrance. It's taken a couple of decades but it's a beautiful place now and great for walking the dogs. An old lady has been planting flowers and bulbs in there as well. The only problems with it are all the straight lines, the trees are starting to establish themselves in the gaps now, and the plastic that protected the young trees are littering in places. In 30 years Goodwood will be like that. 👍
It does more good than just cleaning the air. trees and hedges will make it quieter to the neighbors, and look nicer than the tyre wall. It just takes more work after they've been hit. Britain is probably still short on Oak trees as well.
OK. Future is looking better. We need to do that more to compensate deforestation and forest fires. Mainly for CO2 neutralization in our atmosphere. But stoping cities and poorer world from rapidly growing and green lands from disappearing is important too.
But then they'll ban all the existing ICE cars which are shown at Goodwood. Oh, and mandate vegan interiors; retrofit all existing standards of safety, etc.
First Last If the 98% of people who aren’t car enthusiasts take in electric and alternative fuel vehicles en masse, then the rest of us can spit all the flames we want. If we want ICE cars to survive, we need to keep them to ourselves while the rest of the world moves on to offset our output. Hell, imagine the price of gas when it’s no longer in high demand!
"We need to save our planet." ~Some Bimbo on a Goodwood video But, yeah, okay.... Fair. You got me... ....I was honestly expecting the Beast of Turin to come popping by.. You know, to bring some joy on a rainy day, with ear splitting backfires and big puffs of black smoke.
“Some Bimbo” You mean the Senior Motorsport Content Operations Manager? The one who presumably had a hand in even informing you that the Beast of Turin exists? Fuck outta here. Saving our planet is in the best interest of everybody-even those of us that love fire spitting 28½ liter brutes.
What posers! If you really want to go green you should crush all your priceless vintage cars. Meanwhile I'll burn some old tires... sorry, "tyres" in honor of your "going green" nonsense.
Yes we should plant trees!
Big ups to all involved.😊

Yeah, really cool
Carbon neutral F1.
Eco friendly Goodwood.
Hybrid and electric hypercars.
The world is crazy, but I don't mind.
as long as it means we're allowed to keep racing, I'm all for it

Like James May said, the only way to save ICEs are to embrace the electric vehicle.
Good job!
Someday someone will harvest them and make tolit paper out of it or paper strows
Looks like mr.beast is doing great
those plants are gona need a lot of co2 to survive.............
ETIMOSLAETUS They’ll get more CO2 than they’ll ever need, and that’s not even taking into consideration Goodwood...
