Maybe the best thing ever! Can't say how well the music pairs with the feeling of what it was like to be there during these times. A much more open accepting dangerous NYC. Not sure we realized how free it was now that times have changed.
Onnion France boo hoo another guy pines about the past and the 90s were the most fantastic decade ever right? So many advancements right? Fuck i hate looking in comments to see sad saps unsatisfied with life
@@smokinnplatez1426 Sorry u missed NYC in the late 1970s/early80s was the point. It's not the 1990s as the westside highway wasn't even there as you can see from the Twin Towers. The point was NYC was like the Wild West. My comment made no sad nostalgic wishing for NYC. The point was that this song was written by someone who was too young to even be there and it captures the FEELING of NYC then. Why attack me (ad hominem ) ? for a comment. The antithesis of what NYC was like .It was open and far more accepting of everyone than it is now. Anger gets you nowhere
I already love them and it hasn't even been 5 seconds into the video... LUCKILY I look at YT comments and some guy said he loved them on a DIIV video. :)
this is awesome, but my one suggestion would've been to slow down the footage in time with the music. I feel like a disconnect starts to form towards the end. Otherwise, great great great
This is my grounding song. I listen to anything & everything but I always come back to this beautiful record to set my brain back to normal mode.
Ditto.
The video footage should’ve slowed down near the end just as this song does. Would’ve been brilliant. Such an amazing song!
those people deserve to be caught in time just like the rest of us
great song, set and ambient in the 80s and fused modern lotus plaza current 2000. amazing
LOVE HOW IT SLOWS TOWARD THE END LIKE IN A CREEPING SLOWDOWN THAT YOU DON'T NOTICE TILL IT NEARS IT'S END!

this song + video makes me cry
This is profoundly beautiful.
favourite song, great video. shame people dont know this
One of the most artistic music videos I’ve ever seen
not heard music this good since my teenage years in manchester, united kingdom...1990s...
I've been coming back to this video since December as a go to thing. It's really perfect. Thanks, whoever you are.
Mr Pundt, you are a genius.
I wonder what people a hundred years from now will think of this music and this video.
probably how awesome it is
People ? You mean robots and aliens
Like me
put it on pretty much accidentally as background music but ended up listening and watching in utter amazement:)
this video is SO PLEASINNNG
this dude spent a lot of film on it 👏👏👏
best song of the past 10 years
Gorgeous.
Man I love how they slow it down at the end.
Awesome song, amazing vid. Yet another record to discover
I feel like this video expresses perfectly the platonic ideal of what a city is.
Beautiful
Album in the pocket !
I love Lockett Pundt voice
After listening to this album, I feel that Pundt gave a lot to Microcastle. Both of them have the same feel.
makes me that much more sad they've moved away from dreamy drones towards the current state of mostly pop :(
microcastle is one of my favourite albums ever.
One of my favorite tracks and still is
This song always calms me down when I’m in a rut.
This is BRILLIANT!
the album is a jewel.
Wow! What a great tune! Cover or not. The video adds to it really well also.
80s New York, it's like a dream I always have.
Your videos are all beautiful.
Well done !
sensacional..sobre todo el final..cambios de ritmo estocasticos que conllevan al fin de todo..al real y gracioso fin de todo.
Superb tonal match between footage and music, amazing!
Encontrar este tipo de sitios, aunque sea por un rato, es de las mejores cosas que tiene la red.
I already love them and it hasn't even been 5 seconds into the video...
LUCKILY I look at YT comments and some guy said he loved them on a DIIV video. :)
I'm getting a LOT of Real Estate vibes.
Love me some good jangle pop.
I absolutely love this channel, so unique and artistic! Thanks!
Love this tune! Enjoying the visuals you've put to it as well!
Outstanding. I wish someone will play this at my funeral.
king of melody
Awesome song. Love the ending.
Fantastic !
amazing everything
A mix of Deerhunter and Real Estate
+Carol Monteiro Reis good cal
+Carol Monteiro Reis Lotus plaza has two members of Deerhunter in it.
Exactly what I thought
Read my mind!
A hint of the pastels and the orchids in the mix to nice blend of daydream bliss though😘🎂
Great video
magical drums
The type of songs you listen to when the homies aren’t around
This is music for homies also :v
How sad
Delet this 🔫
the end part reminds me pf interpol
The whole song, for some reason, feels like from Turn On The Bright Lights
Wow. It is true. It particularly reminds me of PDA
this chord progression reminds me of to here knows when
Yay i'm going to go sleep and have weird dreams now thanks XD
great !
Superba musica.
best song of summer 2012

JET OUT OF TUNDRA .... BEAUTIFUL.

2:46 wow
canción del año por lo menos, es magnífica
XO
@2:45
agreed.
the drums are like No Cars Go by Arcade Fire, anyone?
Sharp ears...It's quite the same tempo/bassline even though, and let's be honest on this, in No Cars Go the drums have more power/vim!
eeeeeeeeeeeeee
Finally...I made it.
Lockett Pundt is a shoegaze wizard.
this is awesome, but my one suggestion would've been to slow down the footage in time with the music. I feel like a disconnect starts to form towards the end. Otherwise, great great great
0:22 :'(
Lee Watson*
cassmark!
These sound like the drum roll from Kanye - All of the lights
Its like Galaxie 500 x Felt
It's 80% a copy of Deerhunter's Desire Lines!
Because Lotus Plaza is the solo project of the guitarist/vocalist of Deerhunter, Lockett Pundt.
reminds me of real estate
I always wanted to fill up a bunch of trucks with around 800 pitbulls and let them loose on Manhattan
Almost identical drums to No Cars Go by Arcade Fire. I don't mind at all, just saying. Great track!
2.45 ;)
Deerhunter's Desire Lines?
Reminds me of DeerHunter so much
Well...he IS in the band! :)
ha , i found that out right after this song finished . amazing band(s)
similar to desire lines. he sings that also in DH :)
so this is shoegaze...... WELCOME¡
It's very much not shoegaze. Just great jangle pop. (The Smiths, R.E.M., The Church, Robyn Hitchcock, et al.)
the twin towers....
video's cool. music's kinda tired
The drum beat is Arcade Fire's Us Kids Know copy
uh no
Sorry but those opening riffs are The Cure's
I think this is nostalgia for gen z
