I always had a ton of respect for Francona. First ballot HOF'er, and it'll be great to see him go into the Hall with Miguel Cabrera (hopefully on the same day). Salud to you, Tito, from a Braves fan!
Im gonna miss him. Win or lose, his press conferences were something I looked forward to, to get his insight, and it helped take the sting out of some tough losses hearing him break it down. Thanks for the time here Tito!
Boy was I a dumb kid, had the chance to meet him and get his autograph and all I thought at the time was “well I’m more interested in the players” thanks Tito for giving me a childhood to remember, sending the Tribe to the postseason a couple of times, a World Series, and a historical 22 game win streak couldn’t write a better script without it sounding unreal
@@jake.porter He'll keep the team in stagnant, contact-hitting Watters. This team desperately needs the long ball and Thome is just the guy to teach them.
OK, I officially feel old. I saw Tito play for the University of Arizona against USC when I was a student at USC. IIRC, the 1979 or 1980 season, the year Arizona won the College World Series. Congrats on a great managerial career and on to Cooperstown in (I think) 2029.
@@RYMAN1321 I'm a little biased. Shoulda had one In 16. He broke the curse of the Bambino. Downb0-3:to the frickin spankees. Arguably, the greatest ever...
@@TrumpUpTheVolume99 I’ll give him credit for winning with the Red Sox in 2004 and 2007, especially in 04 as you said breaking the curse. But yes Cleveland should’ve won in 2016, the team imploded after going up 3-1. Granted I was still happy the Cubs won, their drought lasted 40 years longer than Cleveland and the feeling of winning your first title in 108 years isn’t something that comes around too often
Enjoy your retirement Tito! You deserve it! We will love you forever for what you brought to this city (Cleveland).
What a guy total class.. HOF Manager. From a Tiger fan
Congratulations Terry Francona on your great career, Coming from a White Sox fan
Deserves a statue here in Boston. Congrats on a great career Tito.
Tito, Cleveland Baseball just won't be the same without you. Under Wedge, they stagnated HARD, and he brought life back to the team.
Tito touched my sister

Thank you TF
I was a part of this with my 76 year old grandpa and it was great
I felt this coming, but I wish he could’ve brought a ring to Cleveland

Thome should be their next manager

Going into the hall as a Cleveland Indians. Spent more years there
@@Phoenix-pm2qr No rings though, he won two in Boston
Take a look at the lineups he used during the 22 game win streak due to injuries.

welcome back to Reds country, Tito.
Damn straight. GO REDS!!!!
Welcome to Ohio again, in Cincinnati
Lets cover trevor bauer story guys.. how mlb screw an innocent guy
He looks like he should be looking for Michael Myers.
The GREATEST MANGER IN BASEBALL HISTORY. HANDS DOWN!
Not by a long shot. He’s a good one but the lack of rings in Cleveland is a bummer
