I think it's important to note that while the lore is extensive in Twilight, it's all meant to serve a romance & wish fulfillment. It's not a "vampire story" by genre. ✨🎇🌟9 FUN FACTS TO KNOW 🌟🎇✨(skip if you don't want to read): 1) When he was a human, Jasper was part of the Confederate army. If you missed that. 2) In the book, Jasper was never in love with Maria...at least it's not canon-canon. When he kisses her at the beach, it's wrong that he just launches a kiss at her but it's very clear that he completely misreads her reaction to it... until the punch. Jacob is meant to be even bigger, but you kind of never stop seeing him as an awkward, moody kid through all his audacity and thick-headedness because Bella doesn't. "Clueless 16 year old boy spews his big feelings all over the place, making a mess because he doesn't know how to handle his hormones and changing body and first big crush" doesn't excuse the way he acts but it does make it seem less... sinister.
What makes me SO mad about Jacob is that he basically becomes a completely different character from Eclipse on! It really feels to me like Stephanie Meyer saw how popular he was becoming as the secondary love interest and had to make a sharp detour to remind everyone that Edward is the only "right" choice for Bella 😒
Rosalie deserved better, but I do love that she murders all her grapists. Her being added to the family for Edward is some toxic hetero nonsense (as is SO much ot Twilight), but it's good she has Emmet.

I'm sure someone else has already said this but the reason some have red eyes is because they drink human blood. The Cullens/denalis have golden eyes because they drink animal blood only. When they go without blood at all for a time their eyes turn dark brown.
There are interesting things in this book and movie. 1. Rosalie killed them but she didnt drink their blood, actually she hasnt drink blood in her whole existence. 2. The red eyes represents the blood in the vampire, when they are just tranformed they have the bloody eyes until a few months after, however they keep the same red if they drink blood from humans. 3. Bella was in love with Jacob, she understand it after the last kiss before the Battle. And even if Jacob gaslight her into that kiss, it makes bella think about her possible future as humna with jacob, their childs etc, and its SICKENING that after that last conversation with jacob she starts crying IN EDWARD ARMS for Jacob. She was feeling like she was breaking up with him.

Jacob is soooo much worse in the book. Like truly horrible, and it makes me think all the worse of Bella for falling in love with him (and is one of the things that makes me question why I was obsessed with these books and films in college). Edward actually lightens up a lot in this one, and he's easily the most bearable in this novel. Too bad we never get to see that on screen, and Edward remains a brooding twat who never smiles 99% of the films. I HATE that Stephenie Meyer made Jasper a Confederate (I grew up Mormon like Stephenie is, and her choice does not surprise me). If she was determined to make him a Confederate soldier, she could've at least made him a spy, who was aiding the Union to overthrow slavery, but no.

Alright! 👏🏽👏🏽 class is in session! Lemme show you how deep in the trenches i was as a teen girl loving on this entire franchise (this is a long one): * So the eye colour is due to diet, actually. Most vampires have red eyes bc they drink human blood, but bc the Cullens drink animal blood, their eyes (eventually) turned that golden brown colour. (This is true for the usual human drinkers, and the "vegetarian" Cullens) the lighter & brighter the eyes look, the more "full" they are, they're not as hungry. As they get hungrier/thirstier, their eyes get darker & darker - dark brown/black means they really need to go feed ASAP or else even a drop of blood will make them wanna lose control and eat the first human they see. - their thirst is something that's always there. It never goes away, it's this constant want that's always there, they just learn to ignore it better. But if you'd just fed & got full from drinking some human the other day, you still have plenty of space to eat another bc you can never be too full, really. (Sounds miserable.) That always there thirst that's always burning inside them is even more obvious if they drink animal blood only. * Twilight vampires don't follow the usual vampire rules. To the author, it didn't make sense to make them so strong & fast & powerful, and then have their weakness be the sun or some garlic or whatever. So these vamps sparkle like diamonds in the sun, vs the usual vamps who burn to death. Twilight vamps don't need invitations to enter anywhere, there's no magic keeping them out of anything. The usual vampires can bleed and give their blood to make humans stronger or turn them into vampires, but in Twilight, they don't bleed. Stephenie Meyer didn't think it made sense for these undead creatures to bleed; a human body gets very stiff & hard, and cold, a few hours after death, so these vampires feel like actual cold stone to the human touch (Bella was always talmbout how she was making out with the best smelling, ice cold marble statue with the most perfect lips and Edward didnt wanna cuddle too much bc she'd get cold🙄). - all you need to do is get bitten by them, no exchange of blood or anything. Whatever fluid that's in their body, which is almost nothing, is actually venom. So like how we have saliva on our teeth always, that saliva is vampire venom for these guys. - also, they don't have fangs that extend out. Their teeth are just sharp as hell. Stephenie didn't think it made sense for them to be able to extend and retract their fangs like cat claws, since they're supposed to be undead & immortal, so they're in a constant of staying exactly the same; why would something that can't change bc it's frozen at the age it turned immortal, be able to randomly grow fangs out of their mouths, or have dark veins move on their face when they're hungry, y'know. * You see how Rosalie killed her r*pists? She got creative with it in the books so that she never spilled any blood, and was never tempted to drink their blood, bc she didnt want any part of them in her at all. * So vamps are all generally super strong and can rip trees out of the ground right ("aS If yOu coUlD FigHt me ofF! THis iS tHe sKin Of a KiLLer, BellA 🤭), but some vamps can be stronger than others. So Emmett is stronger than the typical vampire. Edward can run a little faster than most vamps. Felix, that big guy in the Volturi who beat Edward's ass in Italy in New Moon, is one of the strongest vamps in the world. Which is why & how he became part of the Volturi in the first place. - Volturi sidenote: since they're the vampire government/royal family, they're the ones who enforce their laws on all vampires across the world, so they need the best of the best to be in their army - you can't just be a regular vampire. So what they do sometimes is find out which coven/family has vamps with special abilities, find some reason to say that that family is guilty of a crime, kills the regular vampires and then, "as an act of mercy", tell the remaining vamps that they can join their ranks. So Felix is strong AF (stronger than Emmett even), Jane can cause pain, her twin brother can incapacitate you with a black mist that makes you blind, etc. And they really want Edward and Alice - Alice for seeing the future, and Edward for reading minds (without having to touch anyone). I don't know, I think it's pretty manipulative of Jacob to be threatening to kill himself if he can't get with Bella. He thinks he deserves to be with her because he's "such a nice guy." 🙄 That's why Bella kissed him, because she still cares about him and doesn't want him to f***ing die. Not that she's perfect either, she kinda led Jacob on in the second movie. And Edward, while I'd argue he's sweet toward Bella, he also keeps things from her and makes decisions about her without her knowledge or consent. I swear, these main 3 all need therapy because they're *not* handling their relationships well.
Because it's a thing that happens in real life, where an abusive* person will threaten sue-of-side if their partner doesn't do x, y, z, for once in a movie, I'd love to see them get called to the carpet on it. Just watch their partner say "Yeah? Hi, 911? My partner is threatening to off themselves, send help right away" Or "Well, guess you better get to the hospital. Your choice, but I am absolutely not gonna be controlled like that. I can't believe you'd try to pull such a disgusting manipulative tactic on me." Just anything to show that no, you aren't responsible for their choices like that. Admitting these thoughts or asking for help and abusively controlling someone aren't even in the same ballpark. *Not saying Jacob's abusive. Toxic af, but not abusive. However, this is a common tactic in abusive relationships, so I'd love to see someone demonstrate that you don't have to buy it.

She wanted to be in a relationship with me, but I couldn't see her that way, so she wore down my self-esteem and boundaries until I agreed to "give her a chance" (even though I'm demisexual and that's not how it works with me). My anxiety only let that relationship last for 2 days before I had to tell her, "I'm sorry, but I can't do this. We can be friends, but I can't be your partner/date you."

@lunacouer no, fortunately not. I had kinda moved in with her and her bestie/roommate for like 3 months because I was over at their place all the time, and it was easier to stay there during winter. By the time spring came around, I went back to my own apartment for a few days and for the first time, I started to clearly see that she was manipulating me. I went to her apartment one more time to get my stuff (not telling her what was going on), then I blocked her phone. She walked over to my apartment as I was leaving for a job interview. She started emailing me and we got into a little back and forth and I put my foot down, to which she responded with a narcissistic rage (I don't use that word lightly, I don't know what other word to use to describe it). I stopped talking to her altogether after that and figured out how to block her email. She never came around again, fortunately for me. And this was almost 3 years ago, so

Urgh. When u was younger I thought Bella was really conflicted between the 2. Watching it as an adult, she really was always set on Edward. She was always with him. Always Loved HIM. I'm sure someone else has already said this but the reason some have red eyes is because they drink human blood. The Cullens/denalis have golden eyes because they drink animal blood only. When they go without blood at all for a time their eyes turn dark brown.

There are interesting things in this book and movie.
1. Rosalie killed them but she didnt drink their blood, actually she hasnt drink blood in her whole existence.
2. The red eyes represents the blood in the vampire, when they are just tranformed they have the bloody eyes until a few months after, however they keep the same red if they drink blood from humans.
3. Bella was in love with Jacob, she understand it after the last kiss before the Battle. And even if Jacob gaslight her into that kiss, it makes bella think about her possible future as humna with jacob, their childs etc, and its SICKENING that after that last conversation with jacob she starts crying IN EDWARD ARMS for Jacob. She was feeling like she was breaking up with him.
Yeah I really started to dislike Jacob while watching this movie like Bella told him she’s never gonna choose him🙄
Victoria should have been the main antagonist of the series.

Jacob is soooo much worse in the book. Like truly horrible, and it makes me think all the worse of Bella for falling in love with him (and is one of the things that makes me question why I was obsessed with these books and films in college). Edward actually lightens up a lot in this one, and he's easily the most bearable in this novel. Too bad we never get to see that on screen, and Edward remains a brooding twat who never smiles 99% of the films. I HATE that Stephenie Meyer made Jasper a Confederate (I grew up Mormon like Stephenie is, and her choice does not surprise me). If she was determined to make him a Confederate soldier, she could've at least made him a spy, who was aiding the Union to overthrow slavery, but no.

Alright! 👏🏽👏🏽 class is in session! Lemme show you how deep in the trenches i was as a teen girl loving on this entire franchise (this is a long one):
* So the eye colour is due to diet, actually. Most vampires have red eyes bc they drink human blood, but bc the Cullens drink animal blood, their eyes (eventually) turned that golden brown colour. (This is true for the usual human drinkers, and the "vegetarian" Cullens) the lighter & brighter the eyes look, the more "full" they are, they're not as hungry. As they get hungrier/thirstier, their eyes get darker & darker - dark brown/black means they really need to go feed ASAP or else even a drop of blood will make them wanna lose control and eat the first human they see.
- their thirst is something that's always there. It never goes away, it's this constant want that's always there, they just learn to ignore it better. But if you'd just fed & got full from drinking some human the other day, you still have plenty of space to eat another bc you can never be too full, really. (Sounds miserable.) That always there thirst that's always burning inside them is even more obvious if they drink animal blood only.
* Twilight vampires don't follow the usual vampire rules. To the author, it didn't make sense to make them so strong & fast & powerful, and then have their weakness be the sun or some garlic or whatever. So these vamps sparkle like diamonds in the sun, vs the usual vamps who burn to death. Twilight vamps don't need invitations to enter anywhere, there's no magic keeping them out of anything. The usual vampires can bleed and give their blood to make humans stronger or turn them into vampires, but in Twilight, they don't bleed. Stephenie Meyer didn't think it made sense for these undead creatures to bleed; a human body gets very stiff & hard, and cold, a few hours after death, so these vampires feel like actual cold stone to the human touch (Bella was always talmbout how she was making out with the best smelling, ice cold marble statue with the most perfect lips and Edward didnt wanna cuddle too much bc she'd get cold🙄).
- all you need to do is get bitten by them, no exchange of blood or anything. Whatever fluid that's in their body, which is almost nothing, is actually venom. So like how we have saliva on our teeth always, that saliva is vampire venom for these guys.
- also, they don't have fangs that extend out. Their teeth are just sharp as hell. Stephenie didn't think it made sense for them to be able to extend and retract their fangs like cat claws, since they're supposed to be undead & immortal, so they're in a constant of staying exactly the same; why would something that can't change bc it's frozen at the age it turned immortal, be able to randomly grow fangs out of their mouths, or have dark veins move on their face when they're hungry, y'know.
* You see how Rosalie killed her r*pists? She got creative with it in the books so that she never spilled any blood, and was never tempted to drink their blood, bc she didnt want any part of them in her at all.
* So vamps are all generally super strong and can rip trees out of the ground right ("aS If yOu coUlD FigHt me ofF! THis iS tHe sKin Of a KiLLer, BellA 🤭), but some vamps can be stronger than others. So Emmett is stronger than the typical vampire. Edward can run a little faster than most vamps. Felix, that big guy in the Volturi who beat Edward's ass in Italy in New Moon, is one of the strongest vamps in the world. Which is why & how he became part of the Volturi in the first place.
- Volturi sidenote: since they're the vampire government/royal family, they're the ones who enforce their laws on all vampires across the world, so they need the best of the best to be in their army - you can't just be a regular vampire. So what they do sometimes is find out which coven/family has vamps with special abilities, find some reason to say that that family is guilty of a crime, kills the regular vampires and then, "as an act of mercy", tell the remaining vamps that they can join their ranks. So Felix is strong AF (stronger than Emmett even), Jane can cause pain, her twin brother can incapacitate you with a black mist that makes you blind, etc. And they really want Edward and Alice - Alice for seeing the future, and Edward for reading minds (without having to touch anyone).

I don't know, I think it's pretty manipulative of Jacob to be threatening to kill himself if he can't get with Bella. He thinks he deserves to be with her because he's "such a nice guy." 🙄
That's why Bella kissed him, because she still cares about him and doesn't want him to f***ing die. Not that she's perfect either, she kinda led Jacob on in the second movie.
And Edward, while I'd argue he's sweet toward Bella, he also keeps things from her and makes decisions about her without her knowledge or consent.
I swear, these main 3 all need therapy because they're *not* handling their relationships well.
Because it's a thing that happens in real life, where an abusive* person will threaten sue-of-side if their partner doesn't do x, y, z, for once in a movie, I'd love to see them get called to the carpet on it. Just watch their partner say "Yeah? Hi, 911? My partner is threatening to off themselves, send help right away" Or "Well, guess you better get to the hospital. Your choice, but I am absolutely not gonna be controlled like that. I can't believe you'd try to pull such a disgusting manipulative tactic on me."
Just anything to show that no, you aren't responsible for their choices like that. Admitting these thoughts or asking for help and abusively controlling someone aren't even in the same ballpark.
*Not saying Jacob's abusive. Toxic af, but not abusive. However, this is a common tactic in abusive relationships, so I'd love to see someone demonstrate that you don't have to buy it.
@@lunacouer yeah I had a friend who did this to me, but in an extremely subtle way. She was very gaslighty and good at reverse psychology. She wanted to be in a relationship with me, but I couldn't see her that way, so she wore down my self-esteem and boundaries until I agreed to "give her a chance" (even though I'm demisexual and that's not how it works with me). My anxiety only let that relationship last for 2 days before I had to tell her, "I'm sorry, but I can't do this. We can be friends, but I can't be your partner/date you."

@lunacouer no, fortunately not. I had kinda moved in with her and her bestie/roommate for like 3 months because I was over at their place all the time, and it was easier to stay there during winter. By the time spring came around, I went back to my own apartment for a few days and for the first time, I started to clearly see that she was manipulating me.
I went to her apartment one more time to get my stuff (not telling her what was going on), then I blocked her phone. She walked over to my apartment as I was leaving for a job interview. She started emailing me and we got into a little back and forth and I put my foot down, to which she responded with a narcissistic rage (I don't use that word lightly, I don't know what other word to use to describe it). I stopped talking to her altogether after that and figured out how to block her email. She never came around again, fortunately for me.
And this was almost 3 years ago, so
